"Which is better" questions aren't allowed...
They hurt developer's feelings, and so, they may stop development for your device So, try to be more polite.
Try the ROM's yourself, and everyone has different opinions. So, you may think one ROM as the best while another person may not quite think so.:sarcastic:
Try to be more polite and careful in future.

For the 100th time on this forum: No "Which is best" Threads. See Guide sticky in General section. Try the roms yourself and get to your own conclusion.

best custom Rom for desire s till date??
Wrong forum - should be in "Q&A"
Wrong question - read first, get a feeling from the dev threads and from other people's comments.
Finally - try some out for yourself. You will see very clearly that the two recommended ROMs are always Endymion (if you want Sense) or Reaper (If you want no Sense and the fastest ROM around), but the only ay to see which is best is to try them out yourself.

+1 to everything simon sez
There's a plethora of similar threads asking the same question. I'm sure they popped up when you were creating this thread. But meh... why not create a new one just for fun??
haahaa good old enigmaamit, i knew you'd be here, but seriously if you were to get an answer for this, people might list a range of different roms that all have bugs in them, the best stable roms are endymion and reaper, purely because they're fast and bugless

Root and Pimp

some one wants me to root and flash custom rom
so i need to know whats the most stable rom for this thing?
This may sound so much of a cliché, but it's all a matter of preference.
The stable ROMs of which I have tried myself are Zeus (6.0 and ZT-R), Aeon, Emancipation, and Vagabond. These ones are all built from ground-up in my understanding. These are all Gingerbread ROMs (2.3.x).
The Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs vary from AOKP to CM9 ports. It is really a matter of preference.
To get a head start, visit the Development section and check the Super Everything Thread. Everything that you can flash is in there.
Good luck!

Lots of stable, great roms around here...like mentioned.
Why not just have the individual log on here...let them learn the process and allow us to teach them....and you can also teach them....
It will be more rewarding for the person unless you plan on being around them for continue support....

Try using the latest CM10 v0.8 with hypothalamus kernel. You may have to install google wallet yourself.

There is no best ROM. I don't know why every single noob has to ask that question. It's all a matter of opinion and we all know the saying about opinions.

[Q] [OPINION] require opinion on creating a custom rom GB Based

HI Pico users,
I was thinking of creating a custom Rom since a long time now which would be based on ginger bread sense 3.5 but having an option of custom launchers (apex, holo etc..), kernels, apps, themes etc in the aroma installer
Purpose of creating this Rom or having this idea:
I myself have found that sense 3.5 is the most stable for my phone + the internet pass through function + other kernels support m2sd so no prob of less internal memory, and no bugs too and many more which i don't remember , but i find myself going back to either ateeq's Rom or nextgen1.5 all the time and very often i use launchers to change the look and have all the features.
So please give your opinions as im going to make this Rom for myself anyway, so if any one is interested in having it will take proper permissions and start a thread here once its ready! :fingers-crossed:
PLEASE DON'T STEAL THIS IDEA! :fingers-crossed:
Happy that you want to create a custom stock ROM... But, no one stealing the idea sounds crazy. Any one may be working on a custom stock ROM right now. So, please remove that line...
And as for the ideas, learn from the predecessors, I.e. next-gen, ateeq, and even the recent xenon roms
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda app-developers app
I know that, that line sounds crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. But bro im nit asking ppl not to make custom stock roms they can, I'm just saying that the idea what I have shared is more than that of creating a custom stock rom, correct me if I am wrong bro.....
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda app-developers app
Then ok... And,as you said the line does sound a little crazy... But, this lots of features can increase the size of the ROM so much, that you might first have to set up the ROM correctly and, users must be willing to download.. Users prefer a 100 mb file more than a 200 mb one, ain't it...
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda app-developers app
True that's ryt bro but if its like stable and also easily installable then users will surely prefer downloading coz if u see sense 4 is 200mb too I mean that's what I think that ppl will prefer it u know coz it will give them all the sense features + freedom to use other launchers to customize looks I'm still not sure myself if it willbe a good.idea to do this
I think ill try to control the size and keep it below 200mb and still include as many things as much as possible .....I guess ill pick the recent 1.4.xxx version of Rom which is odexed ill try to.deodex and for the UI ill keep the look as stock ...sound good ?
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium
Okey dokey idea... But, it's up to you to decide what features to add and what not to... This is the internet... Opinions vary... Create a poll if u want...

[Q] HTC Sensation. Sense 5. Viper S 5.1.0 ROM.. can i install Kitkat 4.4 & how?

Thanks ive just bought a 2nd hand HTC Sensation running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on a Viper S 5.1.0 rom.. its my 1st Android, and my 1st smartph, i know a little about techy stuff but definately no expert, so im not quite sure of the difference between Firmware and Rom (or are they the same?) i saw a link for Pacman something something, was a firmware packer for Kitkat, but is that a ROM? (i quite like the tweaks with Team Venom) so im pretty sure thats not the way to go.. id like to keep all the venom but have the chocolatey goodness of Kitkat.. if anyone could give me some feedback and tips or yes/no that would be awesome.. what rom topic!? , when he can't post on Android Development because he is under 10 post, and first read what he ask.... he is asking about rom changing...
Hoooo i always forget this, ... Sorry
@rzr86 : thanks a lot
Download and flash a couple of kit Kat roms. They all nearly the same in my opinion. I prefer sense 4+ to be honest. Don't ask which Rom is best because your thread will be closed ( just advise)

If you've got sense 5 you won't need to change the firmware. Do you know how to get into recovery mode if so after you download a kk Rom go to recovery and press backup. This will back up your sense 5 Rom incase you want to go back to it. When it's complete go back and press wipe all except sd card. Then go back and press choose zip and then find your download file. The kk zip file you downloaded should be there. Press install and wait. Once installed you have to go back and do the same with gapps file which you should have downloaded with your Rom. Once complete go back and reboot your phone then wait few minutes and your kk Rom will be ready to set up and use.

I believe he is asking whether there is a KitKat ROM with Sense. I don't know of any, but if someone knows a few, then they can make a suggestion.
Best rom
I'd recommend SultanXDA CM11, I think it is most stable and best battery life, almost no bugs.
