If you have tried different roms, batteries, chargers and you still have got problem i think that problem is in phone hardware...

Did you try a different battery? The problem you described doesn't seem like a software problem...

I think that our phone don't like reboots during charge. I cant found a really good explanation, but mine and my brother's one do that too..
It do that when i charge my phone from an external 5600Mha ANKER Battery. If battery is at 60% or more, i reboot the phone and the battery is charge at 90%. I think this charge is not really a true charge information, because the battery will take the same time to unload, as if it was a 60%

Thanks of all your answer but no solve hee

Please check your battery first. Make sure the battery shape is flat on both side. If not, replace a new battery.
If the battery is in good shape, try to take off the battery for 5 or 10 minutes and put it in again. Don't turn on the phone right away, please charge the phone via original charger and cable until you see the green indicator. Power on the phone in recovery and make sure the battery is 100% full. Then try to wipe battery status in recovery. Reboot your phone. Use your phone in normal and wait for two or three battery cycle and see how it goes. Please remember, don't try to flash another Rom at the meantime.

Like Skipjacks mentioned, wiping your battery stats won't change a thing. My battery status is weird as well but wiping didn't make it any better.

ANKER Reporting incorrect remaining Battery: Which battery is good

I know there are threads out there. but my concern is
The Anker battery 1900 MaH displays incorrect battery stat continuously.
no matter how many times i charge and discharge, it shows incorrect percentage. it stays on one percentage for a long time, and then drops 1 percent, but upon rebooting, it drops 4 percent straight away.
i have continuously charged now and rebooted and charged then rebooted and charged to try and get rid of this inconsistency but it doesn't seem to work.
Now on rebooting it has just jumped form 81% to 100%
anyone else with this problem and cure?
Which battery do you own or will buy
I don't think that's an anker battery problem my regular battery did the exact same thing....

recovery will not help...its a myth... may b as i assume the exploit used to get s-off dangerously messed up the battery safety limits and charging system...coz all now is sw controlled....to get rid of this... its recommended to return to s-on and stock and re unlock via htc code.... untill a safe method like dhd comes up using a safe exploit

Ouch, isnt that kinda harsh? My HTC battery seemed like it was like this before S-OFF as well, but I could be wrong.
I wonder if Alpharev is aware of this potential problem?
It seems that even though a reset causes the % to go up, it quickly comes back down to what it was at before. The charging stops at 4.12v, like it should, so I would say there may be something else up.
I was having the same problem with my stock battery AND my Anker. What I ended up doing is getting my battery to a low charge, then I wiped the battery stats in Recovery. I then charged the phone to 100% and used the Battery Calibration app to calibrate the battery. I used the phone and drained the battey untill it died, it was still reporting wrong percentage. Fully charged and did it again and drained the battery once more, from there it starting reporting normal precentages and still has to this day. Did this about a week ago.
Try it and report back.
A short summary of this would be to
1. Get phone to a low charge
2. Wipe battery stats.
3. Fully charge.
4. Use battery calibration app once it hits 100%(try to leave it charging for another hour after it hits 100%)
5.Use the device normally until it dies.
6. Charge the device again and repeat #5.
7.Report back here and tell me if it worked for you and then Thank my post if it did

well yes bro...but after s-off the batt voltage when sensation dies was merely 2.5v not even enought to charge again... so b cautious i am 100% sure batt safety limit is broke... and i helped 5 of my frndz to jumpstart after all dies and all had same voltage 2.49 so it is risky.... though on stock if fone dies still it charges coz it has min charge to b alive
I don't recommend the Momax battery, I tried one and the phone seriously overheated and switched itself off, then the battery wouldn't charge again.
That's the first and last time I'll try a cheap battery.

Strange! Ive never seen a lithium ion go below 3.3v when dead. When I let my battery die (to where I cant reboot the phone without letting it charge some) it is around 3.4v.
I wonder if S-OFF may have hurt some people and not others, purely by chance? I dont have any charging problems, but do see the miracle capacity boost on reboot. (Although it quickly drops down with some use). The only thing I see that is serious is reported standby current.

Anker Battery and System shut down.

I bought an anker battery and at first was a bit disappointed but after a few charge cycles it really is amazing. I've gone from 2 hours screen on time to 3 and a half. Only issue is the phone gets to 13% and switches off completely.
It is either reporting the battery level wrong or there's some other issue. I'm on Viper 1.6.0 rom. I don't believe the whole wiping battery stats thing works or can someone prove me wrong?

Deleting the battery Stars probably wont do anything. This is a quote i found:
This file is used to maintain, across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes. That is, it is solely used to compute the blame for battery usage shown in the “Battery Use” UI in settings.[...]It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.It has no impact on your battery life.
So no idea why my battery dies at 13% still.

You need to calibrate the battery...
Follow this, charge the phone till u r sure its fully charged(not what the battery shows), reboot to recovery, wipe battery stats...
After the restart, keep the phone on charging for half an hour to 45 min.
Hopefully this should help unless the battery itself has gone faulty.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710 using xda premium
'Calibrating the battery' is not actually a real thing.
It's a myth that has been thoroughly debunked. The battery stats only show what has used the battery, not how much of it should be left.
And nothing relating to battery stats would explain why the battery level is decreasing while it's plugged in. However 2 things will explain that.
1) You are using a charger that's less than 1 amp. The stock charger than came with the phone and most any other smartphone charger is a 1 Amp unit. If you are using a generic charger it might not have the power needed to charge the phone while you're using it. Same with charing via a USB connection on a computer. Or, you do have a stock 1 amp charger and it's just gone bad. Test this by trying another charger. However if the phone loses battery while plulgged in and not being used, then the charger probably isn't the problem.
2) Your battery is on it's last legs and needs to be replaced. They don't last forever. After a year, maybe two, they start to lose their ability to take and hold a charge. This is the more likely problem. The sollution is to just get a new battery. New stock batteries cost about $10 on Amazon. New Anker larger capacity battery will last longer and only cost about $18.

I put a volt reader on the battery after it had been on "charge" for 24 hours and the battery reads 4v and the phone reads 4v when plugged into the charger, so i know its not a battery fault.
When you plug it into the computer, nothing happens what so ever. no lights, noises etc. It's completely dead.

Try this and see if it helps...
charge your phone continuously for 6-8 hours without battery and than put battery again with charger pluged in and then try to turn on your phone..
Lots of people recover by doing this ...:fingers-crossed:
That didn't work either

Battery level falling even while charging

Hi guys,
In my phone my battery level keeps falling even when it I plugged to the charger...it goes up to a certain percentage and then starts falling off the cliff while still on charger...attaching a picture of the charge cycle...
I am on Albino JB 4.2.2 build 13th April. Have already tried three different batteries but same result...switched ROM and still the same...greenified most apps such as FB and maps...Even tried different chargers !!! This is really harassing me... Can someone guide me pls what to do next ???
Thanks

Until that point it seems to be charging just fine. Will it charge the battery fully when the phone is off? Try completely discharging your battery then fully charging it while keeping your phone off.

Hi guys.
The problem continues !!!
Below are the things i have tried...
1.) Charging with original wall charger during phone on...Battery still declining during charging
2.) Completely wiped my phone and did not put any app still the same result
3.) Got a new Anker battery and still the same result (this is my fourth battery !!!)
4.) Tried different chargers and still the same result
5.) Switched off the phone and charged overnight and it took approx 8 Hrs to charge full but then the battery depleted quite quickly !!!
There is something wrong with the battery indicator it seems...Once the battery hits 0% while charging it rockets backs to 100% and then again starts to deplete.
Any more suggestions anyone ???
Maybe the charging electronic is just broken, if there is you have really tested new charger and new battery. Maybe controll your batterypins, maybe those are somehow broken (especially ground pin?)

I hope you also tried in different wall sockets lol
Otherwise I think the mechanism responsible is busted :S
Hi. I had the same problem. I solved it by getting a new cable for the charger. I.e. the charger was working well, but the cable was failing to deliver enough power. Hope this will work for you too.
