Hi looking to see if anyone might be able to answer a couple questions I have . But, first if these questions have already been addressed somewhere forgive me. I tried to find some info on it and to be blunt. The info I did find confused me. Here is what I am trying to figure out. I have the sph d710 BST. Just to let you know where this is going.....What I did was I flashed my phone with the complete wipe JB upgrade file from rwilco12. .Everything was working fine . Voice, SMS....Except for data. I could see the bars on phone and it showed a 3g connection. But no matter what I tried including calling Boost Tech. I could not get any data. They wanted me to factory reset. Nope....I know better. So, anyway now I see where the official upgrade is available from Samsung. But one of the prerequisite is to be on Fl 24?? .. When I was on ICS. I was on the Boost FI22. So my question is ...Isn't Fl24 a sprint kernel? I did find one that said it was ported to boost. What should I do? Go back to stock and flash this kernel? Also if anyone has had any experience using the Samsung windows upgrade tool for JB.. would you share what you did and how it worked? Thanks and sorry for the long story.

So my friend (lives in Canada) has an Optimus One one a plan with Koodo. I walked her through installing CyanogenMod 7.1 or whatever the latest was. You know, unlock bootloader, root phone, and get Clockwork Mod to do all the hard work. I... may have skipped over the backing up part. See, I thought you know, her phone got wiped on bootloader anyway, so why backup? Yeah, idiot
So now she can't make calls, send text messages or anything. So I can only assume it's a baseband issue. But, that's where I'm stuck. After reading, some people suggest mik's mod, or something, others give a download to a backup for an Indian ROM. One flow chart suggested installing the baseband from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530 which looks useful. Except... which one do I use? And will it work on Canadian company Koodo? Will the Indian ROM work with Canadian Basebands?
Please, help would be so greatly appreciated

Hey man, so basically you were right, it's a baseband issue.
Flash version 20g/i/h whatever, I don't remember what letter but it doesn't matter.
Just follow the guide to the letter and it will work fine
Cheers mate!

You're on the right track, use the file attached to that post titled "P500-v20G-baseband.7z" (use 7-Zip/WinRAR/etc to extract).
Make sure you follow the instructions EXACTLY. Do NOT unplug your phone until it tells you it's completely done, and don't delete the backup it makes! I got lucky the first time I flashed, I thought it had lost communication and had unplugged my phone, but luckily it hadn't started the wipe yet and I was able to recover it.
Don't worry, you're doing the right thing. Remember to follow every single step (double check twice), and DO NOT UNPLUG THE USB, until it tells you to, as they have said above. Also to add, I have a Canadian Koodo O1, and I'm 200% that you won't have any problems whatsoever installing anything on this forum, whether it's an Indian based ROM, Chinese based, etc. Have fun modding!
I'm hoping someone can help me out...... This is driving me nuts trying to write PRL to my EVO 4g LTE. I'm on CM10.1 with the kt747 kernel. I have tried the sprint diag. Way and it worked twice but ended up reverting back after a few hours. I also tried the method of dialing ##diag# and setting up that route without much luck. I'm not super technical but I know enough to get me by. Please please please if there is any magic way to write prls on the evo lte please help, my area has horrible 3g. Maybe this can help some others too.
anyone?
I even tried to find a sense based rom to do it and no luck.... Anyone help?
Update
spent waaaaaay too much time trying to make this work and I just wanted to throw out what worked for me incase it works for anyone else stuck. I installe D.F.S. and found the drivers for my phone to be found by windows 7, I did a full backup, ran superwipe, flashed the ur/evo rom, flashed my boot.img, ran ur/evo rom, dialed ##DIAG# and my computer finally found the phone!!! All i had to do at that point was put my msl number in the spd and hit send and i was able to mod the prl through the dfs program!!! Sorry I dont want to sound like a noob but Aosp PRL is something that was really tough for me to figure out.
I tried rooting my Sprint Galaxy SIII and things went wrong so I decided I wanted to completely restart. I wanted the phone to be exactly as it was when I bought it. So after watching all these different tutorials, I've run into a wall. I thought I did it right by install a "factory rom" from some site. Well now my Sprint phone is running on 4.0.1 and is asking for a SIM card. So now I'm here. I just want it to be back to the newest version on the REAL factory default rom. I want everything gone just like it was on day one. Could someone help me with this? Thanks in advanced.

Hello Guys!
This weekend i had the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 of a friend cause he wanted me to try to simunlock his device.
In order to do that i had to flash a other modem version and since I had i there aldready, i flashed some custom roms to satisfy myself (I myself have a company (I)Phone and since then i hadn't used an android phone).
And here's the problem... the wifi didn't work (when i tried to activate it, it just said: activating wifi, please wait...). when I wanted to play a song it said: EQ could not be found. please close other music players(non installed) or restart phone (didn´t help). And when I wanted to switch from photos to videos in the camera app, it just threw out an error message (can't remember what it said). Maybe there were more errors but this are the ones I found in the short testing time.
Yesterday evening I somehow managed to fix it (still don't know how or why). But now I am curious about what happened.
Factory resets and stock rom didn't help. I restored the phone to stock as much as possible, but I think that this wasn't the solution.
Anybody here encountered the same problem(s) and can tell me what the reason was? I searched the forums and google (maybe wrong?) and couldn't find the reason.
I hope someone can tell me =)
thanks
Edit: Sorry, didn't read all stickies =/ (about no questions in general)
Hmmmmmmm Download orginal stock from sammobile an flash it but dont start the phone. Go to recovery and make a superwipe. try.

The problem might be related to modem.
It is reponsible for the wifi and you mobile network.
And when u flashed some else it breaked that function. ..
And after flashing the Stock one Your might have fixed the problem.
This is how I interpreted the problem.
Might be the Reason. ..

Hi, I just started using my friend's LG Aristo on MetroPCS. I just got an Android System Update pop up tonight that shows a 450.1 MB update available, but doesn't show the name of the update. The only thing it says about the update is, " This release includes updates that make your phone more secure and improves messaging.". Does anyone know what kind of update this is and if it will restrict any features? I'm using PDANet app for tethering. My friend had this phone for about two months, I don't know if he got this notification before to update it and he just didn't update it or if it's a brand new update. I got the Factory Reset Protection(FRP) lock sent to my old phone after I used PDANet to open the hotspot, that I thought was included in my plan, but I found out that it is not. So, I am very cautious about updates and anything else that Metro wants to send my way.

Nobody I know of has accepted the update. I was gonna do a clean start so I could try the update out, but free time has been hella scarce. Since it's a LG update for metro, we can automatically surmise it won't interfere with unlocking the bootloader or enabling root access. (They wouldn't pull something like that after the LG motion)
Tether is included in every plan that involves more than 2 gigs of high speed data. You get a hard limit for how much high speed data is used for tether though.

Do you have a computer at home?
i did the useual for me ..the "throw my brains in a blender and go for what i read was ultimately stupid"
and tried the update...and ended up in a TWRP bootloop....
went back n forth flashing Lineage TWRP and my stock bla TWRP somthing like 4 times...
finally when things decided to boot
after the last time flash i tried the lineage TWRP....i marveled at how fast it booted....
then booted TWRP to flash my huge boring stock backup...
and junks back to the old funk...just from 9/28 when i first was going to try Lineage...
should've used it as an excuse to try out the debloated rom....
can anyone tell me how to turn off Updater in terminal ....
moving files and renaming things always gets me running in these same exact circles..
is it safe to remove Updater???
sorry if i type like i think..i'm trying to be unique ...my logic is just really fuzzy
i only apologize because someone that was have a bad day decided it was the best thing to zero in on in an android forum and get bossy about it...sorry..i think too much ..most of it's useless...OK..i post this now
Yep i have a computer. Read about two different applications to flash the stock kdz. One called lg up an the other lg flash tool. The only thing is im not sure about is which app is best to use or does it matter?
Edit:
i did a search for "flash stock rom lg aristo" the top two guides lead me to the applications. Just saying where i found it in case anyone was wondering. *haven't tried yet

Either one does the job really. LG up is built for newer devices, so you'd be better off
Did anyone download the 450.1 MB update yet?

It's a security update and the kernel was clock locked to 1248mhz and lower. It shouldn't clock any higher than 1248.
