Does Google now work on your Device? I have scoured the Internet for answers and it all points to Google now working on butterfly. I can seem to make it work. I do not have the Google now option in the Google search settings. I can search just fine but the Google now feature is not there. Thanks!

I guess he is saying he don't have those Google cards.
You need to use "English - Singapore" in order to activate the Google now feature, after it is enabled, you can switch back to your preferred choice of language setting.

Sorry, I dont own an S3, I might soon though.
My friend said on CM10, the only way to get to Google now is through the search bar on the home screen, whereas on my Nexus, I have that option or I can press the home button and slide it up.
So for the Galaxy s3, someone should make it like S-Voice where you just double press the home button for Google Now to come up.
You can also add a Google Now shortcut on your home screen. That's what I did.

I understand that you can do that. But in my opinion, its too many steps to go through when you are already in an app to have to go to the home screen to do a search. There should be a hotkey.

at your home screen you can long press menu.
to set it as double press home, use the app from play store called "home2 shortcut"

I live in a sh*thole of a country and i dont want to see apps from local developers recommended to me on every page. How to turn that off in the new google play app?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium HD app
Seconded! (Though it was always there already, just significantly less.)
Out of all developers here, anyone?

Same problem. Living in a third world country makes Google Play suggest the worst apps you can imagine, just seeing the icons in my phone is a torture.

Only way to do it now is to use a VPN. This will fool the play store into thinking you are in another country.

Tried disabled location services.
Cleared data and cache in playstore.
Even after that it still find outs my location.
One more thing we can try is use wifi only & put the network radios in off state.

Is there a way to change the tablet's voice? I use the British Victoria voice from SVOX on my phone. Would like that here too but the option to change speech engine is missing.

It's under -settings-language and input. At the top is the area to select the preferred TTS engine

I forgot to add that it's under text-to-speech output(settings-language and input-text to speech output). The Svox engine is located there to select, I just double checked it to make sure.

Hey,
long story... Some years ago I made a Google-account via hidemyass.com to use the streaming-function of Google-music, because I live in Germany and the function wasn't available in an german account.
Now I use Google-play-music but it is not possible to activate "all access". No matter whether I try per PC or mobile device.
Anyone can help?
