I am trying to update my LGP-920 to the latest software that apparently came out for the P920 this week (30A).
The update tool first tells me there is an update available, but when I press ‘update software’, it analyses the phone and then it says ‘software update not supported for this model’ or 'You are already up to date' or 'some error with 'msxml.msi' or some toher of the plethora of the responses it comes up with!
It is on 20G at the moment. I also tried the KDZ file update for Euro-Open (I am in the UK, but the phone was not bought through a service provider). I have updated a number of times in the past, all in the same environment (Win7 64bit) – Am I missing something?
Instead of updating the phone use the "recover phone" option. it is in one of the menu headings in the softwareupdate tool. Open the LG softwareupdate tool, remove sd card and sim card, connect usb with phone switched off. and then select the recover phone option in the menu.

Try to delete all LG related drivers, restart computer and reinstall them.
If that doesn't work, try in a different computer.
Thanks for your input guys, i will give an update later on as i see there are a couple of other threads where folk are having trouble upgrading. Suprise, suprise, LG support were absolutely no use! (either that or it was the night time cleaner that replied!)

/edit - After searching around, it looks like allthough I am in Europe (UK), there will possibly be a specific GBR version coming out, hopefully soon.

i downloaded the LGMobile Support Tool to update my phone, and i went through the connecting process, the driver scanned my phonoe, but then after it says:
"The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update."

Is your phone a recent replacement? If it shows up in the LG updater as a P999DWP rather than the original build, P999DW, it won't update. Just curious, if it is a DWP, what does your SN start with (under your battery)? Mine is 106KPQJ
mine was a replacement so do you think we will have to wait until ota update for ours to work?
I have an un-branded Samsung Omnia 7 (Deutsche Telekom I believe). I did the force update for mango and was able to update to 7403 just fine. However, at the last step 2 of 2 of updating to 7720 it gave me the error code 80180048. I do not have a walshed phone because I tried using the walshed fix and the program said my phone wasn't walshed. Any one having this issue or have fix for this? Thanks.
All Languages
I was having a problem with failled Mango update and I discovered I used the Walsh tool wrong. I only selected the language that was "checked" in my keyboard settings and not ALL languages that were available on my phone. Once I selected all languages, the update went flawlessly.

Did you also install the Windows Phone Support Tool? It may be needed for the Walsh Tool.
I have samsung focus (from Rogers Canada) and am facing exactly the same problem, I have reset my phone a couple of times but still receiving the same error, am not sure what to do now, can someone suggest following steps? I don't have walshed phone and walsh tool gave me missing clsid exception.

Samsung Focus has two hardware revisions.
You will not be able to get passed the last steps to update to Mango if you have rev. 1.4
rev 1.3(Micron): Windows 7.5 update will be available through Zune on 9/27.
rev 1.4(LSI) : Update has not entered the AT&T SPE lab yet; however, Samsung is targeting for 10/17 lab entry and 10/31 TA"
you can check which revision you have by pulling out the battery. there should be a revision number on on a white sticker on the device.
I have checked the focus revision number on my phone and it is 1.3, I found that one may use windows phone support tool to solve the issue, but it always gave me the 'the device not in connect to pc mode' error while I am pretty sure the device is infact that mode, so somehow it doesn't see that. I am still confused what to do now?

sounds like a USB driver issue.
open Device Manager
open Zune
plug in the phone into the USB
In the device manager you should see Windows Phone USB Device at the very bottom come in.
Double click and double click Windows Phone USB. Got to Driver tab and make sure it reads Deiver Version 4.8.2345.0
if you have something older, uninstall the driver, unplug the phone, then plug it back in and hopefully it will pick up the new one.

Forced update managed to get me through to 7403 and then on step 2 of 2 I get error 80180048. Tried at least 6 or 7 times and always get the same result.
My phone is also an Omnia 7 (bought it unlocked but has the Orange UK logo and apps preloaded).
It's not Walshed (I didn't even have an idea what that even meant until a couple hours ago but still tried that tool, just in case - it says "Good news, your phone isn't Walshed!") and the Windows Phone Support Tool says the phone's not in a "Connect to PC state", even though it is.
To sum up: nothing works.

odd, the latest drivers are 4.8.2345.0 and these were installed a week before Mango was released to prepare the phones for Mango. Not sure why it would give you an older USB driver....
I updated the USB driver but the problem stays the same, not sure what else could be done

I'm been have the same problem with a samsung focus v1.3, i've tried everthing i could find, but nothing worked. I hope someone has an answer to what causing this.
I've reflashed the phone with both the rogers and at&t roms(many times) but can only get to 7403.
Also i have tried 4 different computers, one was ever XP.
i am getting the same update error with my Branded HTC HD7
Same error Omnia 7.

Edit: Fixed mine by reverting back to 7392 and fixing a couple of registry values for language packs. I wanted to remove the ones I didn't need. That created the conflict. Now I'm on Mango!

how did u revert back to 7392 update and which registry settings did you tweaked? would u mind sharing it with us? i have done hard reset on my phone but the os version is still 7.0.7043 and since i reset, there is no backup in zune to revert
well i uninstalled and reinstalled ZUNE then flashed the 7004 Schubert rom
plugged in the HD7 went through the update procedure from 7004 to nodo it automatically updated to 7403 but it errored out on the final mango update

Not to be insulting, but did you try the Walsh Tool and select ALL languages that are on your phone. Most people who have gotten to the end of the MANGO update and failed with this error code fixed this with the Walsh Tool. Please don't dismiss it out of hand, it has solved this error code issue with a lot of people.

i am not insuted and yes i did use the Walsh tool with the program saying my HD7 was not in a walshed state

Just to add to this, my brother inlaws focus, which i flashed with the rogers rom(It was a gift), installed the mango update yesterday morning. His phone is identical to mine.

i had to use another telstra ROM for the HD7

Hey guys, hope all is well..
I've made a complete 'pickle' out of my HTC Trophy (Vodafone NZ - Unbranded)..
I was happily using Ansar's europe Mango rom found from these forums for a couple of weeks only to notice that a few key features were not working, Local Scout would not identify anything in my country and Bing song recognition was not visible =/..
I had been given word that the official NZ rom had finally been released through Zune so I (Foolishly) thought it was as simple as flashing with the Vodafone NZ NoDo rom (Also found here by Ansar) and attempting to update the firmware through Zune as usual.. Boy was I wrong..
After the flash had been done, I noticed through Zune that the actual image of the device shown was not my Trophy.. It said 'HTC Trophy'.. But the image wasn't.. I chose to ignore that and attempt to update the firmware, it happily updated right up to 7403, but the following update from this (I assumed Mango) bounced back with the error 80180048..
I've looked through every possible source of knowledge on the net which led nowhere (Even attempted the unwalshing tool but it advised me my device wasn't walshed).. So I'm pretty much stumped.
If anyone at all can help me, I will have your babies..

EDIT - If it means anything, The moment it goes to install the new firmware to the device that USB message pops up on my computer (Win 7) saying that the performance would be a lot better if I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port (Obviously it is..)
Also, on all the previous updates I get a status bar on the phone of how far through the update it is, when it is updating this last firmware I don't get this status bar, it just sits on the same image of the phone and pc with a crossed out arrow in the middle for about 10 minutes then reboots with the above error message
Hello! I have a Huawei Honor 4C V100R001C636B190. I bought this phone from the Philippines two years ago. I just realized how outdated my phone was now and so it lacked so many new features brought by newer Android versions. So I consulted the EMUI updater but it did not show any updates. Feeling desperate, I searched online for any updates for my phone. I did know that 4C can upgrade to Marshmallow at maximum but I need to upgrade to Lollipop first. So I found a website called CarbonTesla which had Over-the-Air firmware for this specific device. So I chose my region, Asia Pacific, and downloaded the firmware. The firmware for that region was Lollipop, and it said it was compatible with C636 branding, so I thought I was okay. I extracted the .zip file downloaded and copied the dload folder to the top directory of my SD card. After that I did the local update option from the updater and it went to recovery mode. When it booted up, after an instant, it said,
"Version Check fail! Software Install Failed!"
It gave me the option to shutdown the system. So I rebooted the system and got confused why it just said that. I searched it online but none emerged. I tried downloading other ROMs but all showed the same error.
I tried the download mode by pressing all three buttons at once and plugged my phone to a USB cable. The process worked but it got stuck so close to the end and it did not finish installing ever since. So I rebooted and almost lost hope. I checked the word documents that came with the file and saw the supported devices. Apparently, B190 did not come with the supported ones. I searched online for any ROMs that support B190 but none just came out. Are there any other ROMs that are compatible with B190? Or is there a direct link to get it working? Please help me. Thank you so much. Upgrading my phone to the latest version it can get is very wonderful for me. ?

I went to setting and it show software version v450p10n although my friend also have a LG v50 v450pm like me but his phone show v450p20h and android 10. Can u guys show me the tip?? Lots of thank!!

Sprint(v450pm) phones don't usually have their kdz published. So you can't update or downgrade using that method. I also have the phone and I got OTa to 20h in December. Have you modified the phone in any way? Root, uninstalled system apps, etc? You can try clearing data of "FOTA update", all 3 "software update" and "update center" , restart the phone and try searching for new software again. If it dose not work, you may have to try a factory reset of the phone.

I got the exact same model as yours,but sim unlocked,open box never used,about 10 days ago.
Because i use it in Europe,i was really worried if it was going to get any further updates beyond android 9 with which it came from the seller i bought it.
After a lot of searching here and there before buying it,most people,and the seller included,where assuring me that it would get android 10 and every OTA updates in future,because Sprint roms are not completely locked like AT&T for example.
Everyone said that i would get the updates as it should,but i could not flash any rom because Sprint never publish it's roms.
Someone suggested me not to install my carrier's sim card when i power on tge phone,and let it just connect via wifi,saying that this way is more safe to get updates.
The reason why should i do that,he explained me,is because sometimes our carriers implement their set up or something like this,in our device,through the carriers settings app,and with that way we couldn't get updates.
Long story short,when i got the phone,i just powered it on,without inserting my sim card,and right after the set up,i got the first update notification,which was upgrade to android 10.
After this first update,i continiously took 3 more updates,one after the other in an hour,with my final update to be v20h December 2020.
So my opinion is if you don't mind,try and factory reset your phone,backing up first,in case something goes wrong,and set it up again from scratch,without your sim card..just give it it's time to connect to LG servers.

I wanted a custom rom until none of them supports the quad dac, even if i get a next device I'll still keep the v50 as a dedicated music device with a 512 SD card. I'm on sprit version and it updated to v450p20j yesterday, fingers crossed for 11 but LGs history for updates is a gamble.

LG is closing their mobile business in few years. better to choose a different brand
