Those who are getting wifi disabled when the modem or router is at a distance:
1. Use manual configuration
Go to wifi > long press on netwrk which gets disabled > modify network >show advamced option, check it > ip settings, change to static > configure it
2. Go to internet settings using192.168.1.1 or whatever you have > wireless network > disable authentication or use WPA 2 authentication, than save it
This should help as it worked for me in lewa rom and some others
Thanks if i helped

The second point is related to modem setting through PC.
you need to enter the ip address provided to you by the modem manufacturer in the internet browser. (generally is 192.168.1.1).
then enter the id and password as mentioned on the backside or at the bottom of the modem. (Generally "admin" is used as ID and password)
and them apply the setting mention in the second point.
Hope this was helpful.

You might need to manually edit: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
here is a link about it (see post 13 for details)

I don't have that option, i only have add apn option.
Go to Settings>About>More Info and post what OS sys you are running. You might have to update before you can edit the APN if your system is too old?

I don't get you !
Up address can't be changed though I can help you get the modem settings on phone :
First install speedtest.net it tells you your ip address then paste it in browser now it asks for username and password and that details are written on WiFi modem itself generally it is admin and pass login

Try Phone info. If it does not work then factory reset.
Go to Settings > More... > Mobile Networks. You should be able to change your network settings there.

Are you sure SmartNetwork mode really works, not just toggles this feature on/off?
I'm trying it on GT-I9506 JB4.3. Both features can be enabled.
1) ToddlerMode - is just master switch of WiFi and Data. It works fine and more important - it remembers wifi and data settings and restore correct states.
2) SmartNetwork requires widget as a companion which by default is disabled on I9506. It can be enabled in SecSettings bools.xml file. Look for "config_smart_network_widget_enabled" option. This widget actually toggles the feature (not statusbar quick settings button). Unfortunately, the only action it does is changes "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" option between "Always"(When disabled) and "Only when plugged in"(when enabled). It doesn't affect mobile data setting.
Thus, if you use mobile data connection then Smart Network won't disable connection while sleep.
How about Smart Network on I9505 and KitKat?

You can't access the data base because your kernel is secure. Flash an insecure kernel or you can try making SE Linux permissive on the build.prop, remove all Knox, and doing a full wipe
