Coming from App Tester Thread. I've tested it on my HTC EVO 3D, seems working perfectly. Maybe you could make a better GUI. I will give you a rating at play store too and I could help you with the german description at store if you contact me
Works as it should, design is good.
Nothing more to say
App works great on sgs3 SCH-1535:thumbup:

Works fine on my device,
You propably could add extra scale lines on the other sides of the screen, now you only have 1 scale on 1 screen, sometimes it could be handy if you have 2 lines

Nice app! Battery drain seemed unnecessarily high though. My phone showed the app used 9% of the battery drain and only had the app open for a min or so. Also, as a suggestion any thoughts about adding in a simple rulered protractor? eg. draw a line 3cm long at 36° ?
Great idea for an app!
---- Edit ----
Forgot to mention, tested it on Nexus 4 with Paranoid Android, didn't know about how well it would cope with changed DPI settings but it worked correctly =)

Dude, you disappointed me... why you didn't put 1:18 scale ... just kidding.
Very useful app for collectors, It would be great if you add 1:18 scale as well. Car collectors can't live without that scale, you know.
Keep up the good work, thanks.

NEW in 1.6:
- NEW feature: protractor for angles measurement
- More power efficient - less battery drain
- Nicer fonts
The ruler was not to scale on my Atrix HD. All linear measurements were just under half scale when on the 1:1 setting. The protractor seemed correct, but it would have been nice to have some measurements that don't require input, i.e. lines at 30°, 60°, etc. Also a bit slow to respond.

Well, I hate Java and I love C/C++, so I might end up porting this to use JNI. This would probably be one of those areas where using C++ for particle movement could really make a big difference. Thank you.
Very cool.
I noticed you said it's "as fast as I could get it", but you're using postDelayed with 50ms intervals, which limits the refresh rate to 20Hz.
I changed that to 17ms, and added a simple fps display to test - it seems to max out around 30fps on my phone.

Yeah I found 20hz seemed to be the best compromise between animation speed and not using so much cpu time that the phone slows down to a crawl. Different phones might be able to run it faster though.

Thanks!
Downloading... thank you
This is a nice, clean little app. I like the ability in options to include/exclude various units of measurement. I love the esoteric selection (Firkins!) and was going to suggest you add even more. Then I noticed the individual category settings... you pretty much packed everything in there. Impressed, I am.
The swipe to change units/categories works very well and the app overall does very well to avoid unintentional unit changes. It might be nice to have an option to enable simple (short) click to change units/categories for those situations where you have many different conversions and aren't subject to the horrors of random-click FUBAR. My only other suggestion would be to add a dark theme for the iOS haters, and frankly, light text on dark background is just easier on the eyes.
Overall this is the cleanest unit converter I've seen. While the Google search bar will duplicate most of these functions, it requires network access, and doesn't always work if searches aren't typed just right. I always keep a unit converter app on my phone and this is definitely the new contender.
Strong work, dev. Looking forward to future releases!
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but for me, this would give it the finest set of pearly whites. I use these for electronic compass applications at work. I understand if it's of no use to anyone else though. A wise old co-worker once told me that 'we as engineers are not demographically significant'.
Thanks!
Scientific units/Magnetic field:
From Wikipedia (Tesla)
1 tesla is equivalent to:
10,000 (or 104) G (gauss), used in the CGS system. Thus, 10 G = 1 mT (millitesla), and 1 G = 10−4 T.
1,000,000,000 (or 109) γ (gammas), used in geophysics. Thus, 1 γ = 1 nT (nanotesla)
For those concerned with low-frequency electromagnetic radiation in the home, the following conversions are needed most:
1000 nT (nanotesla) = 1 µT (microtesla) = 10 mG (milligauss)
1,000,000 µT = 1 T
Layout is quite excessively broken when screen density is changed, see attached screenshot! Makes the app basically unusable. Shame, it really looks like it would be excellent.

The only problems I was having was with division. My code with division is not very efficient so whenever you select division hard, it takes 3-4 sec to make all 20 problems. And the only problems it comes up with is dividing by 2 or 3. I will work on this in the future.

Tried it on an Asus Transformer TF101 tablet. The startup screen, shows in landscape, so everything is sideways. It won't scroll or show any options but addition, subtraction and multiply.
It seems interesting, but I can't do any but the above 3 options.

Thanks for the feedback. I updated the one in the market to 0.3.1. This fixes landscape orientation. It should be up in a few hours.
Updated to v0.3.1
I need someone to test this on a tablet to see how well it formats.
Hey! Landscape works now on Asus Transformer TF101.
BTW, playing around with the old version (before your update), lack of landscape usability was only when using the docking station (keyboard). Otherwise the game worked fine. It is now good with or without the dock.
One other suggestion because my 9 year old like this, as a 10 or 15 min game.
Perhaps some sort of fireworks or "Yipee!" should you get all 10/10 for that level?
Might keep them more interested? This one may sound odd, but how about some sort of trivia given at the end should 10/10 score? Something along those lines.
Thanks for the game,
ers

I have suggestion. On my Nexus4 when I switch to Scientific, shifted options on upper rows of buttons stands just below buttons (like Shift DRG FES..) but I think they should be just above lower row than that (sin cos tan..) To simplify, for example, yellow shifted option "x^3" should be closer to "x^2" button instead of "cos" button. I think it's much intuitive. Sorry if I'm wrong. Cheers!

If this app adds all the features it claims to, then it's significantly more powerful. I'll let the community decide.

This is my new Unit Conversion app released today, HoloConvert. I felt that all of the current Android unit conversion apps are ugly and many aren't powerful enough, so I decided to make one of my own with a Holo interface in mind. What makes this unit conversion app different?
Like I said before, I feel the user interface of an app is one of the most major components of an app. Even if an app works well, you shouldn't have to sacrifice on the looks or ease-of-use of an app. I made this app to target that, while implementing many features such as:
Saving your favorite conversion units
Adding new custom units
Tip Calculator
Multiple themes
Choice in decimal precision
Built-in calculator
I just released the app, so please let me know what you think and of any suggestions!
Wow this looks great!

That would be great. Also, some more currencies would be great, if you have the time (I kind of miss SEK).
Great app though! and at 0.79€, very affordable!
Scrolling through the units is extremely laggy on my phone, other buttons work with instant feedback. Somehow the list is really heavy to render.
I prefer asking google now for unit conversion but this is very nice app
Nice and handy app. One little bug, I cannot input negative numbers on the From input. E.g., when converting from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Just downloaded.
Looks very nice but I have two remarks.
On my SGS2 4.3" display, text is HUGE.
It would be nice to be able to select between few text sizes.
Nothing fancy, simple "Small, Medium, Large" selection.
You desperately need to implement reverse conversion.
If I choose meter as first unit and insert number "1", it works for Angstrom but cannot cope with AU.
You could implement simple swipe left or right to replace currently selected units
Also, question "Are you sure you wish to exit?" is unnecessary in my opinion.
Best wishes in new year!
This ain't right...

That looks like Fahrenheit to Kelvin conversion. Code bugs it seems like.

Well I purchased it.
Will keep it but two issues so far.
The icon is ugly (will be nice to have something graphical)
The first conversion I tried was not accurate. There are exactly 12 inches to a foot so I selected convert feet to inches, selected 3 feet and it did not convert to exactly 36 inches.
Nice
Some current, resistance, voltage, ect. units, would be great. Nice job I can help with translation to polish.
great!
 it's cool
Very nice app. I just have not been able to enter a negative number for conversion.
For instance, if I attempt to enter -40 for a F to C for temp conversion, the "-" symbol does not appear to register as having been selected for input, despite the fact that the keyboard shows it available and I have entered it.
