How can I go back to ICS after JB OTA updates? - HTC One S

I' am an android newbie. My phone is HTC One S VelliC2 and received the JB OTA updates.
However, I could not get used to it. So how can I return to ICS? Can I use the HTC Android 4.03 RUU file? Now the Hboot version has updates to 3.1 and it was 2.09 before the OTA updates. Does the Hboot version matters?
Thanks in advance.

if your are on a stock gb rom that means unrooted you will get OTA when it comes in your region
if your are already rooted you can just flash a custom 4.0.4 rom from the development section
you can still use the 17.9 mb ota update which is actually just a patch to 4.0.3
so from 2.3.X you can get 4.0.3 and then 4.0.4.
you can check http://andwise.net/?p=275 for the detailed steps

[Q] Official JB OTA on HK HTC One XL

Hi all,
I've a HongKong HTC One XL (2.42.708.3), bootloader unlocked, rooted, TWRP installed and still S-on. Yesterday I received the notification that the OTA JB update is available for the phone.
Before stating the official update, what do I have to do ?
Do I need to unroot ? Remove TWRP ? relock the bootloader ?
Or do you think, it's easier to go to an rooted official JB ROM ?
Thanks for your advices,
Vince.

UK Xoom: Highest OTA Android version?

Hi
I have a UK Wifi Xoom MZ604 and was wondering what the latest official Android version is? I am currently on 4.0.4 but seem to recall some UK Xoom users getting OTA updates to newer versions than that. My Xoom has not been modded, rooted etc in any way, but I've never received any further OTA update notification.
It was suggested somewhere that I reload the original stock firmware and go through the OTA process again to get the latest release, but after doing this I'm just back to 4.0.4 and seemingly going no further. I would like to get to 4.1.x as my wife watches alot of Demand 5/My5 which isn't supported on 4.0.4. I don't really want to go the root/custom ROM route as some of the apps that we use on the tablet don't run on rooted devices (All4, I'm looking at you).
So was there ever a UK OTA update beyond 4.0.4? Or am I stuck with it? Or any other suggestions?
Cheers!

Only for the MZ604 US version 4.1.x JB in OTS not yours.
It's stupid but like this.
If you flash your xoom with the stock HWI69 (android 3.0) your tab upgrade in OTA to 4.1

Thanks, I came to this conclusion and flashed HWI69 the other night. Pretty simple to do, now OTA'd up to 4.1
