I am currently working on a app that will come up on a galaxy y that when the usb cable is connected, will launch the OS.
The device will be run from a cigarette lighter which gives enough power to sustain it when the app is on, BUT theres one big issue, if I dont use the car for a while the battery will obviously run down in 2 or 3 days, and when the energy returns, the app will not be able to start again by itself.
So i searched and tried thousands of solutions to make the device starts when the power AC is on, instead of stuck on the battery sprite screen...
I know we have this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815131 from last year
but in that case, the guy have fastboot to use its commands to modify the bootloader args, but within my research i have found that we dont have fastboot on samsung devices, just odin mode...
So the question is: is there any way to modify the bootloader, or put a bootloader that have this feature via odin?

My phone only shows the the elephone 2 e sign when I turn it on. I have tried pressing the on and volume key when I turn it on but nothing happened. I have followed some instructions on the elephone manufacturer site about installing drivers to my computer and then trying to reinstall the firmware. Unfortunately my computers (I have tried on three different ones) does not identify that a device is connected to the computer. Therefore I can't proceed to install the driver as according to my computer it is not installed. I have tried 2 different leads as well. I would be grateful for some help as I have no idea where to go from here.
Facing a similar issue, and since there's still no reply to this thread, I would like to add up a few findings I have on this matter to maybe help others and get helped.
My P3000S is also reaching the Elephone logo and displays it for a minute and then restarts, repeating the process (aka boot-loop).
The same happens whether it is connected or not connected to the charger/computer through a USB cable. (I've tried new cables but that's not the case).
When disconnected I can stop the boot-loop only by holding down the on/off button for a few seconds (or removing the battery of course).
When connected to the the charger or computer through the USB cable I have no way to stop the boot-loop (holding down on/off just restarts it).
Now with the battery removed..:
If I connect it to the charger/computer, though the charging red light turns on normally, I can't turn on the phone using the on/off button.
However, when connected through USB to a windows computer, I can see in the device manager that, right when I connect the phone it shows up as "Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM Port" under COM ports group, for 1 second and then disappears as if it was disconnected. There's no repetition here I have to manually hold down the on/off button or disconnect and reconnect the phone from the cable to cause this to happen again.
So, I am unable to flash anything nor turn the phone on because I practically only have 1 second of its presence in my devices list.
Also, I have tried all possible combinations with the volume up/down keys and the on/off button in order to enter recovery mode, with no success..
In case anyone has faced something similar or has any ideas on a possible fix on this phone please feel free to reply.
At last a reply to my initial message. Unfortunately it was someone with the same problem as me. I took out a paypal case against the person I bought the phone from and eventually they repaired it. Unfortunately they never told me how. To make matters worse it broke again within 2 months. The phone is now sat in a draw doing nothing. I have given up on it and will never buy another Elephone phone again.
Hello there everyone, hope you guys are doing great. Well, this thread might be a bit stupid at first since many others might have posted something related to it but since I couldn't find the exact answer, I had to post a newer thread.
I have a Fire Phone which used to run great and perfect and I had been using it the other day while charging it with an Aspor Powerbank which does run great. The Fire Phone got stuck due to a few NOT FOR THE FIRE PHONE apps such as the Instagram and the rest. When stuck, I held the power button for 10-15 seconds to do a reset and it did work while it was still on charging. Now the phone wouldn't turn on without the AC power via the USB. It gets stuck in a boot-loop. Just shows the Amazon logo and restarts again. Nothing works at all, not even the recovery mode or the rest or even resets without the USB plugged in.
I did try to upgrade but was of no use at all, did try the Cynogen OS by flashing it in. It didn't work at all and the same issue persists. I have removed the battery and plugged it back in but again of no use. The battery does charge if you think it's the battery, The battery does stay there active and great. I did try changing the USB cable and the Adapter. Nothing!
One more thing, when plugged in to AC, I can go to the Recovery Mode and then remove the USB cable, the Recovery Mode does stay active on battery power for countless hours. What should I do?
Is it the USB port? Is the battery? Or is it just me?
Oh btw, I did try installing the Stock Update available on Amazon.com and the PC (Windows 8 64-bit) does recognize the phone on ADB mode. Does list the serial of the phone when connected but when side-loading an update via the ADB, it says that it doesn't read! Gives an error. How do I work on that? I did try installing the ADB drivers again but still nothing. Did try downloading the updates from other sites and even a downgraded file, nothing works. What should I do?
Hi,
some weeks ago I just took my Lumia 1020 out of my pocket and noticed that the led was always on and the screen was fully off. I connected it to the computer and it got recognised (although locked). I rebooted, reset it, drained the battery, reloaded the firmware through the Windows Phone Recovery Tool but no luck.
As soon as I connect it, the LED turns on and the screen stays off.
The only difference that I noticed is that the home button (Windows logo) turns on shortly after draining the battery and reconnecting the phone to the charger / computer again.
Have you got any idea?
Thank you as always
When just the Windows button is alight, you have to charge the Lumia. Try a 2000mA charger, e.g. from a Samsung device. Have it charged several hours and post your experience. Maybe you also have to physically disconnect the battery. Tools are required (Torx 4 or 5).

Hi,
I did this, I also disconnected the battery. No luck.
I am trying to find a reason why the LED stays always on, I don't find any explanation on Google
Thanks for you reply by the way, it is hard to find help for Nokia phones.
Hi,
is the phone detected by device manager if connected to your computer? If it appears as Qualcomm somewhat device, change the driver to Nokia Emergency. Use WPInternals or thor2.exe (command line!) from WDRT folder. When you use thor2.exe without arguments, you can pipe the output into a helpfile. Look for emergency mode in the help file. Download required emergency files from Lumiafirmware.com.
Good luck!

Hi,
thanks, I will try and will let you know
Thanks!
Hi, long story short, is i have a google pixel 3xl with a locked bootloader and stock android rom, its never been flashed or anything, yet somehow i have a user who is accessing my phone remotely without my authorization.
Their user dont show up which begs me to believe that they are logging in via remote administration tools built into android.
So far they have disabled my power button so if i turn my phone off, i cant turn it back on without plugging it into the charger, only then will the power button work. And sometimes they change it back so the button works.but then whenever i turn off the phone, it will boot up by its self. When they change it so the power button dont work, when i turn the phone off, i notice that the phone isnt actually off as i can feel the heat from the cpu and networking asics on the device still working and when i boot back into the phone. The battery life has decreased.
Since then i have installed a smart rgb light and they have put a script to autorun either on my phone or within the flash rom chips of the light so that the light automatically turns off whrnever i try to turn it on.
How can i block remote access to the phone, and what tools are they using ti gain access to my stock android 11 setup.
Because even when i turn the phone off. They still have access to the device, i have ran network monitoring tools and their access dont show up within android which leads me to believe that they may be using a hidden user which has elevated admin access than the stock user that comes with the phone as the way they are coming into the phone i believe is through ita cellular connection as in the past they have been remotely accessing it when i havent been near any wifi hotspots.
Thabks so much for your help
They also disabled my charging port partially and if i connect a new charger to it, the charger will work but then they disable the chargers device id, and headphones unique mac addresses from connecting with my phones usb-c port
Yep
I succesfully rooted my Tab A 9.7 LTE and installed MacroDroid to make it power off when the charger is unplugged.
However, I can't make it turn on when plugging in.
I read about it here and watched this, but I can't get the CMD to work with fasboot command. Looks like my PC does not recognise the tablet when it's in recovery menu, and when I choose "Reboot to bootloader" it just reboots to download mode.
adb devices then works, but fastboot in any iteration does not
Take note that Fastboot isn't supported on any Samsung devices.
Hmm.
Maybe that's the reason, thanks!
Well, is there another way to make a samsung tablet turn on when plugged to power?
IDK, dont own a Samsung device.
Hint: Add Tab A 9.7 LTE to this thread's title thus mainly owners of such device get addressed.
