I'm sorry I know there are threads regarding setting up of android kitchen, but I need a detailed explanation.
I have installed java jdk and have installed Cygwin also . Now I also downloaded the android kitchen.zip but I didn't get the home directory or folder of cygwin to extract the android kitchen into.
So pls help.:crying::crying::crying:
Any help will be highly appreciated.:good:

Hi all
I'm very new to Rom development, not sure if i can call this dev even. I found a few guides like

problem is these guides are too old, i installed perl but i can't get the XdaDeveloper packages to install.
Is there any other way to extract Nb files?
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I cannot get the rom kitchen to install in the virtualbox, I extract it like the tutorial says but can't get to the terminal ? I go to applications & it wants me to create the action or something, I'm confused here if somebody could help me out with this DISXDA's Rom Kitchen I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

So i want to start making custom roms. I folled the kitchen guide,installed lastest java and downloaded cygwin and kitchen. Then i installed cygwin and latest packages, but whn i open it up to a name folder inside the home folder all i get is "bash-3.2#".
How do i get it to create the name folder with the 3 files generated inside?

Installed it try Copying this to Home Folder
Thanx downloading it now.will let you know of it works.
EDIT :i created the name folder of my pc,copied files in it, still the same result.
Did you perhaps put in any paths in environmental variables?

I am trying to create an Android Installer on Windows on which it will extract the files automatically in the linux partition.
However, I don't know who can help me because I am not quite understand how to start Android on a personal computer

As the title implies, I just installed Android Studio 3.0.1 and I'm trying to follow many tutorials and training videos but most of them keep referring to things I cannot find in my install.
Most notable, most of these tutorials show a RES folder and a JAVA folder under the APP folder.
I do have the APP folder, but there is neither a JAVA folder NOR a JAVA folder underneath.
Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to get them to appear?
