Jellybean for TF300TL??? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently picked up a TF300TL off my local craigslist for $200.00. I've searched here as well as Google a lot and have not been able to come up with anything from someone who has installed Jellybean on a US TF300TL. Is there any custom rom that will work? How about root? I've found several threads but they all have warnings about it being untested on the TF300TL.
I'd just like to get Jellybean on here and am looking for some type of guide or walkthrough that could help me minimize the risk of bricking it, especially since it appears that the TF series has some specific steps that are required when updating.
Thanks!

uk bought xoom - need help

hi guys,
i just bought a xoom in the uk as an impulse buy. usually i do a lot of reading on things like this so i dont usually need help when it comes to rooting, unlocking bootloader etc.
This has probably been asked but i tried searching and i just got more confused. I would like to know if the uk xoom (wifi only) can be rooted and if i can unlock the bootloader. i would like to install a jellybean rom if that is possible but i couldnt really find i guide on this particular version.
If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you
Yes and Yes is the simple answer......
Best thing is to have a search on here and maybe Google and you should find some guides on how to do it.... The guide I followed (but don't remember where I found it) wasn't specifically written for a UK Xoom, but worked absolutely fine.....
The UK Xoom can be easily unlocked via ADB when connected to your PC.....
Unlocking the Bootloader will completely wipe the device though so ensure you have copied anything you want from the Xoom first....
Plenty of ROM choices - I am currently using EOS 3 (Nightly 155) which is Jellybean 4.1.2 but will jump over to EOS 4 on Jellybean 4.2 in due course....

[Q] How to flash from Asian firmware to US firmware

I just got the Motorola XOOM for Christmas 2012. I quickly found out it was out of warranty and not only that it has Asian firmware and the build # is 1.7.1-45. Being a gift I don't want to return it or let the person know that it is a non US XOOM.
I have spent the last 4 days researching how to upgrade to the US GED firmware with Jellybean 4.1. Never having rooted anything and now being throughly confused as to what steps to take I would like to ask for some straight forward direction in layman terms. I am pretty savvy at following directions but I have now confused myself with the research.
It came with 3.1 and upgraded to 4.0.4. My searches have led to MotoDev for the proper images to use but they don't seem to be there for this XOOM.
Lastly I have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8 with an 2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor. I can't use Eclipse in the ADT bundle with this Mac.
Please instruct.
Thanks,
Joel

Motorola, for reasons best known to themselves, have removed the stock images from their website.
There are, however, available to use elsewhere.

For installation instructions see post 3 of this link, I know it works as I have used myself

Will this give me the US firmware Build

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. Will doing this leave me with the US build HW169 if that is the image I download? I reviewed Sleeplessninja's video for rooting with a Mac and it seems pretty straight forward. I basically want to end up with a Google Enabled Device with the most current OS and automatic updates.
Thanks again for your help.
Yep, HW169 is the one you want.
It will probably install as Honeycomb 3.0, but will update OTA until you end up with the current release.

[Q] MSkip's S3 Toolkit + Build "BMA2" compatibility

I just got my S3 and i'm looking to unlock, root, and flash a rom. I'm a donator to MSkip's S3 toolkit so my updated model list for the VZW models goes up to Build BMB1. My phone is currently on BMA2 without any new updates available. Just wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether or not selecting the BMB1 build on the tool kit would cause issue with my BMA2. Just wanted to check with the community before i got bricking my phone. I'm familiar with the rooting process as i've done so on previous devices without issue.
Thanks in advance :good:

Wondering about ROOT capibilities

Hi guys, been lurking these forums off and on for awhile but I finally decided to make an account in attempt to my root my S5.
Generally I have a decent technical understanding of the android system but root is something i've never dived into completely so I had some questions and concerns. My biggest concern is that I attempted to root the phone a few months ago (I believe it was with..kingroot? if that sounds right) but failed, I'd like to try to root successfully but am wondering if the previous attempt could mess anything up and if so, how to fix that.
I was only wondering what exactly I would need to root the device, as in downgrading OS(?) or if only certain models are elligible or the like. Last but not least Id be interesting in finding the "best" rooting tutorial (assuming the stickied one isnt)
Thanks a lot guys, looking forward to getting into this!

Well first you need to tell us about your phone, like what software version you're running currently?

If you are on builds OE1 or OG5 you cannot root, downgrade, or do anything. You are stuck with stock. If you have anything before OE1 you have options.
Thanks for the replies guys sorry I wasnt more specific. Im running Android 5.0 and my build number is LRX21T.G900VVRU2BOG5 , is that what you mean by build? If so, is the root for it just not figured out yet or is there something stopping the device from being rooted permanently?

That is the build I was talking about. Between the locked bootloader and the security patches, it would seem the device is permanently stopped from being rooted.

Just bought this device, looking to install CyanogenMod on it, a few questions

Hey guys, I've been using android for quite a few years now, but when I came upon this forum, I saw a few posts warning of bricked devices. So, just to be sure, I'm looking for a guide on how to flash ROMs safely without bricking it. I looked around quite a bit and can't seem to find any guides for it. I have the i815 Verizon version, by the way. I downloaded CM12.1 already, but I've never used ODIN before. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
