Bootloop Amazon Fire Phone - XDA Assist

Hello there everyone, hope you guys are doing great. Well, this thread might be a bit stupid at first since many others might have posted something related to it but since I couldn't find the exact answer, I had to post a newer thread.
I have a Fire Phone which used to run great and perfect and I had been using it the other day while charging it with an Aspor Powerbank which does run great. The Fire Phone got stuck due to a few NOT FOR THE FIRE PHONE apps such as the Instagram and the rest. When stuck, I held the power button for 10-15 seconds to do a reset and it did work while it was still on charging. Now the phone wouldn't turn on without the AC power via the USB. It gets stuck in a boot-loop. Just shows the Amazon logo and restarts again. Nothing works at all, not even the recovery mode or the rest or even resets without the USB plugged in.
I did try to upgrade but was of no use at all, did try the Cynogen OS by flashing it in. It didn't work at all and the same issue persists. I have removed the battery and plugged it back in but again of no use. The battery does charge if you think it's the battery, The battery does stay there active and great. I did try changing the USB cable and the Adapter. Nothing!
One more thing, when plugged in to AC, I can go to the Recovery Mode and then remove the USB cable, the Recovery Mode does stay active on battery power for countless hours. What should I do?
Is it the USB port? Is the battery? Or is it just me?

Oh btw, I did try installing the Stock Update available on Amazon.com and the PC (Windows 8 64-bit) does recognize the phone on ADB mode. Does list the serial of the phone when connected but when side-loading an update via the ADB, it says that it doesn't read! Gives an error. How do I work on that? I did try installing the ADB drivers again but still nothing. Did try downloading the updates from other sites and even a downgraded file, nothing works. What should I do?

[Q] Transformer wont boot withou dock or usb

I'm having a problem with my transformer, it wont turn on withou being connected to the dock or usb to a computer...
I've tried to install another rom but it still keeps the problem.. What can i do?
I've updated to ICS, is there any way that this update is related to the problem? thanks
EDIT: Installing custom rom, downgrading back to HC and it still remains.. What can i do?
Does it work properly after its booted? I mean, can you disconnect it from the dock/PC?
My first thought was "busted battery", but that doesnt quite seem to fit...
You could try draining the battery completely in the tablet, then leave it charging over night (turned off, not connected to dock or PC) and see if that helps.
Sounds like a bad power button. After it turn on with USB or dock connection, does it still stay power on and operate normally?
Yes, its fully operational... I've tried to reset battery stats too...

Help!! Nexus S stuck in Downloading...

Hey guys, so I just came across a Nexus S GT-i9020T but it has a problem! The problem is right after it's turned on, it immediately goes into "Downloading... Do not turn of target!!!" with an android sweeping up icon... Now I just bought this off a guy and he only told me that the last thing he did was install some Cybermod 9 skank mod??? he claims the phone was working fine until he went to reboot and got this Downloading.. screen from there on out.. Now I can't even get the phone recognized on my Windows 7 computer but I'm really new to this stuff and thought if i could get this fixed i'd have a cheap new/used Nexus S.. I've tried the Volume Up + Power hold, and other variants and cannot get the phone into bootloader. Also, when I plug in the USB cable there's no charging icons, and it seems the battery is getting low and dying so I'm going to buy an external battery charger to keep it topped up while I try to repair it. Please tell me what I can try to get this thing working! Thank you!

check if the volume down is stuck. power button + volume down get you into download mode.
Not quite sure how to tell if the volume down button is stuck... I can hear it clicking when i push it.. Hitting around the volume button area doesnt seem to do anything.. Any key combo I hold always brings me into "Downloading.."
Edit: I opened up the phone and the volume keys seem to be working fine
Do you have the Android SDK? I'd think if you got those, you'd be able to issue the ADB commands and reboot into the bootloader that way.
Yes i have the Android SDK installed properly, however i'm not sure if i have the correct USB Drivers since i just got this phone and havent ever hooked it up to my PC before.. I've worked on my Galaxy S and Galaxy Nexus before, but i've since updated USB drivers to 1.4.8..... I tried 'adb devices' in a terminal and can't get the PC to recognize the phone at all, but thats about all i know for commands. What else can I try??
ok so i found a list of commands, tried 'adb reboot-bootloader' but its saying error: device not found... Now my battery is almost completely dead and phone only comes on for 3-4 seconds so i think i need to go buy that external battery charger before i continue because the phone will NOT charge via usb cable attached to phone..
I haven't updated my SDK in ages and it still recognizes my device. In my case, sometimes my USB ports act funky and won't recognize my phone. I'd have to either restart the PC or switch ports and it would work. Let us know if you get the phone fully charged up

So i picked up the charger and now have a charged battery! Still not sure how to get the PC to recognize the phone though... Was I right in installed the 1.4.8 Samsung mobile phone driver or is there another driver i need to use like pdanet???
OK!! Got the PC to recognize the phone being plugged in but it's still showing up as "Unknown Device" under device manager.. I'm guessing this means I don't have the right drivers, or?? Also I'm not getting anywhere under terminal "adb devices" or "adb reboot-bootloader".. saying error: device not found
Install the drivers through pdanet

The problem with PDAnet is that I can't actually turn the phone on to enable debugging so PDAnet doesn't fully install - unless i'm mistaken but it still shows as Unknown device in device manager
Anyone??????? Just to recap, on my Nexus S when i turn the phone on i'm stuck on the "Downloading... Do not turn off target" screen (can't use volume up + power) always goes to download screen.. The phone shows up as "Unknown Device" in device manager.. Odin doesnt pick it up, adb devices shows no devices... Ive tried a few different drivers such as pdanet, samsung 1.4.8, with no success.... Please someone must know a solution?
go go linux, bit of a pita but the drivers shouldn't give any problems
I have ubntu on a usb stick already but i don't really know how to use it all that well... will it have drivers already or do i need to download some linux usb samsung driver?
http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html
this has the info on the driver bit see configuring usb access, the rest would just be getting adb and fastboot for linux
I really can't figure out Ubuntu.. i even seemed to brick it somehow off a usb stick.. try to boot it and just get a black screen after the UBUNTU logo loading screen... man i'm hopeless lol
Aaaaaaaaaanybody?

OK after a few hours of messing around I got Ubuntu up and running, installed JDK, SDK, and still no devices found when i bring up a terminal and type 'adb devices' while the Nexus S is on and in downloading do not turn off target!! mode.... Tried Unbrickable resurrector with no success saying it can't find device either... I know I have usb drivers and adb installed correctly because i can plug in my Gnex and get the adb device # no problem... This is super frustrating!!
bump
Wish I knew of another way to help. I'm out of ideas.

HELP! Unknown issue.

I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket, yes it is rooted.
My phone ran out of juice last night and I started to charge it.
I had class at 12, woke up at 11 so I turned off my phone to make it charge quicker. a few minutes later it was on. I tired turning it off to no avail. It turns off and comes right back on. I then tried to put it into usb mode so I could copy a few songs onto it....It wouldnt go into usb mode (it recognized the charge, but not the fact it was plugged into a pc) Kies wouldnt recognize it.
Did 3 factory resets, didnt work still same issues.
Also, it wont go into download mode, just vibrates every few seconds until i let go.
any help is appreciated.

Are you running an ICS rom or on GB rom or stock with root?
Stock GB with a root.
What do you mean ran out of juice? It went completely dead and shut off?

That's odd issue. Lets see did ya try to chose the option phone in USB debugging mode then plug your usb cable and check if you get the usb mass storage in the notification bar so you can activate it from there? Also check the drivers in your pc just in case. Sorry if my English sounds bad english not my natal language.
Every action that failed is cable dependent. Try a different "known good" USB cable, or test your same cable with another smartphone. Test On/off while connected, Mass Storage PC connection and Download Mode if possible.

Phone not charging, can go download mode but in normal mode USB can't connect to pc

Hi all please help me resolve this issue. The issue is My lg g2 D800 is not charging. I still got 30% of battery left. everything is working normally. There is no problem with any other functionality. also the battery is draining normally. I did a factory reset but that didn't solve the issue. but when i totally shut down the phone and connect the usb it shows that it charging in shut down mode but its take like 5 hours to charge 4%. I also can go download mode by pressing and hold vol+ and connecting usb to the pc but i cant find my phone in download mode. also in normal mode USB cant find my phone.
only the phone shows the red notification of charging when i shut it down but normally it's charging in a super snail mode. i tried different cable and charger that works perfectly with other phone.
should i replace the charging port? or is there any voltage regulator that is damage? in that case i might change the whole motherboard. I thought of resetting the phone to kitkat using the lg flashing tool that i normally use to jump from 20c to 20y then to lollipop but since i cant find my phone in download mode i cant even try that. I did rooted my phone previously but now i am using lollipop without rooting.
thanks in advance for any helpful suggestion.
I have this problem too. . .are you got a solution?

S8+ with strange power charging behavior

Hi,
yesterday i replaced the mainboard of my g955f. After that i rooted the phone and flashed a newer stock rom with odin. I didn't like the rom and tried to install an older one. But because of the newer bootloader version of the installed stock rom i got a FAIL in odin after hitting the start button. Then i disconnected the phone, downloaded a newer stock rom and flashed it via odin without any problems. But since then my g955f shows some strange power charging behavior:
1. When i turn it off and plug in the usb charger then the download (odin) mode comes up and it doesn't charge. But i can exit the download mode via power+vol. down and the phone restarts and boots up normally. Everything else works and looks normally, too (booting into twrp, connecting to pc via usb, turn phone on without usb connection etc.). It also doesn't charge when i plug in the cable and turn it off.
2. I can only charge my phone when i restart it, wait until the homescreen appears and then plugin the cable. If i would wait until the lockscreen/standby-screen shows up or i put it into standby and then plug in the cable it won't charge. Furthermore it wont charge after i charged and unplugged it, put it into standby and then plug it in again. But if i avoid standby/lockscreen after unpluging and plug it in again, then it charges.
I have already tried other stock and custom roms but the behavior is the same. Because of the working usb connection to the pc and the ability to charge (under special circumstances) i don't think that the problem is hardware-related. To me it seems like a file/software/firmware-problem. I guess that standby and shutdown set some status information/flags that prevent the phone from charging.
Have you any idea what i can do to fix the problem?
