Strange problem - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I confronted a weird problem. Before this problem started, my nexus 5's screen was flickering. I researched and the flex cable was the reason of problem. I replaced it with a new one. Screen flicker fixed, but now i have a new problem. Whenever I charged the phone fully, and plug it out screen freezes and sometimes it reboots itself. Always this problem occurs when charge is over %60. However, when it is under %60 everything works as new. And when I plug in charge, it also freezes for a while. Is it battery problem (i change to new battery and problem did not fixed) or its power controller, or bad rom (i use fully stock marshmallow 6.0.1). Also i tried other chargers, same result. Cant find the solution on internet... Need your help

charging problem

My Cruise (stock ROM) seems to have developed a problem charging from my car charger or when using activesync. If the phone is on and I plug it in, the charging light does not illuminate and it fails to charge. If I switch the phone off and plug it in, the charging light illuminates and it charges. I haven't changed anything on the phone or installed anything new to cause this, it just started doing it.
The problem is identical to the charging problem I experienced on my old Prophet when using some of the earlier cooked ROMS; this time however it is the stock ROM!
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it? I don't really want to have to hard reset but I guess that is my next try (I've already tried soft resets and removing the battery).

[Q] Charger Problems on Lollipop

Hey guys,
I've noticed in the past days I'm having a weird issue on my Moto G GPE running Lollipop 5.0.1.
In order to the phone starts charging I have to reboot it everytime, unless battery level is above 60%. So basically, I've ruled out other possible causes, tried different chargers, I've cleaned the microusb port several times and nothing seems to work. Everytime the battery is below 60% charge and I plug in the charger port, nothing happens, so, I turn off the phone and immediately the screen lights up with the charging battery logo. I turn on the phone again and it is still charging. Could this be a bug or hardware related stuff? I would really appreciate any help on this because it's really annoying having to restart the phone everytime I need to charge it.
Thanks for your time lads!
Cheers!

Nexus 5 suddenly shutdowns cold on its own

I had the Nexus 5 since launch and its been working fantastically well until it suddenly shuts down by it self in the last couple of days now
As soon i start the camera app, snapchat, watch you tube or listen music (with screen off). The phone goes blank, shuts down and refuses to boot back unless i plug in the mains usb cable which is absurd as the battery was around 60% and clearly there was enough power left. Strangely the phone forgets all my saved wifi passwords and have to connect manually each time the phone shuts down.
I have tried all assortment of troubleshooting methods such as upgrading and downgrading from KitKat to Lollipop , cleared the cache and running though safe mode and calibrating the battery but the problem stills persists
I did replace the screen back in November 2014 and it was work fine until this week.
I have opened the back casing and checked for anything that might be loose but i cant see anything wrong with the components.
I believe the battery is failing and want to know if i can resolve it from any other methods i haven't tried yet. I will be ordering new battery for nexus 5 and see if it solves the problem.
You might have punctured the battery when removing it when replacing the screen

My Screen is black at all times

I just changed my battery and after I did that I saw rainbow colored vertical lines when booting up when I tried to change to the old battery the issue persisted, then I charged my phone because I thought maybe because its a new battery it needs that or something and then my phone actually booted up but I saw only a black screen (i knew it booted up because i seen the charging light powered on) it stays black even if i boot to recovery or bootloader, what to do?
Sounds like a hardware problem. Did you check for any loose or broken connections?
It's the ribbon cable for the screen, mic, usb port etc. that goes right over the battery OR the connector of that cable.
Try to replug, or heaten the connector on the mainboard while the cable is NOT plugged in with a heatgun (but ONLY the connector or something will break)
I fixed a mainboard with heaten the connector so it resoldered itself

I have the same issue, too. Problem occurs because of the flex cable which connects almost everything in the phone and it is sold approximately $5 or $6 at eBay or AliExpress. I ordered one in my country and replaced it. Problem solved but when the phone is fully charged, I try to use Instagram or Twitter etc. (which causes to run the phone at high frequences) and phone freezes, reboots itself. I do not know what to do for proper fix.

I've been using this phone since 2014 and from 4.4.4 KitKat to 6.0.1 Marshmallow (and almost all custom roms from 4.4 to 8.1.0). When this problem occured, firstly I tried another rom including the stock roms. Nevertheless, it was not about firmware. Also I tried old flex cable and for 2 weeks it worked again. By the way, screen flickering appeared again and now I replaced the new one and trying to manage this situation

Phone not charging above 0%

Hey guys,
I am having the issue that my OPO is not charging. It remains at 0% when plugged in indefinitely. As soon as I unplug the charger it will turn off immediately. When plugged in, however, it functions perfectly fine. I reset the phone and also tried different ROMS but I am assuming some hardware issue because switching ROMS or using a different charger and cable did not help. I assumed a faulty battery, so, I replaced the original battery but also that does not fix the issue. Did you experience a similar issue? I know that some hardware part is very likely not working properly but which one is it? Thanks in advance. I am hoping someone can help!
No idea dude..
My OPO works fine with the stock battery even after 4 & half years also gives 4.15hrs of screen on time.
