I've created this thread to merge all the information i know about the new model of goophone: Goophone I5S
Specification:
- Dual Core MTK MT6577 1.0 Ghz Processor
- 4 Inch oneglass 854x480 Pixel display
- 512MB RAM
- 8GB Internal Storage
- 5.0 MP Rear Camera + 1.3 Front Camera
- Android 4.1.2
This a cheaper version of Goophone i5 Lite being the main differences the display, camara and internal storage.
The price of this phone is: $149.99
As soon as i get it home i'll post an tutorial how to root it and how to install google play.

HOW TO ROOT IT
- Download this Batch
- Turn on USB debug
- Connect your phone to you pc via USB with the phone turned on.
- Run the RunMe.batch
- Select normal mode
- Wait until its rooted.
It will restart and then make sure that you accept the SU Request.
HOW TO FIX BLACK SCREEN ISSUE and increase Battery life
Open the build.prop file located inside system folder, scroll to the bottom and add this lines

HOW TO FIX 3G
- Download APN Manager Pro and Titanium backup pro (must be this apps.)
- With Titanium Backup set the APN Manager as System App
- Open the APN Manager
- Set up your carrier settings
- And that is it

Tutorial:
Download the flash tool
Extract it
Extract the stock rom
Open the SP Flash Tool
Load the scatter file from the ROM folder.
Turn off your phone
Press download button on the SP flash tool
Connect the phone via USB
The bars will start to progress. Wait until they finish and a green circle will pop up.
And that's it! You have now installed the stock software again.
USEFUL INFORMATION
1 - Switch Operating System Code: *#12369#*
Imput this code at dailing interface, the phone will switch operating system between original Android and iOS Theme.
2 - Access Factory Mode Code: *#*#3646633#*#*
This code is availble for most phones with MTK chipset, but please use this code carefully, because if you changed some referance, it will affect phone's feature.
3- Hold Home Button 3 seconds
When you hold the home button 3 seconds, the phone will appear on the screen three virtual buttons.
4- Double Click Home Button
Double click the home button, the screen will appear the apps you opened recently.
5- Hold Home Button 15 seconds
If your phone can't charging, or the system is dead, hold the home button for 15 second, the phone will restore to default factory status.

in the goophone.hk website, it says the i5s has 1 gb and is capable of 8800score in antutu.. it also says that the screen is the same as goophone i5 960x ...
it also says that is running a much smoother UI with 4.1.2 android..
but all the websites that you posted are selling a less powerfull i5s..
any ideas?

I can confirm that the i5s screen is not same as i5 because my i5s bricked and I have loaded the i5 rom and now, I lost the display.....the phone boots and you can hear the sound but on the screen I can only see different colors like rainbow. I need the stock rom to fix my phone...

Yes I was able to load Play Store and rooted the phone. Just connect your phone to your PC and copy the play store .APK file from your PC to your phones internal storage. Open file explorer on your phone and install it. Here is the procedure to root your goophone:

I'm in the same boat...
I've got it since a week (bought at android-sale, ).
The phone itself is really well made, excellent build quality.
The screen is really brilliant, and all is functionnal with a good reactivity and fluidity.
The iPhone theme is really good (I also got a real iPhone 5 so I can compare both )
Unfortunately, there is a lot of chinese crap... and no Google Play
I've read all other topics about others GooPhone but I think we can't flash any ROM from these other model (Y5, I5, ...).
I'm ready to test any compatible ROM

Don't uninstall any.... cause thats how I bricked my phone. Just wait for a STOCK rom to be available than you can do whatever you like. I already know how to load a rom on this phone but I can't find the STOCK ROM anywhere.

Yes, I have tried that but nothing....if you hold the power button for 15 seconds it will turn your phone off. If you hold Vol - + Power Button, it will show you recovery menu but in the recovery menu you can select options using Vol - and Vol + but you cannot execute any command ... I have tried power button and home button nothing works. Thank you for your assistance.
Note: I did try holding the HOME button for 15 seconds nothing happens.

Later, I will upload the drivers and step by step procedure.... how to load a rom on Goophone i5s. It needs a special flash tool to be used in order to flash or load a rom on this phone. Since, my phone is bricked, I have tried many different things, I have even installed rom from Goophone i5, since both model have different display, nothing shows on the screen except color like rainbow. The phone boots up fine its just that display wont work. If I press Vol - or Vol + button I can hear the volume going down and also going up. I desperately need the STOCK rom. Is there a way to extract the STOCK ROM from a functional Goophone i5s?

yes. works actually really well. I get a quick fix with g maps.
to my surprise the phone does not have 512mb ram as it was stated on android-sale, but 1gb!

On the end of the day i will post here the stock software so you can reflash it if the things go bad.
Things i already tested.
- none of goophone y5 ROMS work on this model.
- none of goophone i5 lite ROMS/Firmware work on this model
- removing some chinese apps can brick your phone.
Things i will made shortly
- slide to unlock in english on all languages
- slide to poweroff in english on all languages
- iLauncher - iOS like
- Delete all the chinese apps
- Install al google services
- Fix the taskbar background
Then i will compile it on a new ROM and i will put it here so you can all download it

So I just put the .img files onto the root of the internal memory? Then what?
How do I flash the img files? Tried Droid explorer, nada.
I've done the same... but my tablet rejects the updated.img file as invalid and offers its deletion
I think i got it going into recovery mode:
HOLD the Down arrow key and Press the Power button (connect it via usb to a computer prior to do this) now the screen is still black but the computer will try to install usb driver for it ... where is the usb driver ?? LOL
Hello, everybody!
I've been hunting for information about this tablet for some time and decided to stop leeching info and share what I got so far (not much but could be helpful). My primary goal isn't really a flashy ROM (no pun intended, neither about flashing nor adobe flash ), but a rooted device.
Here's what I know:
First of all, my tablet is sold by a different name, but is essentially the same device as next 3, probably a generic Chinese tablet. It is called Prestigio MultiPad PMP3084B:

All software should be completely compatible between these two devices, as far as I know.
As you can see, Prestigio has recently updated the firmware to 2.1.2. It still has a lot of bloatware (fring, facebook, etc) and cannot be rooted by usual tools, but includes SlideMe app market and an updated book reader (I have used it for a couple of days now and not much is changed from the previous build). If you nextbook users want to try a different firmware, you could try this one (or at least use it in future ROM cooking).
For some reason the links on the main Prestigio website don't work, so here are the links with working files:

The most useful thing for us should be the instructions and tools for flashing. The instructions given in the .doc files work 100%, both driver installation and flash procedure are fully explained, so be sure to check it out.
Another useful thing I found are the instructions for making a custom rooted ROM for rk2818 devices, found at XXX
I haven't had the time to try those out, but I found some info about people who made it work on various rk2818 devices.
Lets make this thread useful to others, share our experiences and try to unlock the bloody thing.

I'm glad to join your initiative, hopefully we can achieve something in this thread. Just one small correction: the screen is 8.4'', which is important as it makes this tablet stand out from generic 7'' tablets.

Hello I have a Prestigio PMP3084B whixh seems to be based on the same hardware as NextBook Next3. PMP3084B even has a secondary interface which looks exactly as the one on the Next3.
I'm trying to root my device, but had no luck yet. If this Next3 got rooted maybe there is a chance for me too. Any ideas?
But Prestigio has just release a newer Firmware Build than the Next3 ... i have saw the ROM on Odys Genesis and it's a better interface than the others two

I saw you wonderfull works, but i just want to pointed out that the Next3 firmware is only on build 1.3.23 the others two: Prestigio and Odys
are at Android 2.1.2 build 1.3.34 and they got a better interface than thsi Next3

No ONE has got Permanent ROOT except your wonderful work, but just that there are newer build than Next3 if you can root it and put a working market then it's a great of both world ... hope fully one of the other two will put out Froyo for this device ... Thanks again for you hard work ... keep it up ...

ill have to google them sorry for being pissy having some problems, didnt meen to direct it twards you you said there identical as far as hardware goes? have you tryed to flash thows imgs to the device? dose it take or say hell na? i havent the foggiest as to how to take some thing elses firmware and make it work when i have some more time ill look into it i used a custom kitchen script built from a guy from another android device and used my decripted system.img before adding the mods and by luck i got it to go with out a hitch if u want let me know i can send ya what i have and let you take a look at it

1.Please download root file from the link above.
2.Go to settings-developer options-click USB debugging.
3.Connect the phone with computer,turn on usb device.
4.Click the file you download from the link TPSparkyRoot.bat
5.Your phone will restart first time,after the phone start finish(until you see the unlock),click enter in the window of TPSparkyRoot.bat.
6.The phone will restart second time,still the same as first time we did.Then start third time,same as we did in last two times.Click enter then phone was rooted.
7.You will see two more app was installed in your phone that means root phone successfully.
After successfully rooted, it will install root explorer.apk Chinese version which is rather useless for installing Market because it's all in Chinese. Thus, you need to download this "ES File Explorer" in order to put Google Play into the system folder. People who have a problem when installing Google Play by using apk, for example: Error processing purchase [DF-BPA-13]
Here is how to install a new and working Google Play Store:
1. Download "Vending.apk" from the same mediafire folder above.
2. Copy Vending.apk to \system\app\ folder in your phone by using ES File Explorer in root explorer mode with system file mounted.
3. Change permission of Vending.apk to Read/Write for Owner; Read for others (rw-r--r--)
4. Shutdown your phone.
5. Switch on your phone, you will see Google Play Store app, and Enjoy !

0. How To Flash Haipai Noble I9220 Firmware On YouTube By Angelobiz
1. Before upgrade to this firmware, remember to backup all your apps using My Backup or Titanium Backup so that we can restore those apps later.
Download ADB driver if you have not installed it ( Tested on Windows 7 )
You must have debug usb active in your phone. this driver need for use adb command example for root script or use MTP function.
2. Download firmware + flashing tool + drivers from here: May 7 Firmware With New System.img
OR Only Driver For Haipai I9220: Drivers
3. Unrar the firmware, turn off your phone and take the out battery, then plug the phone into your PC.
4. Install the driver from the firmware folder that you unrar before, then plug out the phone.
5. a) Go to Flashtool folder and run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
b) Choose Factory Database --> Setup data source file: "MTK_DATABASE.mdb"
c) Choose File --> Open download agent file: "MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin"
d) Choose Scatter File: "MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" in Firmware folder.
e) Choose the figure same as the picture: SmartPhone MPD.jpg, which can be found in Firmware folder.
6. Make sure the phone turned off and the battery was taken out. Click Start All and plug your phone into the PC then wait about 5-10 minutes for the flashing process to finish ( Write OK ! ).
7. After it is done, we are good to change the IMEI. However, before that try to turn on the phone to see whether the phone is working or not.
8. If everything is ok, excepted IMEI was missing, download IMEI Changer Tool from here: IMEI Changer For Mtk6575
9. Unrar, install the program and run SN_STATION, which can be found on your desktop. Follow the instruction in the Chinese manual, but we only need to follow the picture in that manual.
The file "Modem Database" and "AP Database" is in firmware folder. You need to choose exactly the file that you see in the picture.
10. Write down two IMEIs on the back of your phone ( you need to take the battery out to see it ).
11. Again turn off your phone and take the battery out, then plug the phone into your PC, but this time we need to put the battery back in very quickly as soon as we see:
"COM port searching and preloader handshake ok" on SN Writer Log.
11. Wait until "Write Result Indicator" becomes green, then the IMEI has changed successfully.
OR you can try to change your IMEIs by using ZOPO IMEI ( Thanks to colouriste )
1. REMOVE SIM CARD(S) FIRST !
2. Check "Dual Imei"
3. Type in original IMEI #'s 1 & 2 and then
4. Click "Write"

I just found out earlier that I totally forgot about it .
Just extract that file you will get system.bin then delete system.zip and start to flash the firmware normally. ( Booting up will take about 3-5 minutes after it is done ).

Hi I would like to update some information about this phone,
1. The resolution of the screen is 800x480.
2. The original battery with 2800mAH capacity is so so, normal usage about 1 -2 days. On the battery stated that the cell made in Japan, yet finished in China.
3. The phone comes with the case with Samsung logo on it, together with a screen protector (not really good).
4. Additional infomation:
a) The front camera is on the left hand side, which is quite bad, because the Galaxy Note's is on the right side.
b) 3.5mm audio port is very depth, I have no idea why, so normal headphone or earphone like Beats Monster,for example, will be loose. But we still can use the one comes with the phone.
c) Camera is 8Mp and the picture looks quite nice if there is enough light.
d) It runs very smooth without any issues.
e) There is no touch pen.
f) Android 4.0.3 without Google Play or Market, Youtube, Google Map.
g) The camera sometime has a noise, like tac tac, when the apps need to use it ?!
At the end ? I still like it and I will try to update other good and bad points later if I can find any

h) After a long usage, the phone using original rom sometime can't rotate the screen even the "auto rotate option" was on.
--> Solution: Remove the battery and put in back in 30s, the phone will be functional as normal.

If any vendor claims it is so, what they are referring to is that it has both a 'normal' cpu plus a graphics chip. This is normal and its not the same as dual core!
Neither is the display qHD, as that would be 960x540. This device is 800x480. The display is... mediocre. I don't find the low density to be an issue, but a grainy texture is visible on light areas, e.g. the background in the Messaging app. Colour accuracy is also pretty bad: you get what you pay for.
FWIW I arrived here by googling DF-BPA-13 as I have the same issue. My temporary solution is to load apks onto the microsd on my old phone, then install those through "File Manager"

@zbeyuz: The picture I linked above is from the link you provided in your first post. The first line of the results on the left hand screen shows "Number of cores: 1". Further the vendor correctly lists the chipset as the Mediatek MTK6575. Googling this might bring you (eventually!) to Mediatek's product page for this chipset. You can be sure that if it were actually dual core, the manufacturer would want to tell you about it: they mention no such thing.
Something I noticed while browsing chinese phone websites was that different sellers would provide different specifications for the same devices. Some would claim that a chip was dual core, by counting the presence of a separate main processor and graphics processor as if it was 'dual core'), and some would claim higher chip speed, e.g. 1GHz main processor + 500mhz graphics processor = 1.5GHz total. This is misleading and nothing more than a sales tactic.
It's a shame there's so much misinformation, the vendor I purchased my Haipad from marketed it as having an AMOLED screen, which it plainly doesn't.
As for ROMs, I'm gonna get stuck in to some ROM cooking once my exams are over, but that won't be for another month. In the mean time, I sure would appreciate any tips on getting root. To save anyone checking, SuperOneClick doesn't work.
Additional info on the device:
- Screen is capable of detecting 5 simultaneous multitouch points
- (In the UK at least) Network location does not work. Google maps cannot find my location from cell towers, or from my Wifi. GPS does work however.
- My device came without Android market installed, and as mentioned above, does not work once it is installed.
- Either the proximity sensor or the light sensor (top left by the front camera) flashes faint red constantly when the screen is on. Not a big issue but slightly distracting. The values reported by the prox sensor are just 0 and 1, no middle ground.
- The light sensor reports only 3 light levels: 160, 1200 and 2600. This makes automatic backlight pretty rubbish.
- The speed of the phone is fine - I will add some benchmarks later. Right now it's a pain in the butt since I can't get the benchmark apps from the market.
- WiFi signal seems weaker than I'm used to - my reference devices are my desktop PC, my Fujitsu ST5112 Win7 tablet, my (retired) HTC Desire, and my girl's Samsung Galaxy Y Pro and Asus Win7 Ultrabook. These all received moderate to good WiFi signal in my room from my WNDR3700 N router, all capable of streaming video at this distance. The Haipad on the other hand shows weak signal in the notification bar, and subjectively it is much slower than when it is downstairs nearer the router, a bit of a disappointment here.
- Lots of info on the device is available by starting the "EngineerMode" activity belonging to the "EngineerMode" package. This can be done by making a homescreen shortcut with a third party launcher (eg Nova), and choosing to add an activity shortcut. I recommend only look, don't modify any settings in case you break something!
- I don't know if it's just me but I find the overscroll elasticity way too 'loose'. If I flick a list hard and it hits the end, it takes a long time for the list to settle into the correct position. I look forward to being able to tweak this...
- The battery seems to charge quite slowly. I know it's large so getting to full charge would take longer than with a standard battery, but I am used to large batteies - I used a 2200mAh battery in my HTC Desire and I'm pretty sure it charged faster (using the same charger). Of course a factor in this will be that I have had the device active with the screen on almost constantly, so a lot of power is being diverted to that.
- My phone is capable of connecting to my network (t-mobile)'s proper 3G service, but seems to sometimes choose a 2G service instead, even when there is just as good 3G signal.
Will update this with more as I think of them.
zbeyuz, you say your camera is on the left, I presume you mean the front camera? the main/rear camera is right in the middle.

However, last time, when I tried to put on the Galaxy Note's case, the main camera didn't fit in the right position of the case. Maybe, because the screen was bigger than the real Galaxy Note's, I think ?
Update: The default browser of phone ran quite fast even there was a low wireless signal, but the browser didn't have back and forward button, is that right ?

This is from my seller and it works.
1.Please download root file on
www.t-kstore.com/4.0root.rar
2.Go to*setting-developer options-click USB debugging
3.Connect the phone with computer,turn on usb device.
4.Click the file you download from the link TPSparkyRoot.bat*
5.Your phone will restart first time,after the phone start finish(until you see the unlock),click enter in the window of TPSparkyRoot.bat.
6.The phone will restart second time,still the same as first time we did.Then start third time,same as we did in last two*times.Click enter,then phone was rooted.
7.You will see two more app was installed in your phone,that mean root phone successfully.
After successfully rooted, it will install rootexplorer.apk Chinese version which is rather useless for installing Market because it's all in Chinese. You should be able to find Filexpert.apk from the web, and install it.
Here is how to install Google Play Store:
1. Download Vending.apk from http://downloads.androidadvices.com/apks/Vending.3.3.12.apk
2. copy Vending.apk to \system\app\ folder in your phone by using Filexpert in RW mode
3. change permission of Vending.apk file to Read/Write for Owner; Read for others
4. shutdown your phone.
5. switch on your phone, you will see Google Play Store app, and enjoy!

Same instructions as before, just extract the archive and run TPSparkyRoot.bat with your phone connected by usb cable, and USB debugging mode enabled. If you wish you can disable USB debugging mode once this process is done.
Beware that the play store I included is the mod version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582422, to allow you to access apps without region restrictions. In future we can properly set the phone's region in build.prop should remove the need for this temporary fix. That's for another day..

There are different custom ROM's & root methods for the K860 & K860i. Most of the root methods & ROM's are compatible with both the K860 and K860i. Read the full thread to be sure.

I did some research on how to root it.
I found some steps on this Chinese website.
What I understand from it is you have to do the following steps to root:
- Set the phone to USB debugging in it's settings
- Make sure drivers are installed and the phone is recognized well by the phone PC software
- Close all the PC phone software applications
- Make sure no other android or smart/USB-device is connected except for the phone itself
- Download this file: root files, download link is also below in the attachment.
- Unzip it and launch the .exe (executable file) with the Chinese characters (should be first .exe in directory)
- The shell/CMD should start the root process
- The phone will automatically restart, don't touch it or any button, don't interrupt the shell program!
- Now after the reboot of the phone you should press any key on your keyboard when asked
- The shell program should continue, the phone will restart again!
- Again press any key to continue and wait for the shell program to reboot your phone for the third time (this can take some time, be patient!)
- When rebooted the "Operation was successful" message should appear in the shell program
- Now your K860 is rooted! Look for the root app in your phone to confirm. If rooting didn't work, try this process again
- Also update the Superuser or superSU app & binaries

Would you know if the Android UI is in Chinese? Right now I have the phone for sale on eBay because as far as I can tell, it's not going to work on AT&T or T-Mobile 3G (or more) in the US.

Yeah, it's only compatible with GSM Tri-band or maybe Quad-band. But WCDMA is only operating at the 2100MHz band (3G). So I guess mobile surfing will probably work but calling (2G) won't work in the US.
Default UI is Chinese, but it should have English in the settings also and maybe even Vietnamese.

Yes, confirmed, it works perfect for me.
And I`m agree with you, magnetometer isn`t big problem, but it work fine in test, fails the app compatibility, I think it´s a rom fail and it will be solved with updates.

PD: You must activate gapps by changing the permissions in /system/ by default google apps are prohibited in china.

So I'll have to enable 775 (rwx-rwx-rw) permissions in that folder?
guys, i am based in china and thought about this phone or the haier x5 pad511.
if the ui is also working in english i ld get it. am just worried lenovo wont release a JB update and if i root it (i have never rooted anything besides a bag of marshmallows) i loose any functionality. is there a JB rom? the miui is pretty ok.

I think yes, you must download gmail.apk, play store, maps.apk, etc, second you must copy and paste with root explorer in/system, and at last open the permissions of any lenovo apk in /system and put the same permissions in google apks.

The stock OS has an option to use an English UI. Market and some other Google Apps might not yet be installed.

yeah thanks i nearly forgot i read it proximately 3 posts prior :angel: anyway, i wanna know if theres an option fro easy market apk install, i hope i dont have to root or anything i thought i can just put market as apk on the sd card and install it.
btw. is the UI great or does it make sence to find a miui jelly beans... i m not sure if lenovo does code a JB
I don't really think there is a way without root for the Lenovo.

recently i bought Samsung i5503 (Galaxy 5) and i took more than two weeks to be able to use android on my handset
so i decided to share what i got with u .let’s start
U must move your data from internal memory to external memory
there r two method
The First :
1. ensure your handset “Galaxy 5″ is set to use 24-hour format
(applications-> Settings-> date and time -> Use 24-hour format
2. launch the Phone-pad
3. enter the following
*#272* the follow it with the time on the phone (4 digits) then follow it with #
example, the time on my phone now is 15:33 hence I shall enter *#272*1533#
4. the phone shall display a new window
5. select “XSG” and hit “install”
the Phone shall reload and your “Market Apps” icon which be there
this method didn’t work with me but it works with some friends of mine
The Second Method

What I understand form it is you have to do the following steps to root:
- Set the phone to USB debugging in the settings
- Make sure drivers are installed and the phone is recognized well by the default phone PC software

- Make sure no other android or smart/USB-device is connected except for the phone itself.
- Download this file: root files
- Unzip it and launch the .exe (executable file) with the Chinese characters (should be first .exe in directory). Launch it with Administrator privileges.
- The shell should start the root process.
- The phone will automatically restart, don't touch it or any button, don't interrupt the shell program!!
- Now after the reboot you should press a key.
- The shell program should continue, the phone will restart again!
- Again press a key to continue and wait for the shell program to reboot your phone for the third time (this can take some time).
- When rebooted the "Operation was successful" message should appear in the shell program.
- Now your K860 is rooted! Look for the root app in your phone to confirm. If rooting didn't work, try this process again.
I want to note that I'm not responsible for any bricked phone by using this root process! I didn't do it myself yet, so it's all at your own risk!
Also backup all data before rooting the phone!
Because I don't have this phone at the moment I can't try to root it just yet. So if anyone got it rooted using this method, let me know!

I've just created this thread to merge all the goophone i5 information in just one post. This way it will be easier to all goophone i5 users to post doubts answers and eventual software updates/ROMS.
I've both of goophones (Y5 and I5) and i'm happy with them.
But there are some problems with goophone i5 stock software.
Problems detected on the stock rom that need a fix
- Can't recieve or send MMS. FIXED
- 3G network and Data Connection don't work. FIXED - See Below
- Google apps can be installed. Google play won't download apps (Error 906 - com.google.process.gapps stoped). FIXED - See Below
- Not all language strings are translated. English is ok.FIXED
- Some of stock apps are in Chinese (Weather, Maps, App Store) FIXED - Just delete the APKS from system/app
- Some apps are there just there to fill the launcher. They don't have any utility (Passbook, Games Center, etc). But they are removable in system/apps/ FIXED
- Can't delete contacts. You just can add or import existent Vcard. If you press cancel the apk will give you an error and crash. FIXED - Settings -> Email, Contacts, Calendar -> Delete All Contacts
- When you delete call history the apk will give you an error and crash. But the history will be deleted. FIXED
- When you change the language, the apk will give you an error. But the language will be changed. FIXED
- Poor contact image quality during phone call. The image is loaded but have a awful quality. FIXED
- When you recieve a message it will be kept on the lock screen, but it only shows the number not the name of the person who sent it to you. FIX NEEDED
- Sometimes when you slide it to silence using the Mute Button the software will get crazy and will change the profile from mute to sound in a loop. FIXED on the last ROM
- Can't do video calls. There is no option to make it and when you recieve one, the phone won't let you answer it and it will crash the phonecall.FIXED

Android Version: 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
Access to the Factory Hardware test
- Power off the phone
- Press Power Button + Volume up [+]
This phone comes rooted from factory so, if you want to have access to the clockworkmod:
- Power off the phone
- Press Power Button + Volume down [-]
The clockworkmod is in chinese but is easy to understand.
1- Reboot System now
2- Install zip from sd card
3 - Wipe data / Factory Reset
4 - Wipe Cache
Last - Advanced (To wipe battery stats and dalvik cache)
How to change boot logo to Apple logo
Go to the system/media and you'll find 4 zip files with name bootanimation.zip, shutdownanimation.zip, bootanimationIphone.zip and shutdownanimationIphone.zip
Just rename the original ones to bootanimationGP.zip and shutdownanimationGP.zip and delete the word Iphone from the others.
Easy way: Make a phonecall to the number *#0066# and boot will be changed from goophone logo to apple logo
How to install google apps
Download and Unzip the file
Copy all the files from the folder to system/app/. Change the permissions following the next image:

Goophone I5 with H2000+ Rom

wow sounds great but I killed my pre-installed rom because of wrong SU-rooting...
I'm looking for a complete new rom which is fully Google-ready (GApps, Market,...).
Until now I have the rom from the H2000+ installed but there are problems with the WIFI & Bluetooth connection.
(more I didn't test for now)
So when I try to start one of them activating, the connection will try to do something... but the only thing what happens is that the LED-Flash starts to blink...
-> That means.... sh... I can't do anything...
I also tried to flash the H9300+ rom but nothing happens during boot -> also back for now to H2000+ waiting for a new Rom for I5.
Or has anybody an idea, which Phone has near the same components and an Android-Rom exists?

What exact dimension does the i5 have? Is it 1:1 like the iphone 5? I'm considering buying a goophone but there is also an alternative called zophone which claims to be an exact iphone copy dimension wise.
Regarding 3G: the phone supports wcdma 850/2100, maybe your carrier isn't compatible?

The goophone is exactly the same size that iphone 5, the color is exactly the same.
the zophone if i were you, i didn't buy it. It has a lot of problems. Some websites are considering about take it out of selling.
Be sure that you buy a goophone. Goophone I5 has more support. And it's better. It has problems on the software, but i hope that they develop a new rom soon in order to fix some bugs of it.
For the previous version (Goophone Y5) there are some ROMS that improved the phone performance. So i think that on this one there will be much more considering the hardware

You don't need that! just go to your external card and you will se a file named with goophone-i5-0107-f-001.zip.
That is the stock rom for you goophone i5.

Yes I have format my SD CARD:crying:.
I haven't access to the software. I can only enter on recovery mod or rebooting the phone, but after the swipe on the main screen, the phone is empty, without icon, only black screen.

All you need to do is to Wipe Data / Factory Reset and the stock software willl be replaced by your current rom.
Don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache after or before the data wipe.

Hi I'm back again...
Thank's all for the Help!
So I tried and tried and tried and at least I installed the Rom from the video at my second post of this thread.
I didn't really know where I could find the Rom (from the video and the orig one) because I had the same problem as tancrazio.
But when you watch the video and pause it when the guy selects the rom - just use google and search and you will find the Rom on some chinese sides.
(Orig: goophone-i5-0107-f-001.zip, Video: goophonei5-0123-f.zip).
Now... all is fine exept Calendar... This one crashes every time, when the system tries to sync it whith the Google-Account.
Maybe I'll deactivate the Loader and use Apex - the Def is sooooooo slow and Apex is much faster and you also have more settings for the Home-Screen.

I hope can help me. I have the zophone i5 and it will not let me get into recovery mode. I can get into the screen where it says recovery mode with the apply logo and it gets stuck and thats it.
Another issue was I thought it might have been the phone so I reset it via factory mode but it is the same and I have lost the apple unlock screen and the slide to power off. I have tried to find what add they were using on my phone but cant seem to find it, does anyone know what its called?

Yes the stock rom is halfe baked..but as goophone y5 there will be software updates and new roms...it's just a matter of time
The phone hardware is very good, the only cons that i've to make to this phone is the current software, but oh well, you know, wich phone does not have bugs when it is released?

Ulefone launched the new Armor 3W and 3WT, like our 3 and 3T, it does have the exact same look and same specs except for the CPU and RAM, our 3 and 3T have the P23 and 4GB of RAM, the new Armor 3W and 3WT have the P70 and 6GB of RAM.
Does any of you had the change to get one and test it out?
I'm curious if the TWRP available to 3 and 3T are compatible with the new 3W/3WT.

Not yet, already bought the Armor 3WT from Banggood and they'll ship on October 13 if not mistaking.
I was hoping for someone that once they have the new 3W and 3WT they will test if the tools available for Armor 3 and 3T will be the same for Armor 3W and 3WT.
It's exactly the same models except for the CPU, RAM and OS, 3 and 3T have Oreo 8.1 and the Armor 3W and 3WT have Pie 9.0.
I'm waiting to buy a 3w also by Aliexpress. I'm searching to see bootloader, twrp and root unlock issue but it's hard to find. I don't know if because it is still launch ..... I hope that in the near future someone can unravel these mysteries
After almost a month of use I found many bugs software related but didn't find fix yet... Bluetooth keeps randomly disconnecting (I think this is Pie related and not Armor 3WT), the build in "firewall" doesn't work on stopping apps from access the internet, and neither does the build in "power saver" feature, regardless of having such apps on whitelist some of them keeps getting killed in background
I have had the Armor 3W for about a month now, after purchasing it as a replacement ffor my previous Armor 3 which wasn't too happy with 80kg landing on it from a height of around a metre. (Didn't break anything externally, just started behaving very oldy!)
The only issue I have found so far is that after a random period of time (from hours to days) the proximity and light sensor stop working. This is frustrating when making/receiving a call due to the screen not turning off. (Yes, some people still use mobile phone to make phone calls! )
I do not believe this to me a hardware issue as it is resolved, at least temporarily, with a power cycle.... (Think Roy from "The IT Crowd": Have you tried turning it off and on again?) It also sems to have been a semi-common on a number of other phones running Android P.
The proximity calibration app, I thought had worked as initially it seemed better, but the sensors have resorted to their old ways.
I have emailed Ulefone Support, but due to previous experience I won't be holding my breath, blue is not really my colour.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Armor 3W/WT, and if so does anyone have a solution?

Just got my own Armor 3WT and can confirm the proximity sensor issue. After about a day it stops working and gets stuck on 0 distance which causes the in call screen to go black. Reboot fixes it as mentioned above. For me the built in firewall or "network manager" works as intended from a few short tests. My build number of the rom is "Armor_3WT_RF1_EEA_V01_20190919-1954". Bluetooth also seems to work fine however i have only tested it with an OBD scanner and not for audio or wireless headphones...
Any news about twrp? All i could find are some fake websites with no download link. The bootloader unlocks with "fastboot flashing unlock" which does a factory reset and i tried booting the UMIDIGI S3 Pro twrp as the specs looked pretty close (same soc and ram and resolution) but it does not boot into recovery at all.

I personally didn't try KINGROOT because the last time i tried it was annoying to deal with and remove. I did look into patching the boot.img with magisk to avoid the need for twrp but first we need the stock rom download which ulefone does not provide yet (probably because the phone is so new). It has a RGB led on the top right. Pictures of the front camera are poor but usable in high light and the back camera is good with flash or light and "medium" when darker. By that i mean that you are able to see the general things in the image when dark but don't expect to be zooming in or reading text without flash.
Another thing worth noting is just how LOUD the speakers are. Watching videos indoors on the lowest volume is already slightly too loud when the room is quiet and notifications/calls are also extremely loud anywhere above the lowest setting. It is much louder than any other phone i ever tried.
EDIT: The camera does allow manual controls of everything including shutter speed with another manual camera app.

when ROOT will be available I will buy this phone probably ... (this is mandatory requirement with all my smartfones , i cant imagine have smartfone without ROOT)

how sim cards and exernal memory is applyiable ? SIM + SIM + MemoryCard ,
or hybrid SIM + SIM / SIM + MemoryCard

Charging and messages with selectable color. I agree about root however the phone was just too interesting to wait for root. I mostly need it to delete the gapps and google services as i don't use them so i can live with it for now. It has 2 sim cards and a micro SD card each in their own connector under the metal plate on the back so all 3 at once are possible.

i see one minus of this phone "rubber" around a case ... i hope so its properly mounted "glued" I have NOMU S30 mini now ... and after 1 year of using starting get away from corners

Instructions:
1. Flash recovery.img via spflashtool or platformtools.
2. Boot to TWRP.
Touchscreen is not working properly in TWRP on our gadgets. You need to use OTG cable and mouse. Skip enter password form. Default language is russian so you can choose your in options.
3. Install disable force encryption and magisk (if you need root) via TWRP.
4. Boot to system. Enjoy.

For anyone following these are the steps i did (assuming you unlocked bootloader already):
1. Copy both zips to external sd as internal storage wont work at first
2. adb reboot bootloader
3. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4. unplug usb and hold power button until screen turns off
5. let go of power button, count to 2, press and hold power button and volume up together until screen turns back on
6. let go of power button when screen turns on but keep holding volume up until you see TWRP screen
7. as above post said, cancel password and swipe to enter main menu and then one square above the bottom right to enter the language menu
8. flash both zips from external sd card
9. format data (not wipe but format to get rid of encryption) - i rebooted after flashing the zips and had to go back to recovery again to format the data !THIS DOES A FACTORY RESET!
10. reboot to system this will cause it to be set up as new
11. reboot to recovery again, this time there should be no password and in install you should be able to see internal storage of the phone
12. flash magisk / anything else you want
Also do you mind me asking... How did you manage to make this recovery? As far as i understand the stock boot.img is needed to port twrp or have things changed now?

But how i can understand you need to use your stock firmware from ulefone mega storage. I got a problem when was working with twrp stuff. Tee key and google key red text in upper right corner. I have restored the IMEI's but google key still is not ok. I checked solutions for other ulefone phones but they dont work. Maybe android 9 is a reason. If anyone know something about it pls reply. Sorry for my english

Aha. I did not know about any such ulefone mega storage existing although i have seen this kind of thing before when working with a no-name chinese tablet. I thought that the firmware simply wasn't released yet as there was no download link on ulefone page. Sadly i do not know anything about tee key or google key, it just worked for me. Hopefully someone else can help you with that.

Thank you, i'm sure this will be very useful. By the way.... I tried remounting system as rw and it doesn't allow me to do that. I read online that this might be due to a "secure kernel" but can't get much more info. Do you know how one could solve this and modify the files in system partition? Maybe there is some flashable .zip patch to enable it?
EDIT: It works in TWRP just not in android. I suspect this is due to apps trying to remount /system but the phone actually has files in /system/system/ (2 folders one in another).
EDIT2: Don't try to restore a twrp backup if you have any important data, for me it caused the phone to go black screen and reboot as soon as it goes past the first few seconds of the Orange State logo to try and load the system.
