Hi. I'm a noob and I'm experiencing a very strange (possibly problem) with my Desire S. When the battery hits 1%, it switches off but I can switch it back on. Once it's ran out, it doesn't tell me anything about the battery but doesn't boot. When I plug the charger, the LED flashes orange for a minute or two then switches off. I tried reconnecting the charger and the phone instantly switched on. I don't know if anybody else is experiencing the same or a similar problem. I am currently using PACman v22.0.0.

My Cruise (stock ROM) seems to have developed a problem charging from my car charger or when using activesync. If the phone is on and I plug it in, the charging light does not illuminate and it fails to charge. If I switch the phone off and plug it in, the charging light illuminates and it charges. I haven't changed anything on the phone or installed anything new to cause this, it just started doing it.
The problem is identical to the charging problem I experienced on my old Prophet when using some of the earlier cooked ROMS; this time however it is the stock ROM!
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it? I don't really want to have to hard reset but I guess that is my next try (I've already tried soft resets and removing the battery).
Hi all,
i've got a normal nexus s, not rooted or anything, its running 2.3.2 as i haven't had the OTA yet. However strange things have started happening this week with regards to my battery.
I can no longer shutdown the phone whilst its plugged in, it goes through the motions, vibrates and then just hangs on the dimmed screen with shutdown on it. when i unplug the cable, it switches off. However, when i then plug the cable in, it starts up the phone, instead of just charging when switched off with that white battery meter.
It has also stopped recognising that it has been plugged in on the battery use info screen, so it is saying that i have been on battery power for almost 6 days now.
Its not a dealbreaker for me, but i haven't tinkered with anything, and its just plain annoying. I'm starting to think its just shizzle samsung hardware. Anyone any ideas? Or same thing happened? Cheers.
today i woke up like any other day, turned on my Infuse after having a fully charged battery and after doing my morning routine i went to work. on the car i did a random screen unlock, and lock (just to see the battery level), but when i get to work my phone didnt turn on; so i removed the battery thinking it froze, and when i tried to turn it back on after re-inserting the battery nothing happened. i tried plugging into the charger but nothing happens (no vibration, no bottom lights). when plugged into wall charger, after a couple of minutes, (the right side of the back camera) starts heating up for no apparent reason. plz anyone knows whats wrong or any ideas???????
I confronted a weird problem. Before this problem started, my nexus 5's screen was flickering. I researched and the flex cable was the reason of problem. I replaced it with a new one. Screen flicker fixed, but now i have a new problem. Whenever I charged the phone fully, and plug it out screen freezes and sometimes it reboots itself. Always this problem occurs when charge is over %60. However, when it is under %60 everything works as new. And when I plug in charge, it also freezes for a while. Is it battery problem (i change to new battery and problem did not fixed) or its power controller, or bad rom (i use fully stock marshmallow 6.0.1). Also i tried other chargers, same result. Cant find the solution on internet... Need your help
Hey guys,
I am having the issue that my OPO is not charging. It remains at 0% when plugged in indefinitely. As soon as I unplug the charger it will turn off immediately. When plugged in, however, it functions perfectly fine. I reset the phone and also tried different ROMS but I am assuming some hardware issue because switching ROMS or using a different charger and cable did not help. I assumed a faulty battery, so, I replaced the original battery but also that does not fix the issue. Did you experience a similar issue? I know that some hardware part is very likely not working properly but which one is it? Thanks in advance. I am hoping someone can help!
No idea dude..
My OPO works fine with the stock battery even after 4 & half years also gives 4.15hrs of screen on time.
