Hello I have been experienceing issues with graphics on all of the sense based jb roms and no.matter which Rom, or kernel I use the graphics are extremely laggy and the advanced games like batman tdkr, and GTA3, as well GTA VC, and a slew of others freeze, lag, quit responding AMD so on. So my question is are there any devs that know of updated gpu drivers for the one x? Currently I had to downgrade back to stock in order to use 90 percent of what I use

Slim ICS + Trinity Kernel + over clock!! Should do the trick!!
Greetzz, Jojoost.
Sent form my awesome ICS powered Nexus S
They can all play HD. You just need to install chainfire3d driver and you'll be good to go.
thanks for the answere, ill try to install chainfire first.

Using CM9 4.0.3 v2.1 with Air kernal 2.9 (200-1100, lulzactive(stock setting)/sio).
No FC when playing HD games, some games even dont need Chainfire 3D to run.
But it drains my battery
Anyway..there is no error of HD games with CM9
Try it and hope it works on you!
Um... a low available RAM is it's reason, isn't it?
I use a Ram manager PRO, setting ram manager pro Hard gaming, I play HD games and there isn't FC
and my phone's is CyberGR 7 + Air 3.0!
Make sure to install the driver after you install the chainfire app. Once phone reboots you should be good.
I already try all this methods, try to use chainfire and driver install on it, slim ICS, Trinity kernel, overclocked, ram optimation, all are still have same problems. But the longest time I can play its while I'm try to stop common application that running in background, so I think its a RAM problems.

I will test. thanks
These games are not in HD gameloft calls all their nexus game HD...480x800 is not HD resolution
You don't need chainfire unless your using adreno or tegra version of the game and u already stated u can play for up to 5 mins
And u don't need a particular rom or kernel
If was a ram issue you would see performance degrade over the course of gameplay(lower fps stuttering...ect) before is actually crashes
Could be corrupt data.
delete all the content in gameloft folder for game on SD card
Start up the game and re download game data.
pirated version it could be old version not optimised for ics
Or could be trying to do a licence check and when it can't verify it boots u from game
Edit
splinter cell isn't even listed on game loft website for nexus s.
Was just wondering if thats possible? Or maybe just a slimmed down sense 4 similar to the One V.
The reason I ask is because the software on the One V flies, so just imagine the speed of it on our sensations!
We have many sense 4.0 roms. One being CoinDroid, it's already faster and better with bricked kernel.
I dont think it will happen due to the cpu in the one v. Not saying its impossible though as nothing is here on xda but I think that right now our best bet is one s ports

I know that, running the latest ordroid atm. I agree with you that its fast, but there is still some room for improvement. For example there is some lag when scrolling on home screens and there are some delays when opening certain apps that aren't there on aosp.
I was just thinking a one v rom could speed it up even more.

It won't happen due to different resolution. Why waste time if one S is the same resolution as sensation?
Has anyone seen a significant increase in 3D performance when going from Official ICS to one of the JB ROMs that are available?
Well i have no lag when playing dead trigger on high setting without an overclock on JB. where as ICS was a bit laggy even with an overclock.
Which jb are you using? Keen to try but not sure which to start with!

Hi everyone. I'm a noob.
I was wondering if it was possible to make my HTC Desire S running PACman v20.0.1 ROM able to run Real Racing 3. It doesn't appear in the play store and online it says incompatible. Please reply
Thanks.
I would normally tell you to use market unlocker app, but it doesn't work anymore, so the only thing left would be warez try looking on the net for an apk... I'm playing rr3 on my DS overclocked to 1.7ghz but it's still leggy. Laggy but playable

lower the oc to 1k-1.2k, high oc is known to cause lag in some games.

Real Racing 3 was available on 28th February. I downloaded it, installed, noticed that it was laggy on my ROM. I've changed the ROM and it wasn't available. Since then I've tried some other ROMs and also incompatible. Installed with the .apk file and I'm now playing it(although it's lagging, especially after hacking and buying all cars )
Reaper V4.0 is probably the most stable rom available. Gaming performance proves to be much better on this rom, so you might want to give it a try.

Maybe the game performance would be great on it, but it's on GB. I have flashed the Desire XS and the performance of Real Racing 3 is even better, than on CM and PACman with overclocked CPU. But thanks anyway for your advice!

Your call. Something to remember is that many things affect gaming performance including governors and I/O schedulers. Also, you might want to try using V6 Supercharger script (link is in my sig) and GameBooster 2
Haven't got a chance a chance to try GameBooster 2 yet but judging from the responses in the play store, it seems to work well.

So I have the US version and I've had it for a while (about a month) and I'm really disappointed with the performance. Scroll lags, the notification shade pulls down smoother on a galaxy player (that has less than 500mb of ram and is single core) and the 3d gaming performance is laggy. Like GTA3 should be able to run on max settings! Just disappointed and expected more.

OK? Why post this? Why not just get a new phone? Have you tried any other ROMs?

I played Tactics Ogre on my phone and Dead Trigger with no problems. Plus with most ROMs I don't encounter the same lag you have experience.
Maybe Powersave mode is on...

Sorry, the rest got cut out for some reason. I was asking if anyone else had this problem.
And a new phone is not an option. My family is on forclosure on the house right now so I might just cancel my data plan and use this as like an iPod.

Idk man, I've not had much lag at all. I've been rooted since the day I got it of course, so I've been running custom ROMs for a while.

Try flashing Cyanogen Mod from the original android section. General ui is much snappier and it doesn't have game lag like all the 4.1.2 TW ROMs.
Samsung really dropped the ball with the 4.1.2 updates. A phone this powerful should not lag playing temple run.

I get some lag while playing ingress and minecraft. Kinda annoying but it's better than my old phone and I hope my next is better than this one.

Are you running it stock? Phone runs great with custom stock ROMs & Kernals, but everyone has their own opinions. The games i've played ive not have any lag, but i'm running a custom kernal and ROM. That probably has is the difference, but i'm not overclocked.
well there's only two things that are certain in this world.... no tech device is ever perfect and taxes always increase.
If you expect anything different you will always be disappointed.
That being said, I had ANdroid phones since the HTC Eris and they keep improving. S3 is really nice, maybe the best of this generation, but its not perfect.
Lots of people are looking for infinite gaming speed + infinite battery life... well the two don't go together. There are always trade-off. speed vs. power, vs. size, vs. cost.
Oh and by the way, multi-core is mostly a marketing gimmick. The GPU does most of the graphics work and most apps are not multi-threaded, so a fast single core beats a slower multi-core every time. It's cheaper to make a slow multi-core processor than to make a faster single core.
I also noticed lag on the device which i put off was caused by Touch Wiz. I confirmed this when i finally rooted and started trying different ROMs.
The lag is there in all TW ROM's for me; however if you really want to stick with TW, the smoothest running TW ROM I've tried so far is Goodness. That is what i'm currently using. I don't experience lag during gaming or Apps though even with touch wiz... so might be just your phone.
However, if you can do without touchwiz, the AOSP ROMs are like butter and i experience no lag at all. At least the 4.2.2 ROMS. I've tried Liquidsmooth, paranoid android, Pac-man and Chameleon.
Crazy I'm 100 % stock and my phone runs awesome! I don't do much gaming so I can't chime in on that but I don't have lag at all like you describe. Do you have a live wallpaper installed??

I've tried a lot of the TW based ROM, Synergy, Hyperdrive , others and all the well developed one's run great for me. I don't see any lag. I also tried CM10 and no noticeable difference, I think a lot of the comment are caused by placebo effec, some people just hate OEM stufft. Also people will load up their home screens with 3000 widgets and say wow this phone / rom sucks, LOL m Then they load some new ROM with no widgets yet and go, wow this is really smooth....... until they load 3000 widgets and it sucks again. Hey , there really is a limit to performance on any phone.
