I have a USB-NIC and want to assign a static IP address to the interface. Does Anyone know how to enable the ethernet menu with a custom rom?

Hello!
If you look at this post:
http://jeftek.com/1887/motorola-xoom-http-proxy-support/
you will find that in motorola Xoom there are most settings for each wifi network (IP static/dinamic, etc) that I cannot see in my Transformer.
Do you confirm?
TY
Long press on the connection name. I have set up a static IP at home so I could use alternative DNS servers.
I have tried but nothing happens.....
I have long-pressed "everything" but I only get the ip address visualization.
It works!
Thank you!
Long press on your connection, choose "modify network" scroll down a little to IP setting and change dhcp to static. That will then reveal the other settings
Hi
I am using usb tethering to connect pc via my android device.
I am wondering if there is a way to control the pc assigned IP address.
The IP assigned by tethering is conflicting with the subnet the PC already have from the NIC.
I have searched and searched but haven't found anything. Is there any equivalent of network manager in linux for android?
I need something that I can store multiple network configuration for the wifi and my usb to ethernet adapter.
Example: Click a stored config to set ETH0 to an IP address on a network, but also give it a list of secondary IP addresses
Click a second config to set standard DHCP on ETH0
Click a third to set ETH0 to a different IP on a different subnet
etc etc.
It would be huge benefit if it also supported VLAN tagging configurations.
Hi
I have an Android box running 4.2.2 ICS
Just wondered, I would like to be able to remotely wake it from a sleep state with a PC (similar to a PC wake on lan command) - had a search but cant find anything, is there such a thing available?
Also, it has an ethernet port that I would like to use to connect to the outside world via a proxy but there are no proxy settings for the ethernet. Setting the proxy in the WiFi dosnt work for ethernet and the apps I've tried (proxy droid etc) only work with WiFi connections too. Anyone found a solution to this please?
Any help gratefully received
Cheers
Is there any way to enable the ethernet menu to configure a otg gigabit adapter for a specific ip and static?
