Hi mate.
We haven't been able to get S-OFF just yet. So the answer is no. It can't be used.

S-Off required because our system partition is too low...

Only 235 MB. So, you can't fit in two OS'es in 235 mB or so. So, wait till S-off. And, don't brick your device in the process of trying to obtain dual boot :silly:
P.S.: Mark the thread solved, for now.

I'd advise you to read my post in this thread a while ago.
Once boot.img was mentioned I was able to get it all working with a custom rom! I just didn't know what to look/search for!
First time flashing a custom, so I do appologise.
Many thanks

If your Hboot is higher then 1.13 then TWRP wont flash boot.img and has to be fastbooted.

Use the Kernel bit of the Toolkit to flash the boot.img, you will need to extract the boot.img rom the rom zip.

Now i see only a screen whit red text "This build is for development purposes only Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC’s written permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action”.
I can not more in recovery ?? Dont see mclockwork mod enymore.
I think he is broken :crying:
CWM is a ***** to boot into on the S. You need to restart it with pwr+vol- until the phone decides to let you in.
Or, if you have a working ADB connection - run 'adb reboot recovery'. That has worked for me every time.

You need to get into bootloader and flash TWRP recovery with the toolkit and then the boot.img and then it should boot into recovery fine.

No not the rom zip but the boot.img inside the rom zip, you need to extract it from the zip.

Go here and download the Boot.img/Kernel zip, it will have a script to flash the boot.img so unpack that and replace the boot.img there with the one you want to use. Put your phone into fastboot and then use the script.
Do you have windows or Linux on your PC

Help!

Ok so rooted and s-off'd my HTC one m8 using sunshine....put a custom Rom on it for a while....then put stock back on...well now I wanna put a custom on again....so I went throught the steps. Well when I go to put my identifier token through HTC dev, it says it's not correct or too long. Why is it doing it now and what can I do?

Once you are s-off'ed you don't need to unlock your bootloader again.

The answer to your question is No.
so how do you update to 8.1 while rooted? Thx
edit: figured it out. Edit the flash-all script and take out the -w and just have 1 space there. go into bootloader and flash it. reboot back into bootloader after and fastboot boot twrp then flash twrp and magisk.

No idea. Still trying to figure this out, currently trying to flash the .img like you said with the toolkit. But thinking maybe flashing the whole 8.1 ROM. Should work ......I think ...:cyclops:
you dont need the toolkit for that.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
let phone reboot then you can use skip toolkit. get the latest one that supports 8.1
Doing the above gets rid of the red triangle error "device is corrupt"
