[Q] how to recover a bricked lg optimus p500 which is 'not' detecting by pc

mine is an rooted lg optimus p500 with stock gingerbread 2.3.3 ,firmware v20c for india.last day i installed rom manager trail,when i tried to back up current rom,the phone gone off,now it is strucked at lg logo.i tried kdz for installing another stock rom.but it says phone is not connected. i checked through adb,when typing command 'adb shell' it also says no devices found.hard reseting is not working,no emergency mode. what to do??? pls help me.

Did u flash recovery first before hitting backup current rom? If you are getting LG logo then u should get emergency mode. Press volume up button+return key + connect the usb cable connected to your PC all at the same time. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883314 Read this. it will help u.

reinstall drivers.
let your phone be on (stuck at lg logo), connect to computer, flash custom recovery from lgmdp.
There might errors occur at nv backup or nv restore but it will flash recovery.

hi everyone,
i tried to update the firmware on my op1 p500.it came to emergency mode,but after this some error occured and kdz updater showed 'c drive erased'
and now my phone is not even starting.
it is in warranty,but i dnt knw wat reason i can tell at the service center,that wat happened to the phone.
Plz help.

If the phone can't boot, then it's alright. Easy. Something like "I switched it off before I went to sleep and the next morning I couldn't turn it on" should do the trick

Just say when you are updating firmware it had an error and your phone would not start up.

I've got a similar problem;
Rom manager crashed my phone (lg p500) when i was trying to back-up the original rom. The Phone booted in <b> fastboot mode </b>, i've followed the guide your guide to recover, but the phone crashed and even the fastboot mode disappeared. I've tried to reflash, but nothing happened even shaking the pc, then i've disconnected the phone and unplugged the battery pack. From that moment my phone is officially 'dead' no key combination seems to work, no usb connection, no signal.
Now what are your suggestions?

Stuck at fastboot mode Started udc start()
I was using
ROM : LG Icy Snap (4.0.4)
and wanted to update to 4.4.4 . Started the process normally .(i had previously tried the 4.4 kitkat by mukulsoni. which used the CWM 6..0.4 something like that)So updated my recovery .The recovery was fine but the volume buttons were not working so pressed the power button and i got a message saying that i would loose root access. i pulled out the battery and when i started it with the combo(Power+vol UP+ Home) i got the fastboot msg. i bricked my phone previously similarly but came out of it as my pc detected my mobile. Now it is not and when i try to launch that command to says waiting for device. Dunno what to do . I know LG P500 is a bit old but it is the only mobile i have :crying: .

LG P700 Emergency Mode?

I have a LG p700 L7.
I wanted to do an update, and I do not know why but the phone is stuck on "emergency mode".
As soon as you start the phone, the screen yellow "emergency mode" appears.
And as it is impossible to install drrver "LG Mobile USB Modem", the phone is not recognized by any software.
Manipulation for Hard Reset I tried, does not work.
Can you help me please?
I did not find anything about it on XDA.

OK,we really can't help you until you tell us what exactly you did.You sound like you were thinking about an update and you found your phone in emergency mode.

I wanted to update because my phone said me that an update was available. So I connected the phone to the computer, the software LG began updating. Once completed, the software shown me that everything was OK and that the update was completed successfully.
Unfortunately my phone it was stuck on this background yellow with "Emergency Mode!"
That's what happened

Was this when the phone was still connected to the computer or after you disconnected it?

Ok, nobody will help me...
So, i have a problem to install this driver : "LG Mobile USB Modem". That's why my PC don't recognize my LG Phone.
If i Can install this driver, i could install a new firmware. But I can't... Do you know why ??

I have the same problem. At the time of cwm installing, my phone rebooted on emergency mode yellow screen and cant open anymore. I use vol+ + power and the computer recognize my phone. I diasbled LGE modem and try to install v10A, V10C, v10g and v10h firmware every time it cant finish correctly and say

You can try disabling this screen pressing Power button, Low Volume/High Volume (I don´t remember, but I think it´s Low button) and the Home screen button at the same time. If the screens get´s black, but after release it backs to the yellow screen, you guys will need to flash the phone again. Download the lastest firmwares for P700/P705 here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=13
Make sure your phones aren´t F or G variants, because my phone is internacional and I´m brazillian, so, when I try to flash a brazillian ROM, the phone simply get stuck on LG logo. Use KDZ to flash this, If the error persists, use another KDZ file, with another firmware, or another country.

I saw that you setted the type to CDMA, and that´s wrong. Try to flash on 3GQCT option.

Junior...também sou brasileira e meu lg também é importado. No caso, quando for baixar a firmware, eu baixo mesmo assim a do Brasil e depois uso o KDZ pra tirar do logo da LG é? Por favor...preciso de ajuda.

You cant flash a p705f firmware on a p700/p705 cell Phone. Brazil does have a diferent model for optimus L7 (p705f). My LG is imported too, so I cant flash a brazillian firmware because it doesnt works on another l7 models, i dont know why. But you can flash a P700 firmware on a p705, and vice versa.

Stuck on the emergencymode yellow screen

My phone is stuck in the emergency mode with the yellow screen.
Ill take you through what happened,
I wanted to update to 2.3.3, so i downloaded kdz updater and followed the tutorial on how to do so, I downloaded the ROM that i was told to download and I initiated XDA updater with the right type (3gqct) and phone mode (diag)--- right off the bat i got an error message on the program and the phone went to the emergency mode screen. I retried a good 5-7 times...nothing.
I looked around and people said to flash back to original ROM (2.2.2) and i tried that with the right stuff selected(3gqct) and emergency instead of the "diag"...but nothing.
I looked around and i have yet to find anything that can help, I cant hard reset it or any type of reset. the kdz program isnt working with any combo of steps...
I'm lost please help! I just got this phone yesterday and thought i would be doing some good updating it. But now im back to my blackberry.

First, it‘s called KDZ Updater and not XDA Updater

Uninstall all drivers, reboot, reinstall them, reboot, deactivate LG USB Moden in Device manager (Systempanel)
Now try again. If it won‘t work either, reboot your phone and take out battery, unplug and plug in it again and repeat until it works
Btw, welcome to XDA
Edit: Now you have the log. It seems like it can not recognise your phone. Don‘t use USB HUB or something else.

but i did what you said and still, no results. I still have the yellow screen with emergency mode typed on it. Its not in a hub, connected directly to my laptop. and i forgot to out in the post that the only way for the pc to recognize the phone is to pull and keep the battery out of the phone while i am attempting to do stuff.
any other ideas... please iwould like to get this thing working with either ROM

LG p700 L7 stuck in emergency mode brick ?

I have the same problem. At the time of cwm installing, my phone rebooted on emergency mode yellow screen and cant open anymore. I use vol+ + power and the computer recognize my phone. I diasbled LGE modem and try to install v10A, V10C, v10g and v10h firmware every time it cant finish correctly and say

but it cant find my LG p700
I connect my phone with vol+ and power buttun clicking and install usb drivers after that I disable lg modem and open update tool and costumer support recıver my phone, enter imei say ok , go to update program after waiting it says " pdater not possible due to fatal error, while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update"
I used a lot of buttun combinations to go cwm but it always stuck in yellow screen emergency mode. I need your helps however I will be carzy, I have a big headache

1. Reinstall drivers
2. Use uptestex_mod2_marwin.exe (no 2nd one)
