Shouldn't be a new rule. You only have 6 posts. 10 posts are required in order to post in development threads.

Shouldnt say new I guess. I havent messed on here much since i installed jellybelly on my phone so id say it was prob a little over a year ago. Remembering joining than though just to ask something having to do with the whole unlocking, etc of the gnex. (Didnt know much of anything about android at that point as far as customizing)
Im not sure this is a good way to seperate the bs from beneficial interjection. I found issues with my rom and a revision is coming out very shortly. I havent been able to up channel my concerns because I'm forced to comment on nonsense in order to earn the right to contribute.

I personally have had issues with Samsung, Motorola, LG and HTC devices.
I know they're all rushing to push out the next big thing, but I hate having to wonder every time I buy a new phone, what's going to be wrong with this one?
Anyone got any advice on which manufacturers are the best or worst?
Thanks.

Thanks, that looks interesting.
I remember in the past I was intentionally avoiding Sony. I'd seen some stats regarding the speed at which different manufacturers updated their Android handsets, and Sony was at the bottom.
I'll have a look and see what kind of support there is for Sony devices (accessories, rooting, roms etc.)
I thought about this today.
personally I am an IT worker so I normally get a lot of friends \ family asking me to fix stuff for them.
With Android however & this forum - its taken it to a new high.
Because of this great place I have learnt a ton and also helped out a lot of people with phones and tabs.
SGS i9000, GT-P1000, SGS 2, Droid Razr, Motorola Xooms, SGS3, Acer tabs... just to name a few.
In fact these days when I am asked about phones, I don't recommend them unless this forum and its members are behind it.
I found it also helps to make devices easier to use, case in point my father can work a droid phone or tab no prob's, but he'd throw an ipad\phone before working it out.
So on behalf of all those I have helped and have no idea about it all and from myself.
THANK YOU XDA, Develpoers & Members!!!!!

I've really been racking my brain lately on what to do. Because of the recent changes in Verizon's policy that basically take away upgrades as they make you wait the length of your contract before they allow you to "upgrade" your phone.... Anyway I digress...
I currently have a HTC Dna that I recently picked up for an excellent deal coming from a decidedly "too large" galaxy note 2. I've never really looked twice at HTC, but this phone is great. I've been debating weather to wait months to see if Verizon gets their version of the "one", or switch to AT&T and pick up one tomorrow.... Which brings me to my next question.... Do you believe the HTC One is worth upgrading to considering my current ownership of the DNA? A little third party input I believe would be beneficial.
Any thoughts, comments, concerns, or whatever. I hardly ever post to these things. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks

I couldn't change the title. So this is what I had to do. Thanks for the smart ass smiley face. I'm not an idiot.

You *can* change titles. Just edit and go into advanced mode. That's moot anyway since I've closed the other thread. Please do not duplicate threads in future.

Thanks for the cheap shot. I guess we can't all be as cool as you, nitpicking around in a forum looking for mistakes. Boy if I were you, I'd feel pretty high and mighty after all this. Prick

Hi,
I tried the search button but wasn't able to find anything similiar to my problem, and google isn't of any help aswell, so I'm trying to ask around and a friend of mine gave me the link of your forum, saying you've got a great knowledge about.
I'm an (unhappy) owner of the Samsung Wave Y, which since the bada 2.0 OS doesn't offer much for communication indeed.
Since Skype, whatsapp aren't working, and also the FB app has lot of troubles, me and my bf adapted to ChatOn.
He owns a Galaxy SIII and since we're both Samsung users, we expected a smooth process, or at least we assumed...
After the activation of ChatOn mobile with the sms I was able to search my contact list for persons who did the same (this months ago)...
I found and added a friend, while the app said my bf wasn't a ChatOn user... My bf on only has me as ChatOn user and he could add me with no problems at all...
So I just added him manually by typing his phone number, but even like this we weren't able to chat: he received only some of my message while I didn't receive any answer from him... We were both syncronized and we both own the last version of the app, but I'm Bada 2.0 while he is android...
I read of somebody having similiar troubles in some 2011 threads, while seeking for a solution, I also read that with the official release of the Bada version of ChatOn this bug would've been corrected.. This official version has been released around january 2013 (and I remember the update, but I had already subscribed and added my friend) but I'm still stuck... Actually I think it was working better before...
Sorry for the long question and for my bad english,
Could you please help me out to make this work?
Thanks in advance,
Regards

Meanwhile, try using it with another Bada user and another android user, to see if the issue lies with the app or the platform.

I need to ask around, hoping to know somebody good for my case...
But I don't think just anybody experiences this, because I didn't find many topics around on the web about this issue, I even read of someone who had them in past and after the last update the problems were gone.. It seems like the opposite happened to me...
I'll let you know..
I've just received an answer from the customer support, they said to be aware of this problem and that they're already working on it..
They didn't suggest any solution, so either chaton will be working on his own randomly, or I have to wait till the new update (which will contain the fix hopefully). hoping will be released as soon as possible...
Seems like I'm again abandoned to my fate.. XD
Thanks for the support anyway..
