Hi All,
I've been running the latest version of Viper for my HTC One X. I have to say, its quite a nice ROM. Unfortunately, it is not as stable as I would have hoped and I may be looking to sell my device. I was wondering what the easiest way to restore my One X to factory settings was with preferably keeping root. Any ideas?

Few questions:
boot loader unlocked?
Soff or Son?
Orignal phone carrier? rogers, att?
The easiest is just to flash one of the "stock but rooted" sense roms from the non original development section.
S-OFF if not already and flash one of the original roms for your device.

It's unlocked, s-off I believe and is on AT&T. Could you send me a link to the original ROM? Also, will it be able to see updates and whatnot? Like will it be just as good as it was coming from the factory?

Here arw your choices... Since you have s off you could flasha stock rooted Rom or you could ruu to the latest jb Rom and root again since you have s off
I'd like to RUU to the latest HTC One X software. How would I go about it? Links are appreciated

Hi this is my current version. I try to update the firmware thru "AT&T software update" and it just loads and goes back to the software check screen :/ I'm on H2O if that matters...not rooted..no custom Rom..nor unlocked bootloader.

Idk a guy did it in less than 15 minutes...all he did was configure some settings and put in the sim...no unlock code needed since H2O is AT&T..But uh I was going to do this .... http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-x-att/software-updates....it looks like it is the safety way to do it no?

If you would have a custom Rom it would let you customize your phone to tour liking plus better than firmware 2.20

Well apparently. Your on firmware 1.85 ...lucky you can root the phone. After you root you supercid it then unlock bootloader, install recovery the download a Rom and your done. Suggest you search for how to root and so on before actually attempting this. I stress this because for any reason your on 2.20 then you wouldn't be able to do this stuff unroll someone finds an exploit for this.

Lol anytime! With this phone I'm kinda paranoid about flashing random things with my inspire that thing was a tank.
+1 to the inspire being a tank. if the older root methods don't work for you, I used the 1.85 RUU to upgrade my phone first and then rooted it because the one click didn't work for me on 1.73.
Root method didn't work... Tried 2 methods... If I factory reset and update, will it update all the way to 2.20 or came I.get it just to 1.85? Or can I run the 1.85 ruu even though it's on 1.73 firmware?

Hello everybody,
I have branded htc one s with T mobile software. I want to have international software, T mobile is very slow for update and today is crashed.
Where I can find original software for htc one s 520 ? (without mobile career brand)
I think you have to root your phone and download and install an official Htc rom. I am in the same situation but my T-mobile version is good 'till now.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I have a tmobile phone, and I use the latest rom available.. which is tmobile ver 2.35.... but before that I was using international roms ver 2.21 and 2.31, but I always have to wait for a developer to root it for us....
waiting to see if Torxx has a new update, since I did see RUU which was for 2.40...
I seen torxx write something on one of the kernel threads, he is working on a update.... yeah....
You can change your CID to HTC__001 and run an unbranded RUU. Then you will receive updates via HTC.

Why don't you take the time to read through the forums before asking questions? You just try to download and run without reading and trying to understand what you're doing.
AT&T cannot unlock bootloader through HTC dev until superCID is achieved. Motochopper exploit within the AIO toolkit will temp root and give you supercid, then you unlock through htc dev, then you can flash recovery then flash su then S-OFF. then flash whatever. There's a ****load to know about this phone so we don't like taking the time to re-explain to every lazy noob there is, if you're not willing to read and learn and search you're going to have a lot of problems so you may as well stay stock.
