Anker Battery and System shut down. - HTC Sensation

I bought an anker battery and at first was a bit disappointed but after a few charge cycles it really is amazing. I've gone from 2 hours screen on time to 3 and a half. Only issue is the phone gets to 13% and switches off completely.
It is either reporting the battery level wrong or there's some other issue. I'm on Viper 1.6.0 rom. I don't believe the whole wiping battery stats thing works or can someone prove me wrong?

Deleting the battery Stars probably wont do anything. This is a quote i found:
This file is used to maintain, across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes. That is, it is solely used to compute the blame for battery usage shown in the “Battery Use” UI in settings.[...]It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.It has no impact on your battery life.

So no idea why my battery dies at 13% still.

I can at least confirm that this happens with my anker also :/
tapped out from my sexy sensation XE

Doesn't know if it's right, but I think it's battery's problem. I had same problem when my battery was old enough.

Here's proof that wiping the battery stats does nothing important: https://plus.google.com/u/0/105051985738280261832/posts/FV3LVtdVxPT

[Q] does the htc sensation have no cooling methods

Does the sensation actually have no cooling methods, not even a minute on lowest brightness playing running fred and it got warm and even in the very few seconds it is takig to write this it is feeling warm already and I have no tasks running it any syncs or anything rubbing.
Does any phone have a cooling method?
Most of the heat is probably generated by the CPU or Battery so you could try underclock.
The phones have passive cooling methods. But under heavy load they're not so effective. Try an ics build... They solved the heating issues on my case

When I'm at home and my phone heats I put it on the fridge for a minute and it gets out very cold a sort of cooling phone way

You could damage it that way... Better use a hair dryer ( on cold of course )

The fact that you can feel the heat means the phone is dissipating the energy.
Might be the battery, I had a similar problem using stock battery, it got to over 45C under heavy load! Got a anker battery and it sits at 25C all day and never gets hot at all. It depends on your phone some people have extreme overheating problems with anker batteries. But might be worth looking into. Download battery monitor widget and keep an eye on temperature first though.

As I said, the humidity of a refrigerator can damage your phone. I'm just stressing it so you don't end up with a phone exploding or whatever

Get a ziplock bag fill it with ice and cold water and just let the phone sit on top of the bag

That's cause Anker has no temp sensor.

Seriously? Didn't know that . it seems to solve my overheating problems anyway, my stock battery got so hot I couldnt hold the phone but like now with my anker battery I've been using it without the screen turning off for about 2 hours and its still cool

Well um generally it is not the battery at all that causes thr overheating its the cpu. I had my phone go up to 40 degrees Celsius but the battery was actually fairly cool, its always the bottom of the phone, where the battery isn't that it starts to overheat.

Underclocking makes the CPU work longer and prevents the CPU from sleeping so that might not help much. I don't recommend anything that could get wet (fridge, ice bag, etc...). Tethering, GPS Navigation, heavy use and charging usually produce the most heat. I use a small desk fan if it's near.

Share your battery life here!! for Sensation and Sensation XE

Hi all,
this is my first thread, so I am very sorry for my english.
I've used a new battery for sensation xe, powered with 2450 mah.
Compared with the original Sensation XE's battery, which was powered with 1730 mah,
the new one is much better
the original battery needs to be charge every 11-13 hours (Moderate useage)
the new one needs to be charge every 22-23 HOURS!! (Of course with moderate usage)
So, what about yours??
Share your battery life experience here!!
THANK YOU
What battery is that? Is it the same size as stock?
Why start a new thread? There are several similar battery threads you can add to.
Incidentally, unless that new battery of yours is at least twice the thickness of a standard battery, requiring a modified back cover, then the mAh rating isn't genuine.

YES, IT WAS!!
Same size as stock.
I don't realy believe it's possible max mah in same stock size I saw it was 1950 mah and it's Mugen, higher than that should be larger battery

Do you know an app that can detect our phone's battery informations?
(e.g. the capacity, the type of battery)

Care to disclose more about that battery? Brand, model etc
Stock HTC battery, Elegancia Sense 4 rom, Sebastians kernel with recommended settings, cleaned with RomCleaner and my battery lasts for about 48h, average useage
hi man, 12 hs of battery life with moderate use??!! what do you consider moderate use?
I'm on ARHD, original battery 10 months old, normally get 24 to 36 hs with a moderate use.
LOL my battery works for 5-6 hrs with wifi n moderate use..!! is my battery dead????????????
No, it's WiFi that sucks battery...
Stock battery, Viper S ROM with Yank's Kernel, wifi or 4G on 24/7 (it's either one of them at a time), and that's average use (facebook, instagram, music) and I got around 35 hours before it dropped to 5%. So I think that's pretty good compared to stock rom.

everything is in my signature
i can hold my battery(stock)for 3-4 days
Viper 1.3.0 Rom
3g network whole day.
Music usage for 2 to 4 hours
Facebook for 30 mins to 1 hour.
Battery lasts 1 day. Night 10 hours no usage.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using Tapatalk 2
I recently bought an Anker 1900mAh battery and after that I can get a day easily out of it.
Phone was taken off the charger at 7am this morning, music player for roughly 2 hours and the screen has used 53% of the battery so it has been used regularly throughout the day.
Before I had the stock battery that came with the HTC Sensation and I used to get half a day if I was lucky with less use than I'm using now.
Also I'm on CM10 running badass governor at ~1.5GHz constantly.
Using stock battery,
Battery life is usually 30 hours with occasional gaming and news reading.
i get around 24 hours with 2 to 3 hours of screen time. i usually charge the battery every night, anyway so that's enough for me.
- arhd6.7.2 with some mods & faux kernel (intellidemand:1,18 to 1,51 ghz, no undervolting, no overclocking + hardswap)
think i could get much more with badass, but i prefer a smoother setting.

Battery problem

I have a sensation xe for 6 month and I have Battery problem since i bought it . The problem is Battery doesnt be full. It always orange light . Im charging device for 24 hours but it shows %27 and im rebooting it shows %81. I use it 4 hours and then Battery shows %3 i tried diffirent Battery, wall charger, rom and kernel but no change and I put piece of paper between battery and device but same result someone any idea to solve the problem?
Sent from my sensation xe z715e with beats audio
If you have tried different roms, batteries, chargers and you still have got problem i think that problem is in phone hardware...
Did you try a different battery? The problem you described doesn't seem like a software problem...

I think that our phone don't like reboots during charge. I cant found a really good explanation, but mine and my brother's one do that too..
It do that when i charge my phone from an external 5600Mha ANKER Battery. If battery is at 60% or more, i reboot the phone and the battery is charge at 90%. I think this charge is not really a true charge information, because the battery will take the same time to unload, as if it was a 60%
Thanks of all your answer but no solve hee

Please check your battery first. Make sure the battery shape is flat on both side. If not, replace a new battery.
If the battery is in good shape, try to take off the battery for 5 or 10 minutes and put it in again. Don't turn on the phone right away, please charge the phone via original charger and cable until you see the green indicator. Power on the phone in recovery and make sure the battery is 100% full. Then try to wipe battery status in recovery. Reboot your phone. Use your phone in normal and wait for two or three battery cycle and see how it goes. Please remember, don't try to flash another Rom at the meantime.

Like Skipjacks mentioned, wiping your battery stats won't change a thing. My battery status is weird as well but wiping didn't make it any better.

[Q] Htc sensation xe's battery for normal sensation.

So recently i bought used htc sensation with newest viper rom installed. Everything is perfect apart from the battery. Very long charging (~11 hours) , poor battery life and random shutdowns. I dont know the age of the battery so i guess its just very old and worn out. I need to buy new one and i've hear that sensation xe battery will fit into normal sensation. Is it true ? will the battery door close ?
