I would like to propose that there should be separate forums for the development of the I9500 & I9505, just like with my last phone the I9100 which was separated from the I9100G.
The reason I think this is that the Galaxy S4 is quite new and there are not many threads yet, but as a I9505 owner from Australia I still find it difficult to find threads relating to my specific varient.
What does everyone else think?
I think its fine how it is but the idea will help the people who just simply cant read the title

It's not that, I just think it would be quicker more efficient that's all.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I didn't see that.

Can you use a ROM for the GT-i9100 on the i727?
If not, why not?
Maybe you could use a radio designed for the i727 and the ROM designed for the GT-i9100 on the i727?
NO they are different in specs! Gt-i9100 has Samsung S5PC210 Exynos 4210! & I727 has Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 !
Well you can flash it if you want paper weight

I guess the 150 other threads. Asking this exact same question were not enough. This and most likely any question you could have have been answerd countless times. All you have to do is spend 5 minutes reading.

Save ur breath bro, u got too much time on ur hands. I did a Google search no direct answers came up.

Thats weird . Because when you type it in the search box. The dozens of threads with the same question came up in about 2 seconds. And was just trying to help you. Bro. So if u have anyothe issues. You wont have to wait for people to reply for the answer.( use the search box at the top of the xda page) its a google custom search. It searches xda threads

I just thought the way you wrote it seemed a little rude. This time I did a Google search not a forum search. Next time I'll do a forum search also.

Noticed that ICS is now ready for download for T-Mobile Galaxy 2, praying for a port to galaxy blaze, anyone going to try and port it?? If not, any opinions on best custom rom and tweaks would be welcome!!

LOL, another thread for ICS on the blaze? I believe this has been covered a number of times now.
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand it is possible to port ICS over from another phone however that requires creating a kernel from scratch. Doing so is extremely time-consuming and difficult and there's no point for a dev to work on that when we're slated to get an official release on our phone in the (hopefully) near future.

This type of comment/question doesn't belong here in the "Android Development" section. Please use the General section for this. Also please familiarize yourself with the 'search' feature. As someone else stated there are like half a dozen threads about this already. Also please read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699450
I would also ask our community to NOT respond to these posts when they are in the wrong section. If someone can't read or help themselves by searching and learning from what is already posted here their question doesn't deserve a response. Not trying to be rude here, but seriously there has been 2 of these kinds of posts in the dev section in the last month.
Then don't be rude.

I think its about time we got out own thread for general apps and q and a, the current threads are stuffed with s3 stuff which is not related to our device

I concur,
Bit confusing on what's what. We definitely need a separate thread.

I hope it does happen, the phones are just too different. If they split up the US AT&T, Sprint, TMobile and the Int I9300 etc... then surely ours defo needs a seperate sub-forum!

Thanks again Scotsman.
If there are enough threads to warrant a dedicated section, we'll do it. chwads2k8: can you round up all of the threads (besides the obvious ones contained within this thread) and send me a PM?
I think the mod means all the threads like Questions and stuff in the I9300 threads.. Woah that will be hard lol
Honestly All i basically asked for to the moderators about 1 week ago is a seperate Q&A thread aswell as this thread we already have. Only because when someone asks a question about this device it gets lost almost instantly... Maybe if we atleast start with a Q/A thread that will allow general questions and discussions about this device only. It will work and then when this device starts to become bigger and bigger then maybe we should get the whole new thread with, themes/apps/ Q/A, general, original development etc....
So for now the most important is a Q/a thread and the dev thread... But the Dev thread should be allowed to have apps & themes in it. and the q/a thread should be allowed to have general questions and info on the I9305
+1 for separate thread. It's not too bad sorting out I9305 vs I9305T, but too many differences vs I9300, as we've seen with the lost IMEI posts for example.
Someone else continue with this i decided to get rid of my phone and got note 2

How about we just add a I9305 dedicated Q&A section? Would that solve the problem?

Excellent. Yes this would solve the major prob of having questions being on this thread and getting lost in the i9300 thread. Just use the exact same title as this thread showing the main spec differencies as this will stand out gt-i9305 (4g + 2gb ram) but instead of development have Q/A

Hi to you All.
I just have a Question and i really have no experience with this forum ( new to it ).
I don't know where to post my question, I posted it in a reply in some Threads but i didn't get any answer, so i posted it here and if there is anything wrong feel free to tell me in-order to learn .
I have a new international Samsung GT-N7100, and i wanna root it and put fine Rom in it.
How can i know that is a good Rom for me? What makes a Rom better than the others? Does Rooting legal or illegal?
Note: please send me a message with the comments and answers so that i can see it, because for my 1st time sure i will be lost .
Thanks in advance
This should belong to Q&A section....

Ok Have Any Ideas When It Will Be Ready ?
The devs will post when they have any news (it is rude to ask for eta's). It wont be hard to tell once we get it, They are working hard on it.
In the mean time 4.1.2 is very stable nowadays.

Questions go in General when there is no Q&A

Understandable. Forum rule 15 gives a list of subforums and what they are best suited for.
