I've seen many at Rockland 2 weeks ago but bought the black I didn't know that it wasn't out yet wouldve bought it...Even MobileSyrup just did a post on a white bumper...I was like why so late lol
I own a white bumper. Its a replica but an exact replica and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I'm guessing that's what this is. I've sold plenty of the to xda members too.

I was the one to see this and report it to Android Central. It looked exactly like the official black one and I highly doubt Videotron would sell a replica. I regret not buying it on spot now.
To the OP: that was my picture and I definitely saw it. It was in the Videotron store in the Eaton Centre if you are interested.

Yea this is the official bumper Videotron doesn't sell replicas I bought the black one from them
Google currents

That is the official videotron website that says that it is designed by LG. I believe that is concrete proof.
That looks really nice

That's awesome! I can say I'd have snagged it up in a heartbeat but in reality it would have been a tough call. Realistically, I probably would have gone for the black as well. But now I really want to see pics of the white one on an N4.

Shouldn't be too different than that.
So after seeing the news story this morning about Videotron carrying the White Bumpers I decided to go to my local Videotron and low and behold they had official White Bumpers so I picked one up. Here's some pictures of my Nexus 4 inside the new one.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wvlfl6064euy69h/photo (1).JPG
It's pretty close to the black one (I have one that i'm returning to Google for a refund because of the USB crack of death) the only other obvious difference besides that it's white is that the middle portion is a lighter silver grey than the one found on my black bumper.
The model number is CCH-190 ACUSWH and the warranty talks about Australia/New Zealand so presume it was originally for that region

Ahh okay, I lost my warranty card a few weeks ago for my black bumper so I didn't have it for reference. Having it around would have had made getting an RMA on the black bumper easier lol.

Lol as long as u bought it from the play store u are all good. Although I heard that Google will send u to LG for a warranty claim and LG will only give refunds as they have no more black bumpers ATM.

Ahh well both are pretty bad from my experience. I called a few times for my broken bumper, every time Play Store Support insisted the Bumper had no warranty and they wouldn't provide any service. After 2-3 calls I eventually emailed and was told again they can't repair or replace the bumper but I could return it for a refund. Which is why I have the white one now. I tried LG support while Google was giving a hard time, the rep started telling me off that they don't provide support for Nexus products whether or I got it from the Play Store or a carrier and to contact Google and he can't help me at all *sigh* Anyway that's off topic.
The white one is nice, find it gives a good contrast between the black Nexus's color scheme, reminds me alittle of the HTC One X.

That's crazy. Yea I know how Google is I ordered my nexus on Nov 13th launch day and was in limbo for a month not knowing what was up with my phone that I ordered 28 min into the launch.
I love my white replica one but I'm sure ill buy the OEM white one too though Lol. I also got a red replica and a green one on the way

Yeah the replica's look nice, i'd love to have a faux white bumpe to compare to the official and maybe a green too, just haven't been excited to try putting my credit card on an unreliable website like aliexpress and buychina. Nice thing with dealextreme is they let me use paypal to have a buffer zone.

What does this have anything to do with south korean mentality? Someone has in their possession something that belongs to samsung that wasn't released to public and they're demanding that person to return it. That's an issue?
Is this any different than what jason chan from gizmodo went through with iphone4 leakage to a lesser extreme?
You've been ranting about samsung in every other post. If you don't like the company, just don't buy their product

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I've never owned an android phone from Samsung so I don't have any first hand experience with them, but after hearing complaints about their lack of support and their under performing radios for Sprint I'm weary of them.

I saw that too after reading some of the comments from people about it, they also fail to give a source for where they found it at. Although, by the looks of how Nexus Prime is highlighted it may have accidentally been indexed by Google. As Yale just found a few days ago Google is very good at finding stuff it's not supposed to and exposing it for the whole world to see.

Lack of updates only applies to the US carrier devices as the international version of galaxy s was updated to gingerbread before pretty much anyone else. Also this is a nexus device we're discussing here. No matter who the manufacturer is, update will be released on these devices first
the nexus s, was....meh, samsung pretty much was known to be making it ever since they announced the prime. that pic that was leaked a few months ago (the one with the phone sitting on the fur rug) i could have told you right away that was a sammy.
i'm not a big fan of the sammy's. mainly because without a rubber case or bumper, their phones are VERY VERY VERY VERY easy to drop.

No Nexus device became available in CDMA only model when it launched. Either they are getting a world phone or they are getting it later ala Nexus S 4G
No way Google decides something like this. Bet my head on this

When google first released the nexus s it wasnt directly thru tmobile. You had to go to best buy. I wonder if the nexus prime will be one phone for all carriers, one phone that is open with gsm/ cdma capability and all bands for world use.

Personally I thought it would of been Motorola as Google have bought them out now. Or maybe LG was the other speculation. I hope this phone dont have the efs folder like the galaxy s and the nexus s has as that has caused a lot problem with people losing there imei number when flashing roms.

Darker colors aren't the only ones to be excited about. Unlike most typical LCD panels which can't support the whole color gamut, amoled panels typically exceed the color gamut support along with other benefits such as overall thinner panel package and power efficiency difference from lack of backlight usage
oh yeah yellow tint is really bad on these phones right? In real life, my laptop screen looks more yellowish than my phone

Heres to hoping TMo releases this phone soon, stateside! I've been waiting since december to utilize my full upgrade. BRING IT ON!
I hear you. I have been itching to upgrade with multiple upgrades available on my accounts. I dont want to fork over full price for the Galaxy Nexus like I did with the previous two and want to actually use my upgrade this year. I hope tmobile releases this on 4/4 .
TmoNews posted an article about April 22nd release date. Still all rumors, but here's the hoping.

the take the grey version. i think it will be hard enough as long as you don't try to scratch it on purpose
Is anodized a cheaper process? If so I would think the Grey version may be cheaper than the black version outright. Or maybe that is why Tmobile USA is getting the grey version.

That's possible. Both finishes are extremely high quality but the micro arc oxidation process is more rare in smartphones.
I actually think I like the grey version better. Looks reminiscent of the Nexus One, which is still probably my favorite Android design from HTC.

@Hgaara - I asked a similar question in another XDA thread & so far, it doesn't appear TMobile US is getting the black MAO model. I posed my original question as I did because I found several sources which say only the gray anodized model is coming to TMo, although the information gathered so far is anecdotal. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Just wondering though. if I fif get tmo model can I flash N5 stock rom over the tmo bloated gersion? Speaking of that anyone use tue tmo model and if so is there a lot of bloat ir is it minimal? Thanks in advance.

the nexus never comes bloated, its the same rom.
The good thing about the Google Nexus line is no matter where you get it, it's going to be the same. Clean and carrier unlocked.
If it's cheaper to get it from T-Mo, go that route, if not get it from the Play Store. They both will be the same.

With the tmo model. I can put $40 down amd have monthly payments of $12 a month. but they only offer the 16gb model which for me is hard as my current phone, xperia play, has a 64gb card in it. Coming down to a 32 model would be much easier to transition to.
Sent from my R800at using xda premium
Why?
Why don't you get the motoX or the new G? Or just buy the 32gig off the play store and tell her it's the 16gb worked for me.
As mentioned there are no carrier versions of the Nexus 5. They are all the same sold by different people. Tmobile or even Sprint doesn't get to change anything about the device.
A Moto G? I'm thinking about getting that one for my wife because she doesn't need much and for $200 it's almost a no brainer but she has my older SGS2 now and seems just fine so i'll let her keep that for now. I was tempted to give her my Nexus 4 but yeah....
Odds are if the OP wanted a Nexus 5 he wouldn't go G, maybe X but not G. I like your idea about telling her it's X but since the woman usually handles the cash, she'll see the costs then no sex for you for a month. LOL
Yeah my wife is an accountant so she sees and analyzes everything. Love her to death but sometimes it drives me nuts. As stated before. The 32gb is my choice but the wife doesnt want to pay $400 plus up front. So the only choice is the tmo route but its the 16 only model. $43 down with monthly no interest payments of $12 a month.
Guess the compromise would be the tko route. I sure as hell domt want to end up as a dirt pile in the back yard.

While that I am sure is the reason VZ did not get the N5 this time around.... from looking around online for the N5 this is correct. But yes the Galaxy Nexus and VZ was a b!tch situation...... I knew several people who bailed on VZ after this issue.. Google Wallet anyone...

I think Google learned from that one too!
I have a gnex and that was the worst nexus experience ever.
OP, your wife did good for you. The T-Mobile version would cost more in the long run then the 32 gig Google play version.

Yes, and that was my dilemma. Why spend an extra $100 for a 16gb model for the long run when I can just pay up, which is what I prefer anyway and get the 32GB model.
Question to everyone though. I have a screen cover coming in the mail but am trying to decide on a case...
These are what I am looking at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251368586452?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271309684697?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
If others have any other suggestions/comments on an excellent case for a great price please let me know.. or if you have the LG/Google OEM case what your thoughts are on that, although I dont want to spend $35. And yes I know you get what you pay for. Thoughts anyone? And thank you all in advance for your feedback, I appreciate it.

True, but that's also why Verizon hasn't had a Nexus anything since. They burned that bridge.
Also, I'm up in Polar Bear land, so the finer details of the US telcoms slip by me occasionally.

I had both Spigen cases. I absolutely love the look and feel of the Neo Hybrid. However I can't say the same about the Slim Armor. I know people will disagree with me about the Slim Armor, my choice would defnitely be for the Neo Hybrid. Depending on where you live, you could get them on Amazon for the same price and two-day shipping if you are an Amazon Prime customer. No need to wait for slow eBay shippers.

A pair of Samsung Level On headphones!
Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Ok.. I'll bite. How?
Purchase the phone from Vodacom online I believe
What a hassle, if you order from AT&T, you don't even get the stock headphones.
I'm a little jealous of your provider now.

And ATT charge the most of all 4 here.
At least I get a headphone but its really cheap one that you may not miss.
Go with other carriers.

I was about as close as I could have come to changing carriers. Was on the phone with retention, they cut me a deal on my bill and made it possible to get the upgrade for $99 (with the Best Buy trade-in) and I didn't lose my upgrade for next month, so I stayed for another two years.

Ouch, sorry about that. T-mo at least gives me the standard samsung earbuds. Nothing special to crow about, but it's something.

I guess we just get effed over here in the US. I'm on Verizon, not only is the phone not released yet but early unboxings on youtube show that they removed the headphones as well. On top of that they removed the Samsung browser completely, if I didn't have unlimted data and 25% discount from my job I'd leave asap.

Pretty Sweet .. I wonder how the sound quality is ?
I've heard them at the best buy stores and I don't think the sound quality was that great. I mean they go for about $149 usd so if he got them for free I'd be all over it too. That's awesome.

Samsung had stock issues, should arrive next week. Based on reviews should be on a par with headphones like Beats rather than high-end like Bose and Sennheiser.

Very nice, this is what came with mine:
Someone told me that if you bought the Note 4 in store in the UK you could get these headphones too, has anyone managed it?
EDIT: After talking to the stores customer service, I have got the headphones for free too! They are being shipped for free now. That's £540 for the phone, £200 RRP speaker £300 RRP headphones, can get £200 combined for the set. I think I have done well here! £150 for my old phone and accessories and I've walked away with a £190 upgrade!

Hey,
Anyone else pre-ordered?
Just pre ordered mine, 10% for those who pre order before the 27th November, making it £629 which is a good price. Although you can buy them from the bay for £600 imported.
Still no word on release date just says December which is a bit annoying.
Also noticed its a dual sim phone (2nd sim tray used for sd card or sim) which is a nice added bonus, anyone else have some experience of how this works with HTC phones (i.e. can I use both sims at the same time for calls/texts?)
I've placed my preorder, has anyone had experience with HTC after sales support? It's either the U11+ or 2 XL for me and whilst I know the latter phone has had plenty of issues, I'm actually pretty happy with mine and am a stock/google fan anyway. Google have very good support whenever issues have come up; I've RMA'd a OG Pixel and Pixel C with no issue but am worried about buying from HTC directly. If it was via and fulfilled by Amazon I'd have no hesitation.

I've never had to use them (and have had several htcs) but I've heard some mixed reviews, some so they were really good and just swopped out the phone others have had issues.
You were in the same boat as me, but in the end the extra £300 for the 128gb pixel 2 xl wasn't worth it for me, the only big difference would be the software. I would love stock android but cant justify the price. I'm hoping something will be ported over but I doubt there will be much support for this device considering the very strange release strategy from HTC and not many people getting it.

Thanks for the reply! It's the bigger battery that's the main draw for me given my usage, though the £170 saving and dual SIM support are really nice bonuses too.
I'm hoping I'll be satisfied putting the ported Pixel Launcher on the phone, though how good is HTC with updates? I don't mind being behind Google but would hope for two years for major/flagship phones

Yer cant moan at the battery.
HTC aren't too bad with updates, for example Android 8.0 has just started rolling out to the htc u11 these past week or so. I would say they are on par with every other major OEM, but obviously not as good as google.
Ordered.. Shame no set date though At least apple launches have proper dates

I ordered it too, also wondering the date... I'm an impatient guy ahha
I ordered one too (though not from the UK site but the Rest of Europe one)! Let's hope for a delivery within 2017, that's the best we can hope for, I am afraid.

its the same site I believe? i.e. when you go to the uk site it then takes you to the eu store. Does for me anyway! confirmation email should be from [email protected]
Actually I have to pick Ireland in the country selector to the bottom left of the page and then, when trying to login to HTC club, it gives me two options. Ireland or Rest of Europe.

Strange, I'm pretty sure HTC will only have 1 warehouse doing the whole of Europe so hopefully shouldn't matter will still get the same time.
I hope we get the same time. I suppose the reason for the changes has to do with other reasons, like differences in charger plug etc.?
I asked support yesterday when it would ship - no reply yet :/
Pre Ordered one also. My first HTC phone ever.
Just perfect AND with a flat screen, what I have been waiting for.
Wish we had a date. Dec 2017 could be AFTER X-MAS
Maybe 3 weeks?
I'm from UK but I live in China and I preordered the translucent black variant of the phone here on the day it was announced, 02nd November. It was shipped out on 21st Nov and I received it today. I'll be posting pictures soon - just need some more posts here on XDA before I can post links!
So I'm not sure if it will be the same for Europe but here I received it exactly three weeks after preorder. Also the date on the back of the box says the phone was manufactured on 11/11/2017.

HTC China ship all of their products with one courier called SF Express. HTC shipped it at 5pm on 21st Nov with express delivery and I had it at 8am on 23rd Nov. Apparently HTC began manufacturing the translucent black variants here in China on 11th November and mine was sent out 10 days later from that date. Mine was, however, manufactured on 11th Nov.
Made my order on Monday too as I think current device meet my expectations and my needs more than anything else out there and would be successor of my ZTE Axon 7.
Hope being dispatched within first 10 days of December.

For some reason they decided to send the confirmation email to the paypal email address and not to the email that you used when you signed up at htc...
