Review Mugen Power 1950mAh Extended Battery

SKU: HLI-APX515CSL
Cell Type: Li-ION
Voltage: 3.7v
Capacity (mAh): 1950
Battery Door: Not Required
Rom used: my own kwbr rom
Kernel: stock kernel ICS 4.0.3
In the past I purchased several extended batteries from Mugen. I bought batteries for the hTC Wildfire, Sensation, Desire Z, HD2 and Google Nexus S. Needless to say why. Running these android devices for a full day on heavy usage can be a challenge on it's own. Besides running my own roms the battery is the first thing I replace to get better battery life.
The Mugen 1950mAh for the Sensation came in the known package including quick start guide how to calibrate the battery. Shipped the day after ordering it arrived within about 2 weeks.
The 1950mAh has a perfect fit. No need to replace the cover or fix things. First I calibrated the battery. After a few months of usage I can say the battery is great. Regular day, several calls, 2hours BT connection with nokia carkit. Reading emails and some browsing. After almost 11 hours usage and still 80% battery. That's better then I used to get with the stock battery.
The Verdict
A good battery. Although it is not cheap I consider it a must have for power users that don't want a bulky backcover with the hTC Sensation. You still need to charge the phone on a daily basis with moderate or heavy usage but at least it will last the day instead of the stock battery.
WHat the
dude 11 hours with that usage and still 80% ?! I should buy that battery. I wish the price could be cheaper though
How much did you pay for the battery?and did you order it direct from mugen?why did it take so long to get it is possible to get it in a few days.

You can also check mobilefun. 34 euros ex. Shipping costs a 3,50 or 10 euros for a 24 hours shipment-receiving. I prefer the 3,50. It will take about 5 days before receiving.

That isn't too much money for a battery like that! Seems to be good

34 euros is 42 USD. Google is your friend
@ kwbr
I just want to know your configuration so I have few questions
Which ROM you have? Is it GB or ICS?
Which kernel you're using? Did you change clock speed?
I would also like to see screen on time, I imagine it's next to none.
I have Mugen second week. I can use sensation couple hours longer without charging. Also notice some improvement with screen on time.
But for me it is to early for review. I will write my opinion after a longer time of using it.
I will try to add some screenshots in next few days.
edit:
Here are some screenshot
Soon I will add more to show battery life with heavy load

yea i seen that too. i would rather look at the posts with heavy use on the battery, instead of standby most of the time and barely have any time for screen on. of course, if the screen is barely on and most of the time on standby mode. the battery drain will be very minimal

worse battery, but why?!

hey guys.
i have got a sensation xe, i bought it because of the headphones and the better battery. i thought, a better battery and underclocking the processor will give me a very good battery life. i bought it about 3 month ago.
but now, i have a very very bad battery life. no matters what rom or what kernel i am using, even undervoltage doesn't help. i wiped battery stats lots of times...
i'm on newest 3.33 firmware.
i really don't know, why battery life is so bad.
maybe my battery is bricked?!

do you have the stock HTC battery? whats the mAh of the battery when it is fully charged?
You might want to try a long lasting battery like Anker! It's made a huge difference for me! Get the new battery and adjust your settings to optimize your battery life. You will see what a difference that will make! It works well for me!! Best of luck!

Share your battery life here!! for Sensation and Sensation XE

Hi all,
this is my first thread, so I am very sorry for my english.
I've used a new battery for sensation xe, powered with 2450 mah.
Compared with the original Sensation XE's battery, which was powered with 1730 mah,
the new one is much better
the original battery needs to be charge every 11-13 hours (Moderate useage)
the new one needs to be charge every 22-23 HOURS!! (Of course with moderate usage)
So, what about yours??
Share your battery life experience here!!
THANK YOU
What battery is that? Is it the same size as stock?
Why start a new thread? There are several similar battery threads you can add to.
Incidentally, unless that new battery of yours is at least twice the thickness of a standard battery, requiring a modified back cover, then the mAh rating isn't genuine.

YES, IT WAS!!
Same size as stock.
I don't realy believe it's possible max mah in same stock size I saw it was 1950 mah and it's Mugen, higher than that should be larger battery

Care to disclose more about that battery? Brand, model etc
Stock HTC battery, Elegancia Sense 4 rom, Sebastians kernel with recommended settings, cleaned with RomCleaner and my battery lasts for about 48h, average useage
hi man, 12 hs of battery life with moderate use??!! what do you consider moderate use?
I'm on ARHD, original battery 10 months old, normally get 24 to 36 hs with a moderate use.
LOL my battery works for 5-6 hrs with wifi n moderate use..!! is my battery dead????????????
No, it's WiFi that sucks battery...
Stock battery, Viper S ROM with Yank's Kernel, wifi or 4G on 24/7 (it's either one of them at a time), and that's average use (facebook, instagram, music) and I got around 35 hours before it dropped to 5%. So I think that's pretty good compared to stock rom.

i can hold my battery(stock)for 3-4 days
Viper 1.3.0 Rom
3g network whole day.
Music usage for 2 to 4 hours
Facebook for 30 mins to 1 hour.
Battery lasts 1 day. Night 10 hours no usage.

I recently bought an Anker 1900mAh battery and after that I can get a day easily out of it.
Phone was taken off the charger at 7am this morning, music player for roughly 2 hours and the screen has used 53% of the battery so it has been used regularly throughout the day.
Before I had the stock battery that came with the HTC Sensation and I used to get half a day if I was lucky with less use than I'm using now.
Also I'm on CM10 running badass governor at ~1.5GHz constantly.
Using stock battery,
Battery life is usually 30 hours with occasional gaming and news reading.
i get around 24 hours with 2 to 3 hours of screen time. i usually charge the battery every night, anyway so that's enough for me.
- arhd6.7.2 with some mods & faux kernel (intellidemand:1,18 to 1,51 ghz, no undervolting, no overclocking + hardswap)
think i could get much more with badass, but i prefer a smoother setting.

Anker baterry 1900mAh

Hello everyone,
today i noticed that anker baterry price on amazon has been cut by half
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker%C2%AE-1900mAh-Li-ion-Battery-Sensation/dp/B0053EZJMC/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1384159575&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=htc+sensation+anker+baterry
Is this batery ok and worth to take ?
Seller : anker
most rewievs sais its awasome but i noticed some rewievs that sais the baterry dies pretty quickly after 3-4 months or even faster . Help me to make a choise
Not sure whether one more individual experience will help, but I'm very happy with this battery for a year now ... constantly 1 day of heavy usage / 2 days of mild usage on my sensation with SuperXE rom

This is a great chance. Anker is quite famous for its battery charger. Unfortunately I've got a RavPower 1900mAh Li-ion Battery
already.

how it's performance?
I just got my anker and this is the best purchase I have ever made. I'm getting like 3 and a half hours of screen on. Fantastic product.

Can not buy Anker in Vietnam, so that I always choose the original htc 1730 mAh.
The Anker battery is definitely a good buy. The difference with the standard Sensation battery, and even with the Sensation XE battery is awesome.
Thanks everyone, my baterry is on the way , ill give quick rewiev on it as i will use it.
I've had good luck with my Anker, but it appears that the battery contacts may be a bit deeper recessed into the battery than the factory HTC one. I had to pry the phone battery contacts out a bit to ensure a good connection (phone was mysteriously rebooting). Battery life has been excellent; depending on ROM, between 24-40 hours (assuming 2-3 hours screen on).
Thanks for the heads up
I just ordered mine, and will edit this post here about my findings. :fingers-crossed:
Yesterday i got my anker , the package looked nice and undamaged.
Things i've done so far :
1.Inserted the baterry and charged it to 100% took not so long 4-5 hours (Was ~70% stock) and did baterry wipe
2. Now will use my phone till the baterry will be at 10-2% and will charge it full again (it said that you need to do that 3-4 times so baterry calibrates with the phone)
Baterry was 100% about 22:00 it kept 100% untill 24:00 (some texting , looking at the time)
In the morning the baterry was at 88% - not doing anything
Now at 12:25 its 52% screen on 1h13m
13:28 -------- 40% , wow it sinks pretty fast with texting and not so many of it.
used mobile network (about 30mins ) with facebook 15mins and a game 15mins., had one phone call and texting mostly.
While playing game the baterry was very close talking about the heat as original but not enough to reach level of finger burning .
original answer what to do with fresh new baterry from ianker.com
After receiving your Anker battery, we recommend our you let it fully charge until it reach 100% with your phone power off. It may take 6 to 8 hours. In order to help the Anker battery calibrate with your phone, please let the phone discharge until it reach 20% then recharge it completely with your phone off). Do this 2 to 3 times in a row to be sure that the phone fully calibrate with the new battery. After that, you can use discharge and charge the phone as you wish. Note: For optimal use, discharge down to 10% and charge completely at least once a month.

[Q] Htc sensation xe's battery for normal sensation.

So recently i bought used htc sensation with newest viper rom installed. Everything is perfect apart from the battery. Very long charging (~11 hours) , poor battery life and random shutdowns. I dont know the age of the battery so i guess its just very old and worn out. I need to buy new one and i've hear that sensation xe battery will fit into normal sensation. Is it true ? will the battery door close ?

Yeah you can use sensation XE's battery on htc sensation
just like using anker battery (1900) mah on htc sensation xe
the most important things, the battery must fit perfectly on your phone
