Head over to daydeal.com they have some accessories even a TV out cord that says its for the incredible and g2 ( anyone got extra cash to buy it and see if it works? ) I ordered this clear case with a kickstand I'll put a review when i get it. But take a look. Not much of a selection but might as well be prepared
have no plans of making a fat phone fatter. maybe an invisible shield or BSE but no hard case for me.
Hate to say it, but I don't think we'll be seeing much accessories for this phone. Due to it being a Tmobile phone only, I just don't see many making products for it.
Im gonna get something to protect the back cuz it looks like it gets scratched easily

I'll probably just keep my eye on decalgirl.com and wait for them to release some of their awesome quality skins. I've used their product on all my handheld portable devices that they make skins for.

I doubt only being for tmobile will make it have less accessories. I have so many cases and such for my nexus and the nexus was mostly used on tmobile but now they have it across seas. The iPhones an at&t only phone and it has too many accessories. And to ditto what he said there is also the desire z

I understand that the Desire Z will be out as well, and that still means nothing. All those cases you speak of for the Nexus One are cheap cases found on eBay, or made by some cheap China company. I know because I own a Nexus One as well, and it took a while to find a great case for it.
Also, to compare the new G2 to an iPhone is just stupid. iPhone carries the name, and has been around for years. Of course there's a ton of crap for it. Heck the G2 won't even come near to selling a quarter of what the iPhone, nor will it come close to what the Galaxy S has for that matter.
All I'm saying is that we won't see the nicer accessories made by the better companies make product for this phone. We're just gonna get stuck with those cheap ebay crap.

You can't really blame them. In a business perspective making accessories for the iphone is the most profitable since iphone is, in a sense, dumbed down for the masses. Right now I think Apple and Blackberry combined own at least 50% market share. So unless Android can somehow bring their share of the smartphone market up another 10%, I doubt accessory manufacturers will see accessories for Android devices as a primary source of revenue.
Android devices are made for geeks like us who like to customize instead of having things already premade for us. So I'm sure this aspect will appeal to more and more people in the near future. And from what I've seen, HTC has brilliant marketing campaigns. I'm sure in around 3 or 4 more quarters android will have a much better standing in the smartphone market and more accessories will be made. Just my 2 cents.

I just contacted DecalGirl and they said that the phone is scheduled for R&D for their products. They seem to have a pretty quick turnaround once they have a template made for a device.
i have a 99 cent silicon case for my nexus one which came with a free screen protector. they work great, and have kept my phone flawless.... so cheap ebay stuff works just fine for me.

Anyone know any good sports armband to hold my galaxy while i'm jogging ?
I've looked at google/ebay and found only universal cheap stuff that doesn't look all that great.
I simply want something to hold the galaxy (which I play music from and use apps for sports), protect it from damage and sweat and allow me to use its functions.

In that case i'll go for pro armbands, marware and such i guess...

I've looked through the forums. If I remember right, you recommended the iGatdgitz one. I've been going through the net for hours looking for this and the Vangoddy one but found it nowhere in stock.
I am still wondering whether every iphone4 armband will fit. Usually quality companies create stuff for them and if that's true then it's probably the best solution.

Iphone4 armbands won't fit, the dimensions are slightly off. Iphone 3GS ones on the other hand will, I use a generic iphone 3GS armband and it works like a charm.
i ve got one for iphone. sgs is slightly longer, but in practice i am really satisfied...
google for "SportWrap Armband"
br
There you go:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sports-Gym-Jogg..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item20b7ce1905
If the iPhone 3G armbands fit there are probably some very good ones out there as others have suggested, certainly would be worth looking into also.
I will order this one:
h**p://w*w.amazon.co.uk/Navitech-Neoprene-Resistant-Jogging-Reflection/dp/B00486SH3Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1300140440&sr=8-3
It's simple, and I think it will fits perfect!
http://www.igadgitz.com/products/fi...-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-android-smartpho.html
Fits the phone like a glove but strap can be too short if you have big arms.
IF you get an iphone one, just make sure the material can stretch a bit. (They usually do)
Is the igadgitz too bulky, looks like I would get very sweaty in it?
I have looked everywhere for the miCoach one but that appears impossible to get in Australia without paying more then the armbands total value..
Hey everyone,
Just got one of these for free for buying the Samsung camera I wanted... lol. Now I thought about selling it, but since it price dropped to 150 in Canada I was thinking of buying another and giving them to my niece and nephew (brother's, age four and two) and my nephew and niece (sister's, age four and one). Now the latter already uses an iphone for games and sort of gets it. So I think he could transition into this easily enough. The former, not much, but my brother has a tab and he could show them and so could I, etc.
All in all, I am just wondering how kid friendly it is. I don't plan to deviate from stock roms, just because I know there can sometimes be issues. Might get rid of stupid heavy touchwiz and make sure it's on JB, but that is it. And possibly a dumb question, but if I root and start removing preloaded apps, is that OK, or will it have adverse effects?
What about apps for them? Parental lock?
If it is all terrible, I may just wait a year for a new generation.
The other thing is that I would needed cases for them, preferably on the sturdier. Otterboxes seem to be impossible to find, at least in Canada. Anything else in the tougher case area? Even though it is close to Christmas, waiting isn't much of an issue.
I did find these and they look nice enough: http://www.amazon.ca/Fosmon-Revolvi...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1355546811&sr=1-2
But I am worried as far as actual drop protection goes. These kids are pretty good with the stuff, nothing has been broken yet, but I am paranoid, yet I keep all my devices naked...
Any help and pointers are appreciated. I am on a budget of a hundred per kid, so this just about works out.
Oh and if this is in the wrong section, then I am very sorry.
Excellent for kids. I know a 5yr old that uses it like a pro...and it took maybe an hour to get totally acclimated to it.
Thank you. Any specific reasons? Any clue about case?

i got this one from amazon and it works quite well..doubles as a stand as well....can't find the 7" version, but it's basically this:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...r=8-1&keywords=samsung+galaxy+tab+2+case+pink
also get yourself a good screen protector... zaggshield has been on it since day one and it's great.
Thanks bud. I dont really like Zagg, but I can get some from work for cheap.
Try an app called kids place. Locks the device down to only apps you allow to be run and even works after a reboot and is pin protected.
If the child clicks an advert on a game or clicks to buy more coins on an app it stops that, although it stops the whole app and has to be started again
Sent from my Samsung Note II.
Thanks. that helps a lot. making me feel better about this already.
I'll have to play with it and go from there.
since I am rooting, I am going to install an ad blocker too.
I bought this tab for my daughter on her 3rd birthday she uses it fine. I got a military shield off amazon and a folding leather case off ebay, we have had no problems at all just a reboot from time to time to clear the memory

Awesome. Thanks for the good news guys.
It's perfect for kids! With its compact size, great price and massive app/games range, it's ideal for kids!
Ages 4 and 2, no I wouldn't do any normal tablet for them, Walmart has a cheap tablet IIRC it's called Nabi (see if you can find the first version) they have released a version 2 now with the tegra 3 quad-core and it has this big rubber "bumper" case that makes it way more "kid friendly" kids that age WILL destroy a tablet in no time if not watched closely so go with the one meant for them.

I could not find the original Nabi and also it sounded like a POS. Nabi 2 is more expensive and it is not like I did not find some half decent cases for the tab2. I just wanted to hear from others. Thanks for your input, but it is too late to stop me. I have already invested the 400 total on this. 100 per kid, just my budget

Man I want an otterbox for it but its 70 on Amazon. We have one for the S3 and ipod touch we have but my thunderbolt doesn't have one for the extended battery (which sucks) but oh well
why LG Nexus 4 LACK so many good nice cases,
Lets take for example iPhone 5 even before came out there was like premium leather otter box, etc... very nice sexy cases out there. On the other side, even after a month of launch date Considering volume of sales of LG Nexus 4 it is so strange that there is no nice premium cases yet, there is however silicone covers and plastic snap on cases, which I personally think destroy the nice look of LG Nexus 4.

Because most case makers think theres no market for it since the phone initially came out with no provider in mind and if its not a flagship of a provider usually theres no commercials or advertising about it. So most of the time the people will know about it are people like us, word of mouth or online advertising. They don't really know the demand for these and it would be their loss and the few companies who do pick up on them will get on in on it. Thats why you see those companies of asks for votes or requests so they can see the demand and how much money they will be making etc... (little did they know people were buying bumpers on ebay for $100)
I would wait a while though, if they do release the phone in more countries it will start picking up. Now with iPhone or the S3 there is a lot because of international audience.
Noreve released their case for the nexus today.
I've had a lot experience with them and they are of extremely good quality, especially the "Exception Selection".
http://www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/LG_Google_Nexus_4_Tradition_leather_case.html
I'm just not sure if I want a flip case.
Because they are dumb, basically. It seems this market is a reactionary one. They don't know the value of being the first to market or predicting success. They just make a case for the next iPhone and whatever android phone is being advertised like crazy. Then everything else afterwards.
If any of those guys had come out with a case first they would likely have gotten a good majority of the sales with barely any competition
It won't sell at the volume of any iPhone. And Google doesn't send out units before launch so case makers have to wait to get a phone then go through the whole process of designing, etc.

To be fair, and I'm not even being "genderist" but a large % of iPhone users are girls and they own a large amount of cases. They feel that it's necessary to have a case matching their outfits. iPhones just have a bigger market for accessories such as cases and it is one iconic phone whereas Android has phones coming out every other week.
Case makers are businesses and businesses' primary goal is to maximize their profits. They just don't feel that Nexus devices are as profitable as other phones such as iPhone, Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note.
Samsung's Galaxy is becoming a very powerful brand. I feel that if Google/LG had a more successful launch with Nexus 4 inventory, case manufacturers would of been more eager to make a case for the phone as phone sales are booming, sadly they're missing the holiday timeframe.
http://ansonalex.com/infographics/android-users-vs-iphone-users-the-demographics/ for proof. This was last years' so a lot of stuff has changed, surprised we haven't one of these for the year of 2012 as I feel that it is a lot different than how it was in 2011.
Case manufacturers make cases only for devices that sell exceptionally well. No matter how Apple map sucks and no matter how each and every Android fanboy think the iPhone 5 sucks, it was guaranteed a big seller even before it was available.
The Nexus 4, on the other hand, is not one such phone. First of all, it is highly unavailable. And even if Google was able to fulfill all the orders placed (and will be placed), still only a fraction of the iPhone number of Nexus 4 would be sold (remember, without huge ad campaign and carrier support).

Actually the companies jump on whatever stick will make them the most money (which is why there are a million iphone 5 and gs3 cases/docks/etc.) and I don't blame them. The nexus s sold <0.5 million units, the gnex roughly sold 4x that and the n4 is unlikely to match that (supply issues and only being sold through tmo.)
So why would companies make accessories for devices that are going to sell <2M units in their life when they can make accessories for devices that will sell 40M in a year?

To be fair, you are.
Because they do for lots of other devices that sell in the same range? It is simple forecasting and ROI.
The problem here is that Google is simply not that good at commerce. And it ripples through the accessories ecosystem.

There is one report that says women are more likely to buy an iphone, with no sample size or any other info given by the way, everything else you said (like women owning more cases) is anecdotal.
The female iphone owners I know typically have 1 case whereas all the male android owners I know have multiple cases, myself included, because we usually have a slim case and an armored case (otterbox) depending on what situation we will be in. Of course I would never state my anecdotal evidence as fact.

Depends on where you're from. I know people here have multiple cases and change them based on their outfits as I am from New York City. I personally only have one case, but it definitely helps companies decide whether or not they want to want make a case for that phone. Knowing that people who buy multiple iPhone cases to swap them out helps them in that case.
I'm not even saying Otterboxes or things like that. There are a numerous amount of cases orientated towards females, they buy it for the design.

You are so right with my fiance she has cases based on her outfit. I do have multiple cases but mine are for functionality for the situation I'm in. I would never buy a iPhone though but my fiance did she had a iPhone 3 then a iPhone 4s and now she is using my Galaxy Skyrocket she loves android now that I converted her. She was always asking why I can mod my phone so much and she cant. So I let her use my Skyrocket and she wont give it back. But she is in love with my "sparkly" phone Lol but little does she know she has one under the tree already rooted and unlocked boot loader.

I've recently read articles on how businesses would hire ordinary folks to post positive comments on different popular comment boards and forums. It feels like this forum has been targeted by negative postings to try to sway potential buyers from purchasing a Note3.
I'm just saying.

I spent a good amount of time with the Note 3 at an AT&T store today and I was blown away by it. It meets all of my expectations and needs handily. (I'm hoping the t-mobile network will satisfy as well )
-I like the plastic back. It's textured and has great feel.
-I love how thin it is (even with a SpiGen Bounce case I'm expecting it to be pretty svelt) - the Note 2 felt a bit chunky to me (thick).
-The screen size is perfect - I won't miss my Nexus 7 (and I love my N7)
-The screen is gorgeous. Colors are vivid and the display is clear.
-The massive array of settings, configuration options, and functions make me more than happy to "deal with" Touchwiz. I haven't liked Touchwiz since the Gingerbread days... The Note 3 looks to change that.
-Performance was beyond expectations. Super fluid and without lag. The experience was seamless and performance is blistering.
-There is no other device that competes with the Note 3 - The SPen and its functionality set the Note 3 apart from the pack. This is the only phone I would purchase at this point in time (for my needs).
-It's drop-dead sexy in white. Black has been done to death - mix it up!
I can't wait for mine to come in
I have the s4 and cant wait to play wit the N3 in a few days... ive been reading the the pros and cons threads and some of the ppl just complain about everything... I love TW just not all the bloatware that att puts on it but thats why we root it to change it all up to our liking...anyways thanks for the postive thread it will make my decision a lil easier
Thanks

I just responded in a "Note3 Disappointment" thread on how these lengthy negative "opinions" feels almost strategic in a way.

Yeah, no kidding, the word premium is repeated over and over when referring to other devices and plastic when referring to the note 3, most of the other gripes are from people that didn't do any research, the back was never advertised as leather, I don't. Know what people were expecting, the sound quality of the speaker.? Seriously? They would have been griping about the bezel size if they put forward facing speakers.
Who would honestly think the back would be made from leather?? Dear me...
I've come from an HTC one (and galaxy nexus, moto razr i, S2 and Tab 7.7) and I'm really liking the Note 3.
Size wise, it''s hard to explain but it's small enough to still be a phone but the screen is large enough (and pixel dense enough) to use as a bridge device. I wanted something that could replace using a PC/laptop for most things (I will always use a PC/laptop for work though) and this seems to be doing it for me.
Speed wise, it's as fast and as smooth as anything I have ever used. I'm not a touchwiz fan so I am using nova launcher but I will admit that touchwiz is very smooth and quick, I just don't like the grid size and icons. The home screen is smooth, apps open pretty much instantly and it seems happy to play any type of media format you throw at it.
I am an AMOLED whore so I love the screen, it's all about the true black for me. I really liked the HTC one screen so it's nice to have an AMOLED screen with a similar sharpness to that of the HTC. Icons and text look nice and smooth and images/video look incredible.
The pen has proven to be quite useful as I like to write down what parts/stuff that I need for work as I am working through things and I am less likely to misplace my note 3 than I am a post-it note.
I am happy with the battery cover as well. I am on my second device as the first had some dust or something in the screen and my replacement has a battery cover that is much softer feel than the first. Does it feel like leather? I think so, or does leather feel like soft touch plastic?
All in all, this is the best mobile device I have ever used and will probably result in the Tab 7.7 being retired.
The Note 3 is many things and will probably appeal to many people. For me a Smartphone is primarily a business productivity tool. This incarnation of the Note is better than all others. The S Pen is more precise for note taking, Action Memo is a great addition. The multi screen is now better because of the higher resolution and new copy and paste controls. The music playback on headphones is very good and probably better than the HTC One. Finally the large screen and speed make the device a joy to use. I don't mind the plastic body as I'll be using it mainly in the S View case, which itself adds to the usability of the Note 3.

What Color?
Hi, all. This week will be my first ever Samsung phone. I'm jumping ship from my HTC One S for something bigger. Don't get me wrong I have been extremely happy with my HTC phone. Camera has been it's best feature. My question is should I get the white or black Note 3? It appears with the amazing screen the black accentuates the screen better. Is that true? Thoughts?
Had started that the other day due to the typical trolling and I didn't want anyone to be pit off this awesome phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462220

I love the sound from the wolfson audio chip. My IEMs have a new breath of life. Definitely the most underated feature of Note 3. For audiophiles, the Note 3 will not dissapoint!

That's because people are so used to fake leather now they don't bother saying it's fake/faux or pleather anymore. It bugs me enough that when I see a review or product recommendation saying leather I almost always take the time to look at the product description long enough to confirm that it isn't REAL leather.
I actually think the hard plastic leather-look material makes a device look tacky/cheap compared to the normal shiny plastic Samsung normally uses. I sorta prefer the grippy soft plastic on the back of my Nexus 10.
It's all fashion & marketing. Sometimes aluminum is in style, or glass, or leather, or plastic. Whatever we haven't been seeing a lot of lately, or whatever is used on the latest hot selling item.

I really like this phone visually & so pleased it has a raised edge for the screen protector. I always fit them.
I had the "serviceindex" issue which made it hard to use for the 1st 2 days.
The corrupt file causing it was a .pdf on my SD making my N3 really play up & freeze every 45 seconds while using the handset & thats certainly not "user caused" as it's a file that opened & worked perfectly safely on my N1 & N2.
Anyway after hours spent identifying the problem file & removing it I could enjoy all the amazing features of this superb phone.
I highly recommend it & think the Note 2 had a cheap look compared to these.

Yeah you're probably right but still, it would be nice for people to show the good side of the note 3 for others considering it

Try using Helium instead, I've never tried Titanium Backup though
Maybe it will be faster for you in the future

Its everything I wanted. The looks of the Note 1 and so smooth, so powerful, and a shining example of how good Android is. Phone of the year and I hope to have it for many years, like the HD2 and the Note 1 (until it got stolen last week, which was bittersweet for obvious reasons )

Agree its more like a style progression from note 1 & I am pleased they did it. Note2 was a cool looking phone but Note 3 has Class!

This is seriously the best phone I ever had. The note 1 and 2 were already good, but the note 3 excels for me.
Beautiful full hd screen, very useful extra functions for the s-pen, the ir-blaster, the 13mp cam, the stylish looks and feels (indeed a little bit more note 1 style), the speed, men what a phone! And because it's so fully featured out of the box I think I could live with NOT rooting the device to get the functionality line up with my requirements.
