So MIUI is an awesome overhaul but definitely not ready for use as an everyday Rom just yet. What I was wondering is if there were any way or anyone who could port just the lock screen replacement from it. And if not, are there any replacements out there like it?
I would love to see someone point to google voice instead of the default messaging app.

This was so long ago...LOL. does MIUI still use the dual slide lock screen? Last I used it was on Rodriguez and the dual pic slide was removed. Not sure if this was rom specific or through MIUI though.

Miui does use the slide with phone/lock/message keys. But MIUI has an amazing theming system, so it comes in many forms.
Not ready for everyday use?!?! Guess need to move over to another ROM seeing as how I've been using MIUI everyday for months...

Guess you don't know how to read. This thread was posted back when MIUI was brand new and extra buggy not to mention not even fully translated. So chill out. MIUI has come a long way in a short period. I don't use it full time but I've flashed versions and its pretty nice now.

Personally, I would love to see it added to Widget Locker. I already use MIUI as my daily ROM, and I love it! I also love Widget Locker, but I haven't used it in a while since I like MIUI's lock screen. Combine the best of both worlds, and we'll have a winner!

Does anyone know a way to get the original captivate lockscreen on a custom rom? Or know any roms that contain it?
This was the glass lockscreen with puzzle pieces that take you directly to a missed call or sms. (different from the regular puzzle lockscreen many roms currently have, that are puzzle even with no missed activity)
allllllot of roms have it as an option im prettey sure cm7 has it but not 100% and if your confident with bootloaders and going to gingerbread subpression and simply sgs2 both have 9 lockscreen options including the glass and puzzle locks

It doesn't. Along with a laundry list of other things.
I also have been looking for this to add back to my custom ROM. I am on cognition and the glass screen provides no puzzle piece link to missed calls or texts. I like the puzzle lock on this rom though.
I was previously on Continuum v4 and v4.1 and that rom DOES have the original samsung glass lock screen. Overall though, I prefer cognition so I can live with the puzzle lock which does do the links to calls or texts.

Look for a rom that has it. Most Tom's with multi lock screens have it as an options except for CM Tom's which will never have it as it is a touchwiz feature
Andromeda 3 has it and several others.

Just wanted to see if anyone was working on any lock screen mods. I love the stock lockscreen as much as anyone, but coming from the vibrant, I just happened to like the glass lockscreen (and then the honeycomb mod right before the g2x released).

Have you tried WidgetLocker? Lot's of customization....might suit your needs.
I just want a modified lock screen with the emergency call button removed.

Could you please post a set of instructions for installation, as I'd really like to give it a try sometime. And perhaps you could be more specific, i.e. which security patch is this ROM based on, etc. Overall it looks interesting, I'll be checking on other users input and opinions on this.

Have tested this Rom times short ..... This Rome I do not find anything to do with ios .. Samsung bootanimation, Samsung status bar not even the launcher reminiscent of ios. When is ios drawer an app? The installed camera has nothing to do with ios (quality, arrangement of the settings). Sorry but this Rome is nothing more than a Stock Rom with other launcher and bad camera.

I tested this rom again .... I take back my first impression ... this rome does NOT use at all. if I go to the settings then there are no possibilities to come back because there is no navbar and another button is not synonymous. You have to restart the phone again and again if you want to go back to the home screen. Settings to change the design so that it looks like iPhone in the status bar I did not find any. it is and remains a floor rom with a lot of ios launcher without buttons.
