I've really been racking my brain lately on what to do. Because of the recent changes in Verizon's policy that basically take away upgrades as they make you wait the length of your contract before they allow you to "upgrade" your phone.... Anyway I digress...
I currently have a HTC Dna that I recently picked up for an excellent deal coming from a decidedly "too large" galaxy note 2. I've never really looked twice at HTC, but this phone is great. I've been debating weather to wait months to see if Verizon gets their version of the "one", or switch to AT&T and pick up one tomorrow.... Which brings me to my next question.... Do you believe the HTC One is worth upgrading to considering my current ownership of the DNA? A little third party input I believe would be beneficial.
Any thoughts, comments, concerns, or whatever. I hardly ever post to these things. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks

I have been looking at this phone off and on,
This will be my first Smartphone... yeah really, I’ve manage with my tablet and a dumb phone, but since I wont be traveling as much as I used to walking around with the g-slate it’s getting on my nerves.
I’ve been up for an upgrade forever...
As of today...would you get the same phone or would you wait for the Galaxy S II, considering that this will be a first experience using the phone with the tablet for basic browsing and emailing. And of course getting to play with Android. What are your thoughts...Opinions
i love this phone, but if you have a chance to get the sgsII, get it.
I second what he said. If you've already waited this long then wait, wait, wait some more. Galaxy S II is a beast.

Shouldn't be a new rule. You only have 6 posts. 10 posts are required in order to post in development threads.

Shouldnt say new I guess. I havent messed on here much since i installed jellybelly on my phone so id say it was prob a little over a year ago. Remembering joining than though just to ask something having to do with the whole unlocking, etc of the gnex. (Didnt know much of anything about android at that point as far as customizing)
Im not sure this is a good way to seperate the bs from beneficial interjection. I found issues with my rom and a revision is coming out very shortly. I havent been able to up channel my concerns because I'm forced to comment on nonsense in order to earn the right to contribute.

I couldn't change the title. So this is what I had to do. Thanks for the smart ass smiley face. I'm not an idiot.

You *can* change titles. Just edit and go into advanced mode. That's moot anyway since I've closed the other thread. Please do not duplicate threads in future.

Thanks for the cheap shot. I guess we can't all be as cool as you, nitpicking around in a forum looking for mistakes. Boy if I were you, I'd feel pretty high and mighty after all this. Prick

currently on an aging GNEX toro, been watching the upcoming androids, looking to move on to a more current phone. can anybody advise me? i abhor VZ bloatware, and i like customizing. have enjoyed crackflashing my GNEX since i got it.
S4: great specs, hate the iphone clone button, and it's locked up tight, with no ETA on bootloader unlock for the ME7 update. dev edition looks unlockable, but has bafflingly useless tiny memory. (seriously? 16g not counting how much the OS takes?)
HTC one: killer phone, no removable battery (wtf?) no SD card (seriously?)
MOTO X: looks like the closest to a GNEX i'm gonna get, but the specs pale compared to the high end phones.
Nexus 5? the nexus 4 accidentally never got LTE, and hence never came to VZ. dammit. can't find a release date (aside from ?2013?) or specs anywhere.
LG G2: looks great, good specs, all the usual features, but weird rear buttons. i think i'm favoring this one right now.
your advice, please.

Hey guys, First I am going to apologize if this is in the wrong place, It's been a while since I was on XDA But I thought this was the most appropriate place to post a topic like this.
Anyway, I am due for an upgrade and well lets just say the options that my carrier are providing me are not great and after some researching, I came to the conclusion that changing networks and getting a sim only contract and buying a phone separately would be the cheapest option. I have found the perfect tariff but even after weeks of research, I am still stumped on which phone to buy, so, I have turned to the XDA community to ask What is the best android smartphone that I can buy for around £350 (that's about $580) or under?
There are a few conditions that I want the phone to meet: it must be 4G LTE capable and have a decent camera and a good battery life.
that's it! Thanks in advance to all who post! =)
