CM 7 802.1x Enterprise Support - T-Mobile LG G2x

Is there a way to add 802.1x Enterprise support? Or is there a certain thing I need to do to access it?
I need it to access my university's wifi network
non video link

Mine works perfectly using PEAP. Do you know what authentication mechanism your school is using? Is it certificate based or just using RADIUS?

You might need to manually edit: /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
here is a link about it (see post 13 for details)

Thanks I edited it and I will check next time I am on campus (summer break now)

So I edited the wifi conf file and after I restarted my phone I can't connect to wifi at all... It says error every time I try to turn on wifi... I restored the backup I made and restarted and still no go... I checked the permissions and that didn't help either... an ideas?

Hello,
I have same problem on MY HD2 with CM rom. Lot of tries but with same result.
I have tried pptp lot of times. But only with half result. I am able to connect, receive IP from pptp server and also I can ping routers LAN IP. But that's all. I am not able to ping other address from LAN. My Vpn setting on hd2 always shows "connecting" and connection crash after 10 sec. I thought it is problem on my router, but maybe not. Behaves it similarly for you?
thx for replying ...
i think it's about rom ! as i attached screen shots i can not connect !
i tested nexus one HD2 and vpn worked correctly , some time in PPTP i faced as u say
but it refers to your settings ! try L2TP
I hope it solve your problem
sorry for bad english

your problem and mine in vpn is diferent but it maybe help me !
please give me full step with app you used it
thx buddy
Use application "es file explorer" set root explore and mount filesystem in setting of app - it allows you to change properties of file. Then navigate to /etc/ppp/ long tap on file ip-up-vpn select properties and select read-write permission for all.
Hope it helps

Hello which kernel do you use? I made some tests and only kernel_hieros_v1.7.4_HD2 kernel is able to make vpn. I tried also Tytung kernel R12-SEP12-HD2 and kernel_Kefir_v0.9.7.4_HD2 but with this two kernels without luck.

Need network packet sniffer please help

Hi!
I searching for a network packet sniffer for my android phone and I need some suggestion.
Here is what I should do:
I'm a system admin in a small company where I'm the owner too.
I have 8 PC-s and 1 server all have access to internet.
I wish to capture tcp ip traffic into a .pcap files like on windows systems with wireshark but right now I don't know which app would be good for this to do with my android phone.
Oh, yes, I have to do it with my phone...
Some advice would be nice.
Thank's
Search packet Sniffer on android market.
However I recommend Shark for root
I think this will help. If it did, please "THANK" me
Sent from my Blade using xda premium
Ok, I tried before the shark app but it wont capture the packet of my network traffic like on PC and my network is sharing the information's through switch and this is a new problem for shark.
I have to spoof first the switch with some app but I can not find one.
There was earlier an app I think it's name was spoofapp or so but now it is removed from all the place on the net (searched around 10h) and only a limited version is reachable... :-(
Check this out

I think this will help you. if it does please THANK me.

I don't get you !
Up address can't be changed though I can help you get the modem settings on phone :
First install speedtest.net it tells you your ip address then paste it in browser now it asks for username and password and that details are written on WiFi modem itself generally it is admin and pass login

Wifi Hotspot

Does anyone know how to activate wifi Hotspot? I mean without paying sprint big money for a small amount of data usage. I purchased unlimited data for just this purpose.

You need root if you wish to do that. Once you have that there are apps that can do it easily for you!

Confirmed. Although the speeds are horrible, I'll have to find out why.
I'd wait for the hot spot flash file so you can use the native hotspot app built in like the s4

I've seen fabio's o a couple threads,
even a mention that difficulties were overcome,
I tried the settings on his website, no-joy,
any help appreciated...
I have the Sprint variant, rooted...
thanx
I just used the default settings. I tried to change the password but that was an instant fail. It asks for root permission from super su and starts. If its on n u reboot the phone you must turn the app off then on again.

I have it working. You can use this xposed module.

You also have to edit your SQL. Everything is explained and easy.

"and have the Xposed framework installed"
Sorry, I'm not familiar with Xposed framework.
Xposed framework is cited as Must Have.
Does the Sprint GS5 have Xposed framework installed?
thanx in advance...
No. Xposed framework is an add on for root users. It let's you install other mods. To get xposed framework, download the xposed installer from here:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Then install the apk, open it and install xposed. It will tell you to reboot. Once you reboot, open it and go to downloads. Search for tether and you'll see the tether app. Also try out Gravity Box, Wanam xposed, they are modules, basically let's you change everything about your phone.

OK, so I followed those steps and it look s like its gonna work but then after a minute I get the notification that I am "Not subscribed to the hotspot service..."
I opened the SQL file and the value of tether_dun_required is back to 1. I tried changing it to zero, rebooting, and trying again but it doesn't work. Something keeps changing the SQL value back to 1.
Any other ideas? Does someone actually have it working this way using the native HotSpot in settings?
I don't have an Android phone any longer, switched to a Windows 8 phone just for a change of pace.
Don't know if Sprint (or Samsung) changed anything as far as the HotSpot goes on the S5.
I do know that it's much easier to do the mod on a DEodexed rom. On an odexed rom, you must first deodex the services.jar and services.odex, do the mod and then reodex the file. The method I used for reodexing required having an actual phone.
For deodexing the rom, I used Dxisda's kitchen which only runs on Linux. Unfortunately, I removed my Linux setup to recover the partition space on my hard drive. It's a chore to get that set back up, and don't plan on doing it. I'm sure someone will get a deodexed stock rom out there fairly soon, they always have in the past.
I am kind of curious if the hotspot mod will still work though and I DO still have the tools installed to deodex the services jar. If someone will send me the services.jar and services.odex from there phone, I'll take a look.
Unfortunately, what you will end up with is a deodexed services.jar that won't work unless you have a deodexed rom to run it on.
