Hi. After playing video games for almost 20 years now, we (a frind of mine and me) finally decided to create one by ourselves. We released the first version on google play store these days...
I hope everybody has a great time and a lot of fun with this game. For questions to technical details and other stuff i am available, of course, in this thread, or you can drop me a mail
Fly the dragon named Dracoo through the lovely 2d scenery in this casual game. Roast as many enemies as possible with your fiery breath. But watch out, they will try to harm you.

Steer Dracoo past all obstacles, stay clear of bats and other shady creatures and eat as many chilis as possible for your breath.
I've done a little level-editor too, to take away the pain of creating levels. If you like, you can try to create some nice levels and then send them to me Maybe, if you have some funny ideas, it will make its way to the full version of the game: http://dracoo-leveleditor.xsheetgames.com

I would love to get some feedback! Please tell me what you think.
We will release the full version with 45 Levels and 3 Levelpacks on March 31th.

Thank you very much. I hope everything will run smoothly. I once tried it on a xperia tablet s and encountered some problems. Please let me know if the latest performance updates helped. I would love to read your feedback on the overall user experience. There is still some time left for us to include the customers voice in the full version.

The game runs really smooth with no problems so far for me. Its really challenging but that might be because im so bad at games xD cute graphics as well may I suggest different 'types' of dragons or fireballs in the future?

I'm glad everything worked smoothly. We thought about different power ups with different effects and ammo (ice ball for example). We plan to deliver new levelpacks through updates later this year. We would include these new powerups there. Thanks for this suggestion. I will discuss it with my partner, but it seems logical to me. It would enhance the depth of the level design
Is the game too hard? Some people stated by now that it is a little too challenging. They haven't faced the first boss yet. He will be hard work to beat
When I was designing the levels, I had games like rayman origins or the gameboy classic parodius in mind. This games are very challenging too. I hoped, our levels can be beaten with less than 5 trys per level from the average casual player. To target all 3 eggs per level is very challenging indeed.
What is your opinion? Should we aim a little lower?
Maybe have a selection of 'easy', 'normal', and 'hard' levels?
COOL!!!
funny, cool !!
Awesome!, It kinda remind me space impact
looks soo cartoon pretty
Reminds me of Rayman Legends style.. EXCELLENT WORK!
I gotta hand it to you, the game got me hooked. Over and over again trying to get a full 3 star. Hahaha and I agree, it is challenging but that's what I find to be the charm here. When playing, you get this feeling that it's not that hard but everytime I failed I always go; "ugh, just a little more" or " damn, curse that dead end" lol but I always came back for more. Thanks

Thank you
Thank you very much. It is fun to make a game. But it is even more fun when someone actually is playing it. :fingers-crossed:
At the moment, we are drawing and designing the 3rd levelpack: Terror Forest We're going to put 3 free levels in the Lite version, of course. The full version will have 45 Levels (and we will enhance the gametime with additional levelpacks via updates). And the full version will be ad-free. I hate the fact that we had to put Ads in the lite version, sorry for that. But, at least the GameScreen itself and the TitleScreen remains ad-free. I would love to read more feedback from you.
I hope everyone has a great time with our game. And don't be shy: Please rate Dracoo Lite in the Google Play Store. :good: :good: :good: :good: :good:
Greetings from Austria

Beautiful!!!
Very cool game, run smooth and the graphics is very good. It is a little hard to play but it is also very very fun!!! :good:
Looks really nice, reminds me of Rayman Origins with Rayman being on one of those mosquito's.
I'll be getting this on Play Store.
Cool
Awesome
Runs smoothly on my Galaxy S2 (CM 10.1).
Nice ExtJS level editor too.
Can you give to us developers a overview of the geral game architecture ?
Do you use a SurfaceView in the game ? How you do it so smoothly ?

Thank you. I use the LibGdx framework for creating the game. They supply everything you need, from box2d physics simulations to application lifecycle handling. But, compared to cocos2d, it is more technical and you have to do more things by yourself. When it comes to performance and asset management, I bet I have done some things wrong (this was my first android app and my first game). But with every update, it becomes better . I wrote a small "history of prototypes" on our homepage a little while ago, where you can see the milestones we achieved with each version. But I stopped updating some versions ago, so the latest version of the game is not there. To run the game in your browser, you need the webGl plugin.
We plan to make some development and design-tutorials in the future (2-3 moth from now). Frankly, since we have dayjobs too, it is a matter of time. But I hope we find the time to walk you throw the tricky parts of game development. If you like to keep track, simply like our facebook page or check this forum post in the libGdx forum.
Why is it so smooth? Hm. Maybe because I went down an endless road, trying to tweak the performance. I came up with some pretty memory-saving ideas how to build the parallax. More on that topic will be covered in a seperate tutorial.
When you think now: Hey, why is it not smooth on my device? That is probably because of the HD graphics we used. Not every phone can handle this big graphics and animations without problems. Especially phones with 320x480 screens. But we are working on that.
Surface view: My understanding ist that LibGdx uses a GlSurfaceView under the hood, but usually you do not get in touch with that.
cool !
good work bro...
congratulations !!!
its ok to play

Good news everyone, (Voice of Professor Farnsworth)
I'm not sure if anybody around here remembers me, but I've been involved in this community as a developer releasing helpful things, back when xda-developers was actually about xdas Things like the romkoch, the nbh tool, the famous wm6 premium rom and more.
However, in the meantime I've joined a great company called "drahtwerk" and we're developing awesome games and apps. I thought maybe you guys could check out our latest release (it's free) and of course it would be great if you'd support the cause by rating it in the store and sharing it with your friends and family.
EDIT: oh yeah, talking about senior. join date 04/2004 nearly ten years!
Check it out on the Google Play store: Airbag Frank 3D

This looks awesome! Can't wait to try it!
Thanks guys, let me know what you think of the game. It's running our own engine and we're still having some incompatibility with certain devices. We've heard of Tegra GPUs not being able to run the game. If the game doesn't launch or crashes please send me a crash report.
Hey dutty!
I recently downloaded Airbag Frank 3D on my GNEX and I absolutely LOVE it!
It's amazing fun and challenging! Runs perfectly smooth too!
I'm about to support you and the company by purchasing the gold version.
Is it possible to transfer my progress to the gold version? Or do I have to begin all over again?
It's not that big of a deal if you can't transfer the progress because I can get it back easily
Amazing game once more and I look forward to any new releases and possible updates for Airbag Frank 3D
Those are awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words everybody In the meantime we've release several updates that improve compatibility and performance. So if it didn't work before, it's time to try it again.
BTW; Airbag Frank 3D was rated best game of july by AndroidPolice and several other news outlets. If you've got a mac, it's currently featured in the Mac App Store
We're already working on several new things!

DuttyThroy? Is that really you? Long time no see my friend.
Welcome back Dutty:good:
Very cool game. Played it for a while. Seems to be luck whether you make it 90ft or 3000ft. Perhaps you should have goal lines and a set amount of powerups to use to get to the goal... like 3 jumps or a combination of different devices/summons (animals?)
Pretty fun though. My boy really got a good laugh playing.

Loving the Game but is there support for more 3D glasses? As I have no Red/Cyan 3D glasses but loads of Colourcode 3D ones (Yellow/Blue)?
Sometimes Dollar Tree has hard-framed red/blue 3D glasses on one of the little islands near the registers. If you have this game and live near a Dollar Tree, might be worth checking. I picked up a couple pairs last time I was there, so I'm off to download this right now and get some 3D action.
Edit: works great, thanks!
Tried the game, I like it but i saw a little bug. I am running CM9 on my SGS3 if that would help. Looks like the the game fits the screen when I am playing, but not in scoreboard and shop.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fokbue23ugdwyi0/2012-08-21 18.30.36.png
I tried to play it on both my Epic 4G Touch (TouchWiz Roms as well as CM9) but regardless of the rom I use, it just crashes while trying to load. Same happens on my TF101 running on CM9 official.
Tried it on my HTC EVO 3D and the game is very smooth even on very high graphic settings.
Only bug I found is that the game doesn't always fit on the screen.
Also it would be nice if the game would support stereoscopic screen of EVO 3D.
Playing it on my gs3. Great game so far but still needs some work. I saw the screen size issue posted above but also the game crashes when I pick up a cupcake. Looking forward to improvements.
I love the game on my one x. Whats the name of the theme tune?
First of all, great game. I've played some games like this on the PC, and this is fun on my Sprint Galaxy S III. I "beat" (bought everything) it in a few hours on and off with a bit of "cheating" at the end.
Among the things I liked about it (this is not a complete list)
The graphics were very smooth and very nice.
I liked the sounds when you hit things.
Having to buy "power ups" gave it a nice goal to look forward to.
I liked that the red 5x coins were at the top, made me try and stay at the top more often.
The "Re-entry burn" is a nice touch. I wonder if that could be an achievement: "Hottest reentry" could be the farthest dropped before hitting anything.
Game play was simple, no complex controls.
Having a "Pause" button is really helpful.
I found a few issues with it...
Sometimes you can hit the "Play" button twice after a level. I found if I hold down play, then quickly lift up and press again, I get the double play. When this happens, the game freezes and you have to kill it.
If the phone goes to sleep, or you turn the phone off, the game freezes.
I had a difficulty getting more than 5,000F in one level, and quite often, I would get much less. I would always hit the green jello, and the level is over. The problem I have with this is that the bomb you can "buy" is 5,000F, so I found it's not really worth it to get. I would be fine without the green jello, but since you can replenish your fruit, the game would potentially last forever. I suggest lowering how many of them there are, or having the bomb cost less, or, if you shoot with 10 watermelon, you could get out of the jello, or something different. It was just annoying to hit it so often. I did like the cupcake, and that helped, but it still was annoying to get hit by the jello when small.
It's nice that you get a launch bonus, but I found if I want to rack up my money, I start a level, then lightly launch it so it doesn't go far, and I get about 1,000F, and it doesn't take long. Yeah, it's cheating, but I wanted to see what all the power ups were, and I didn't have a whole lot of time. I would suggest have a lower launch bonus, and a higher bonus for hitting things. I found it annoying that I could launch and go a bit and not get much more than if I just flubbed the launch.
I would also suggest a distance counter on the screen, and a height counter as well. I could only judge how far I went by the score, but I had to wait till the end to see how far I really went.
You could possibly add a "Child" setting that had double or triple the things that you could hit (less green jello too). The scoring could be less too, but I could see a child getting more fun out of just watching and shooting fruit every once in a while. Instead of a child setting, maybe have the amount of certain items be sliders so you could choose how difficult it would be with some templates for "Child", "Extreme", etc.
I may have missed it, but I didn't see anywhere where you could see your achievements unless you were signed into Feint. I don't do that, so I don't know what any of them are, or what my high score/highest altitude/longest distance are.
Again, thanks for a great game. I hope my feedback helps
Loved the game!! My highest score so far:
Thanks for the great feedback! knyque, thanks for the detailed post - the idea about cheating by just starting new games to rack up money is true. We'll fix that.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to release the latest update yet, but it's nearly finished. It contains a new monster the "psycho penguin" some cool new items like the magic donut and much more. We hope to have it out before christmas but things are so hectic right now I can't make a promise on that.
We've also just released our latest game called Aeon Beam, it's a visually stunning brain teaser: check it out Aeon Beam @ xda-dev
I love this game. I have been playing on my Nexus 7 for days now. Keep it up!

UPDATE: I have just released an update where you can unlock new balls to play with (that sounds so wrong) By collecting and spending crowns you can unlock new balls ranging from the US flag, to a bomb or a piggy ball .
You might remember thread from last week in which I developed a game without any prior game development experience or programming knowledge.
Now, I've created another game, this time, developed and shipped to the Play Store in under 5 hours. Here's the breakdown of the things done:
Put on paper the basic idea and look
Created the game layout in Photoshop
Created all the assets (platforms, ball, background, title screen, crown pickups)
Animated the assets in After Effects
Put everything together in C2 and created the gameplay and logic
Implemented Google Play leaderboards and achievements
Waste almost an hour on a stupid syncronization bug (different framerates = different restuls - was not using delta time)
Choose appropriate music and sounds and plug them in
Create all the promotional materials (screenshots, mockups, icons, etc)
Publish on Google Play
Since this is a technical forum I've listed my process before actually saying anything about the game.
Dumb Ball is a simple one-tap game where you have to keep the little ball on the moving platforms while collecting "crowns" and increasing your score. The gameplay mechanics are simple, but surprisingly a lot of fun and makes you want to "try again and again" as some of my friends put it. With the aesthetics I tried to follow a similar style to Monument Valley. While not even getting close to that level of quality and talent, I still believe the game looks quite nice and clean.
Here's the Google Play link

And some screenshots:
Edit: The game is now called Dumb Ball because I was stupid enough to write in the original game's description "graphic style similar to Mountain Valley" and Google pulled the plug on that store listing. Since then, I have just reuploaded the APK and changed the description. Same game, different name and I learned my lesson on not to mention other games' names in the description although I never intended to "impersonate" another game, as the policy states.
I would really love to hear your feedback on:
Performance
On a scale of 1 to 10 how fun do you believe it is
Is it too hard or too easy for you?
What would you improve?
Thank you for reading, and if you liked it please rate it
Hey,
1. So performance, no issues here runs great on my Lollipop OnePlus One...
2. Like it but makes me angry or sad sometimes when I fall out of the world (Want to throw my OnePlus out of the window but can't stop to play) hmmm changes after every round... 7 maybe more if it gets extended. Will show it my friends tomorrow and look what they tell me...
3. It's training I think, atm I can't get more then 20 Points so for the start its too hard for me but I think this switches after some time
4. Improvements? Don't know in which the game will go... Hm I will call it Ideas...
-Rewards like new theme, balls, effects. Maybe extra lifes?
-Don't know that yet if it is implemented: After some time a smaller path for the ball and at start a bit bigger one.
-A second control as an non touch option where the Motion sensor is used
-Branches so you could choose a second way
-Special Paths where the color changes or the ball gets faster or the path itself rounded edges or something like this ones.
-Sometimes the game removes the Path before it went out of the world it's only visual but want to say it...
Edit: And the Music toggle button don't work for me...
So definitely a great game and this in only 5 hours, I'm not a Dev but this is fast I think...

I'm really glad you like the game and that you found it fun I know it can be hard at times, but with a little practice you can get high scores. Right now my highest is 260 and there's a guy on the leaderboard with 311, so it's doable.
As for improvements, I was already thinking of adding stuff that you can buy with the crowns, and your suggestions are great.
Thanks again for downloading and for playing. If you could rate it on the playstore that would be awesome
I will definitely try this when I get the chance
nice game.
suggestion:
give it a RPG element. Add branches on which there are boosts and spells. Presumably there is a boss at every 50 crowns., which requires more than 50 crowns to get through it. The exceeding crowns can be found by completing dungeons. Spells that add ability to revive yourself near dying point, straighthen the path in a certain amount of time (who doesn't like a smooth path after all the Z turns) can also be found at the end of the dungeons.
In this RPG mode I think there should be room for extended playing time which means people can save and start the game again at their convenience. Falling is still fatal but not final.

OMG... This game is actually fun to play... Great idea?
I can see this idea being stolen by lager game developers once it is recognised...Hopefully you find a way to make money off of it before that happens.

This game is Awesome!! It has a neat stylized aesthetic that's reminiscent of Monument Valley. Definitely doesn't look like it was made in under an hour! I had to give it five stars! P.S, My high score after 15 minutes of playing is 45!

Some people did a score of over 600 in the leaderboards. I have no idea how skillful they are since I can barely reach a score of 200.
For an app that took 5 hours to create and publish, Im extremely impressed to see that the game itself is surprisingly fun to play and very smooth to use on a phone as old as the Sony Xperia SP. Great game! Wishing your future projects are a success! Cheers
This is probably a dumb question, but C2 do you mean Construct 2 ? If so is it as easy as I hear it is?
I have just released a new update! You can now unlock new balls by collecting crowns.

Yep, Construct2.
It is easy but not so easy. I mean, they give you the tools you need, but that doesn't make a game. You still have to learn how to use the tools properly.

I liked the game. The original idea of a hammer to beat the cockroaches. Even the cat helps to play. It is interesting to know what are the bonuses? I understand that they can be bought in the store?
Hi! I just tried your game.
I really love the visuals. Did you do the graphics by yourself?
Also congrats on the huge number of positive reviews. I'm interested in how you got so many people to review your game so quickly as It usually takes a pretty long time for me.
Now, two things I noticed that you might want to take a look at.
First, the top banner in the main menu is unusually small on my M8. Like really really small.
And the game lags a lot. It freezes for a second every two or three hits and that makes it unplayable.
Cheers!
Hi xantgames!
Thanks for Your reply!
Graphics was made by my wife. She is game designer and she very glad to hear such reviews Thanks!
I think, huge number of reviews is related to banner advertising campaign and asking users to write a review. But actually I'm also surprised by the number of reviews.
Top banner in main menu is not full wide to not overlay Google Play Games Log In / Out button. Maybe this is not the best layout...
Sometimes lags in the game are related to LeadBolt banner (it happened to me on some other devices). I just replaced it with RevMob banner. But I don't have M8 device. I would be very grateful if you would have tested the speed of the game again.
Cheers!

Hi apprising!
I tried your game again, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be any better. For what it's worth, I also tried it on a Nexus 7 (2012) where it seems to behave the same way.
I made a short video so you can see by yourself. If you look close enough you'll see the touch recordings.
Cheers!

Cheers!

Cool game and good quality graphics.
I read previous post and you said about advertising company. It would be nice if you tell about this more details. Which company did you use for that and how long? How much was the budget of advertising big or small? Is the advertising price back to you or you are still in minus? Thanks much for the answers.

Thanks, TOEgameStudio!
I'm beginner in this. So I think You should not listen to my advice. I tried the next:
- Banner Ads on AppBrain ($500 in 5 days; about $100 per day). They take the money for installs. You can change cost per install starting from $0.20
- Posting to free and paid groups in social networks
- Also I used to ispreadnews.com to send review requests to bloggers. Now I'm waiting for answers from them.
So advertisement budget is small ($1000 - $1500) and it is still in minus.
Now I'm trying new ways game promotion.

Fantastic! =) I love this game!!!
Install the update. After the upgrade, the game has become even more interesting. I think this is the best game in its genre. Bonuses make the game more addictive. Add more bonuses. Will you continue to develop the game? Excellent work.:good:

Thank you for your post! It is under development, we are working hard on this game, you could send email to us about your ideas, feature request, experiences and issues! It is based on the FreeCiv but it is MMO and it is designed to mobile; the rule set is continuously evolving based on the players feedback.

Well... My first offer is: I think you should really change "Offered By: Golden Age of Civilizations" in Google Play There should be your name, not the game.

Oh, we will establish a company with the name of the game soon, so that every registration and domain name based on the prospective company name...
Do you want me to translate for you this game description for Google Play into Russian? (for free)
This game is a great idea!
I understand it’s still in development, so I have few suggestions:
- I think the basic development of the cities is too slow. We hit times like 1 day or more only to build the 1st building. It would be more motivating if we could do the basic buildings in few hours.
- On the other hand, for the research, it’s a bit weird that we can discover new knowledge instantly as long as we have science points. I understand that the time to gather these points = time to discover this knowledge, but it makes the evolution the civilization a bit weird: Nothing happened during decades (because the player didn’t take care of his science points) and then, the civilization go under a major science breakthrough discovering the wheel, horseback riding and iron working at the same time (because the player noticed he had a huge amount of science point to spend).
- The unit movement needs more fluidity
Keep the good work !

Making unit movement more fluid will make the animation slower; as I know it terrible irritates the users
I like the unit movement animation, when are shown the phantom of the unit path. Alas, it's not the task for the free indie game, I suppose

UI improvement
I understand, that you are focusing on features, but you really should spend some time in an apealing UI. This is really necessary because many users will look just 1 time at your app and in this moment, they have to be caught by a nice design.
The images don't have to be "the best drawing images of all time", but they have to be similar with all other assets used in the game and share one design. They have to build up a whole thing together. For now, your UI and the Game-World are seperated thigns, they don't look like one thing.

You are right but it is a hobby project and we have no time to do all task at once.
We've just finished a border drawing feature! It is a huge first step toward the complex territory based actions, like see everything inside border, bound resources of the cities must be on an owned tile and military units of a nation at peace with the territory owner are not allowed.
Waiting for final version
Its an awesome game. As i downloaded i was skeptic of the game play as the name suggested it must be something like Ages of Empire kind of thing. But beta version proved to be a huge fun.
I even recommended to my mates & but still waiting for their feedback. So just waiting for the final version now. I hope its better than it sounds, cuz market is saturated with this genre games. So thank you developing team and I hope you guys have mega success with this game.

Introduction:
Hello everyone!
Welcome to our presentation of our recent project "Escape". In the Platformer game Escape, your goal is to solve the riddles of each Level and reach the goal as fast as possible.
Game Description:
(Too long? Watch this video/trailer: https://youtu.be/5-ZA7a08bXg)
Singleplayer:
In the singleplayer-mode, there are 3 stages containing 20 level each. Every stage excels by their own characteristics and features, which the player can use to pass the levels. Be it ventilators, which carry you through the level, platforms, which transport you to other layers, or teleporter, which take you to other places. There, you will also encounter dangers like holes, spikes and lasers, which you have to avoid to get to the end of the level.
Every stage has their own tutorial, which shows you the features of the associated stage. Therefore you will be very prepared for the game!
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer-mode contains duels vs other Players on 3 stages with 5 levels each. When winning, you earn points and push yourself up the leaderboard. Duel with the whole world! (The multiplayer-mode will be enabled, when the tutorials have been played.)
Take note: The multiplayer-mode is more difficult than the singleplayer-mode, so it would be wise to complete the singleplayer-mode first, or at least play until you are accustomed to the game-mechanics.
TL;DR: If you are searching for a smartphone game with a lot of content, challenging levels and replayability, then escape should be your game!

FAQ:
Q: Which Android versions are supported?
A: Android 4.1 and up.
Q: How can I unlock the special levels/skins?
A: A special level/skin will be unlocked when you have earned all stars of the associated stage.
About us:
We are an Indie Game Development Team of three students. Escape represents our first big project, which took us 6 months of development-time. The game was developed with the Unity3D-Engine for mobile devices. This was also the first time we have used the development platform Unity.
Thank you for reading our presentation. We hope you will look into our game and enjoy it as much as we do.
Feel free to contact us and give us improvement suggestions.
PS: We appreciate if you'd rate this thread and our game.

Pretty good
So far, a pretty good game. I really like the design of the game. The levels can get quite challenging, but thats what makes it fun for me . The game runs smoothly on my S6.
I gonna test the game further and update my thoughts on it.

Done.
I really have to say, after playing some hours, the game becomes better and better. Each level is unique and the features of each world ( Im currently in the first level of world 2, but played all tutorials) are also really nice. The learning curve for the first world was good, so i got accostumed to the game mechanics pretty well.
Thanks for this game!

Special Skins
Dear developers,
do i need to have the special skins in order to get 3 stars in some of the levels? (For example, when I have all stars in World 1, is the special skin 1 needed for world 2 or 3 to get all stars?
If yes thats okay, because at the moment im trying to get all stars at world 1, but its pretty damn hard. =D
Pretty good games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the design and the challenge of each level! Really nice <3
Thank for sharing!!!
