Hi all,
this is my first thread, so I am very sorry for my english.
I've used a new battery for sensation xe, powered with 2450 mah.
Compared with the original Sensation XE's battery, which was powered with 1730 mah,
the new one is much better
the original battery needs to be charge every 11-13 hours (Moderate useage)
the new one needs to be charge every 22-23 HOURS!! (Of course with moderate usage)
So, what about yours??
Share your battery life experience here!!
THANK YOU
What battery is that? Is it the same size as stock?
Why start a new thread? There are several similar battery threads you can add to.
Incidentally, unless that new battery of yours is at least twice the thickness of a standard battery, requiring a modified back cover, then the mAh rating isn't genuine.

I bought this battery from my friend (online)
YES, IT WAS!!
Same size as stock.
I don't realy believe it's possible max mah in same stock size I saw it was 1950 mah and it's Mugen, higher than that should be larger battery

Care to disclose more about that battery? Brand, model etc
Stock HTC battery, Elegancia Sense 4 rom, Sebastians kernel with recommended settings, cleaned with RomCleaner and my battery lasts for about 48h, average useage
hi man, 12 hs of battery life with moderate use??!! what do you consider moderate use?
I'm on ARHD, original battery 10 months old, normally get 24 to 36 hs with a moderate use.
LOL my battery works for 5-6 hrs with wifi n moderate use..!! is my battery dead????????????
No, it's WiFi that sucks battery...
Stock battery, Viper S ROM with Yank's Kernel, wifi or 4G on 24/7 (it's either one of them at a time), and that's average use (facebook, instagram, music) and I got around 35 hours before it dropped to 5%. So I think that's pretty good compared to stock rom.

I recently bought an Anker 1900mAh battery and after that I can get a day easily out of it.
Phone was taken off the charger at 7am this morning, music player for roughly 2 hours and the screen has used 53% of the battery so it has been used regularly throughout the day.
Before I had the stock battery that came with the HTC Sensation and I used to get half a day if I was lucky with less use than I'm using now.
Also I'm on CM10 running badass governor at ~1.5GHz constantly.
Using stock battery,
Battery life is usually 30 hours with occasional gaming and news reading.
i get around 24 hours with 2 to 3 hours of screen time. i usually charge the battery every night, anyway so that's enough for me.
- arhd6.7.2 with some mods & faux kernel (intellidemand:1,18 to 1,51 ghz, no undervolting, no overclocking + hardswap)
think i could get much more with badass, but i prefer a smoother setting.

hi guys,
I must say I'm very very very impressed with my aankr batteries I got from ebay.
with the stock battery, (lastest insertcoin rom)
battery would drain 7~8 % on light use.
bit better on cyanogen mod but prefer Sense over anything else.
got 2 ankrs yesterday
fully charged (first cycle)
battery drain is significantly better.
2% per hour on light use ( some music, podcasts, as before with the stock battery)
I think everyone should get one of these.
Already a thread...
Sent from my HTC Sensation
I am thinking of picking one up myself shortly as i now have my CPU running at 1.5GHz funny enough i have not noticed much of a drain battery life wise but still struggle with a full days use.

srry it was an repost.
i was just too excited with the result.
8-4pm i have about 40%left
(with stock battery it went down to 15~20%)
since it's my first charge, it will only get better
Thanks and srry again for repost.
I think the anker batteries are the best thing to happen to the sensation, besides cm7 lol. But with the anker battery I can get 20 hours on a single charge, no BS, I have the screen shots, just don't know how to attach them in XDA app
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
You can get way over 20 hours. I've had 30+ out of it loads of times. (with fairly light use obviously)

yeah I can.vouch for that ....I just got it nd just flashed the messy rom aosp rom and first charge lasted over 20 hours I'm on second cycle now and I'm over 23 hours and I believe at 35 % left ......not even using special kernel ....but I'm gona install new faux kernel and I'm hoping to get Even better life .....

I want to buy a new battery for mu Sensation and dont know which one to get..
From what i have heard Anker 1900mAh gives around 1740mAh which is basically the same as evo 3d/sensation xe batteries..
Price doesnt matter.. Just want to know the performance..
Does the evo 3d/sensation xe 1730mAh battery produce 1730mAh of power or is that too a bit exaggerated and actually a little less?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks..
Got an anker but never opened it yet, because I found a HTC EVO 3d battery for $23 which is about same price as anker.
I got the anker if you want to buy it still sealed.
I'll test the EVO when I get it but I assume it will be a good as anker
The HTC batteries are said to be true to their ratings.
If you compare the OEM batteries here they all look to be true to their mAh ratings

Thanks guys.. But i really would like to know from someone who has used both.. coz its a one time investment for me.. =)

Was that really compared to the XE/EVO 3D-battery? He mentions 1520 mAh, which would mean that it's the the stock battery of the regular Sensation (the XE/EVO 3D has a 1730 mAh)?

No. It was compared to the stock battery. He said there was a 34.4% improvement on the stock battery. I think this is a bit far fetched.
Anker Battery 1900/1520 is a 25% battery life increase on stock.
XE/EVO Battery 1730/1520 is a 14% battery life increase on stock.
This person reckons 15-20% improvement

I personally am going to buy the Anker. It is $20 delivered for me, so its not much. If it sucks then I'll get the HTC branded battery.

For anyone that has an interest. I have purchased both and have used both. The Anker battery lasts longer than the stock HTC, but the EVO 3D battery last longer than both of them. The EVO 3D will give me 24 hrs with light use and the Anker will do 18 to 20 hrs with the same kind of usage. My reading found the Anker batteries can sometimes start weakening after several months. The wall charger I received with the Anker was very flimsy and I felt that I did not have a proficient piece of goods for my Sensation.

I have purchased Anker, and is definitely better than the stock one!
My colleague have XE with sock 1730mAh and it have just slight huge performance.
I use the Anker and its fine . I run coredroid and have used energy as well both clocked at 1.2ghz and undervolted -75 and since charging yesterday im on 24% with 31hrs 20min switched on . lite use some calls some bluetooth and some net shed loads of txt and 2 mail accounts . not bad in my eyes .

After this post I ordered this battery... there are 9 left. Lets hope its legit.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200675585092?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
i have tried the anker 1900, mugen evo 3d 1950, and OEM HTC amaze battery. i find that the amaze battery worked out the best.
if i just use my phone moderate-heavy without watching videos and have emails and facebook syncing every hour, sending out lots of SMS, few voice calls, and lots of web browsing i can easily get 19-20 hours of use on my phone until i hit the 10% mark.
what i have done to test these batteries was put them into EXTREMELY HEAVY USE by constantly letting it play videos repeatedly with 4G signal on and screen brightness at MAX until i had 10% battery left so that the low battery indictator would come on.
the battery and cpu didnt really get hot at all during the +4hours of continuous video playing. when i checked the temperature after hitting 10% my phone read it at 54'C
i had my korean show on repeat which is about 1 hour and 3 mins long
KEEP IN MIND THAT THE 4G SIGNAL IS THE BIGGEST BATTERY DRAINER
these are my reports:
Anker 1900mAh lasted 3 hours 10 mins
Mugen Evo3d 1950mAh lasted 3 hours 19 mins
HTC AMAZE 1730mAh lasted 4 hours 12 mins
from all my searching i have done on HTC and aftermarket batteries. I decided to stick with an OEM battery because HTC is just about ACCURATE when it comes to giving the batteries REAL mAh.
Our sensation batteries are interchangeable with the EVO 3D, SENSATION XE, and the AMAZE. All these batteries are 1730mAh with the exception of the EVO 3D and AMAZE being at 3.8v instead of 3.7 like the Sensation's stock battery.
I decided to get the AMAZE battery since it was the newest TMOBILE phone out so i ordered mines last week for $34.99 from tmobiles website.
im VERY happy with the results from the AMAZE battery.!
i use system tuner pro and i run my phone at screen on 1.18GHz/192MHz with ONDEMAND GOVERNOR
screen off at 192MHz
i UNDERVOLTED my phone by 100. to anyone that is curious, this is how I have my voltage settings.
192MHz --------- 812.5mV
310MHz --------- 800mV
384MHz --------- 800mV
432MHz --------- 800mV
486MHz --------- 800mV
540MHz --------- 812.5mV
576MHz --------- 825mV
648MHz --------- 837.5mV
702MHz --------- 862.5mV
768MHz --------- 887.5mV
810MHz --------- 900mV
864MHz --------- 925mV
918MHz --------- 925mV
960MHz --------- 925mV
1.02GHz --------- 937.5mV
1.15GHz --------- 950mV
1.18GHz --------- 962.5mV
i have 192MHz at 812.5mV because that was the default setting on system tuner pro. People have complained about having black screens and such and so they increased voltage from between 825mV-850mV @192MHz and after that they said the problem went away. I have not had that problem so i decided to leave alone the voltage at 192MHz.

I concur, I get roughly 15% more battery life out of the Anker compared to the stock HTC battery. I get good battery life out of my stock battery though!
If you read back earlier on the main Anker thread you'll find that in tests done by members here the Anker 1900's hold on average 1730mAh, which is close to the 15% improvement I saw when I switched from stock to Anker. Anyone seeing 'massive' improvements over stock probably had a dud stock battery.
Cheers

The anker battery has been good to me. Easily 8 hours on extreme use and background music playback on most of the time.
I've got the Sensation XE with 1730 battery. I've got the Anker on order. Would you guys advise me to cancel the order. The only reason I want the Anker is for longer battery life.
I heard that they are about the same.

In the past I purchased several extended batteries from Mugen. I bought batteries for the hTC Wildfire, Sensation, Desire Z, HD2 and Google Nexus S. Needless to say why. Running these android devices for a full day on heavy usage can be a challenge on it's own. Besides running my own roms the battery is the first thing I replace to get better battery life.
The Mugen 1950mAh for the Sensation came in the known package including quick start guide how to calibrate the battery. Shipped the day after ordering it arrived within about 2 weeks.
The 1950mAh has a perfect fit. No need to replace the cover or fix things. First I calibrated the battery. After a few months of usage I can say the battery is great. Regular day, several calls, 2hours BT connection with nokia carkit. Reading emails and some browsing. After almost 11 hours usage and still 80% battery. That's better then I used to get with the stock battery.
The Verdict
A good battery. Although it is not cheap I consider it a must have for power users that don't want a bulky backcover with the hTC Sensation. You still need to charge the phone on a daily basis with moderate or heavy usage but at least it will last the day instead of the stock battery.
WHat the
dude 11 hours with that usage and still 80% ?! I should buy that battery. I wish the price could be cheaper though

I just want to know your configuration so I have few questions
Which ROM you have? Is it GB or ICS?
Which kernel you're using? Did you change clock speed?
I would also like to see screen on time, I imagine it's next to none.
I have Mugen second week. I can use sensation couple hours longer without charging. Also notice some improvement with screen on time.
But for me it is to early for review. I will write my opinion after a longer time of using it.
I will try to add some screenshots in next few days.

yea i seen that too. i would rather look at the posts with heavy use on the battery, instead of standby most of the time and barely have any time for screen on. of course, if the screen is barely on and most of the time on standby mode. the battery drain will be very minimal
Recently I tried latest JellyTime, CoolDroid, stock 2.3.5 and now I'm on CM7 nightly (only apps that I use).
I am really suprised by battery life and overall performance on CM7! I've used phone quite intensive: 5 h LCD (auto brightness), over 3 h Wi-Fi, benchmark and OC for a while, few games, some calls, SMS and other.

i think a battery should work normally for two years without a significant drop but it also depends on your usage. if you normally charge your phone once a day it should be so, but if you're a heavy tester or gaming enthusiast, that period will of course be shortend.
i also think that buying a new battery if you intend to use your phone one more year it's not a waste.
