Found this on roberts site a couple weeks ago and since then the new improved Snes9x EX+ has made its way to the google store for free (Like the old version when google still had it up). The Snes is a perfect match for our Xperia Play (Full button mapping with no compromise to missed place buttons as it matches the original controller perfectly) and now has smoother gameplay and increased emulation accuracy then ever before on mobile thanks to this second improved model and new Snes9x version base. Nothing beats playing classic mario or donkey kong country while sitting taking a dump

Description
Advanced SNES emulator based on Snes9x 1.53 with near complete game compatibility. A 1GHz+ device is recommended for best results. For older devices, a faster version based on 1.43 is available for download on my site. This app is 100% free with no ads.No ROMs are included with this app and must be supplied by the user. A number of public domain games/demos are available at www.pdroms.de. Transfer games anywhere to your internal storage/SD card and browse to them from within the app (default SD card directory on most devices is /mnt/sdcard). ROMs may be in .smc and .sfc formats, optionally in .zip files.

If you prefer the old Snes9x Ex for some reason you can find it HERE still for free too.
Playing the "older" Snes9x Ex 1.5.7 vs "newer" Snes9x EX+ 1.5.7, the first one runs the games smoothly without lag.
Tested in Gin2Jellybean, Doomkernel v14 overclocked 1.1ghz
Any more feedback on the new vs old versions of this app? Include ROM and kernel as well.
Ok

Good thing with this version is Secret of evermore works well (sound)
But I find older snes9x ex 1.5.7 more fluid with other games
stock rom and kernel
If frameskip is set to 0, this version of snes9x seems pretty laggy on xperia play
Can someone tell me if theirs a way to remove or disable the onscreen gamepad. I use mhl to my tv and a wii controller so I don't need it on screen.
Thanks

The latest update for Tegra Zone game Riptide, has added support for external game controllers on honeycomb tablets. I loaded up the latest version of Riptide using Chainfire 3D(of course), and when I went into the settings menu it let me map every area of the Play! As far as I am concerned, this game is now Xperia Play optimized, just gotta added a little edit to the XML file and Ill be all set.

You have to use Chainfire Pro to enable Tegra games on the Market.

Which also means you'll need root...
I emailed the Riptide devs and they said they will come out with a non-tegra version this fall and are looking into making it Xperia Play optimized.
I guess none of the others are optimized so it's not really worth bothering enabling it really.

Could you share the specific settings you applied through chainfire on this game please
All I did was use the nvidia plugin. Didn't tick any boxes. In the game, you can go into the settings menu and go to controller setup and map the controls.

But you need a separate plugin, right? I've never got to play Tegra games on my Play despite having CF3D... could you point out where the plugin is?

excellent !! works great apart from a little graphical glitch where your man and jet ski go different colours do you know of a way of sorting this out ?
any help will be much appriciated
Found this on another site (SOURCE - droidgamers) and thought would share. No onscreen controls as uses hardware keys (early port's). have not got time to test at mo but if the Xperia Play Keys dont work straight off you can remap unworking buttons with Gamekeyboard.

ResidualVM is another emulator that is a cross-platform 3D interpreter which allows you to play LucasArts' Lua-based 3D adventures games and has had a team working on it for awhile now. As with all things relating to emulators, the inevitable question arises about an Android version. Well it seems some users over on the ResidualVM forums have taken it upon themselves to unofficially port the emulator over in the hopes that the ResidualVM team picks it up and makes an official version from it. However, the unofficial version works very well and you can grab it and play a little Grim Fandango on your Android device if you're up for it.
Of course this is still a work in progress and there happens to be no overlay with on-screen controls that you can use to play the game. The solution to this is to either use a physical controller or an application like Game Keyboard to have a custom overlay that you can use to play the game. You will also need a fairly high-end Android device to run everything as full speed. Our tipster has it running nice and smooth on a Samsung Galaxy S II so you don't need a bleeding edge Android device to run it well, just a decent high-end one at least.
If the current coder of the unofficial Android version decided to merge his port with the code base of the ResidualVM team's version, we could see an official version of ResidualVM not too long from now. Until that happens though, we have an unofficial version to toy around with. Of course if you aren't technically inclined when it comes to emulators, especially those that are a work in progress, you might want to wait on grabbing this one. If you're up for mucking around with this unofficial version, and playing a little Grim Fandango, hit up the official forums below and on page 4 and 5 of the thread there are links to the different ports.

Hi. I was going to download the emulators of Yongzh (Nesoid, Gensoid, etc.) and they're all gone frome the Slide Me web, the only one you can find it's N64oid.
http://slideme.org/user/yongzh
Has Yongzh moved them to another web?
Looks like he took them down as N64oid paid is still there
I do think its worth buying Robert Broglia's (.emu's) as they are so much better then yongzh (Snes9x is free here) or his beta (Saturn emu is free here)
Have the emulators you want attach below. Not the new versions but they have been modded to show in the Xperia Play Launcher (If i uploaded the right one's )

Read through your recent posts.
I bet you are looking for Gensoid.
I know because I gotta go fast lol
Anyway speaking of emulators some genesis emulators I know.
GENPlusDroid can do for you. (Free - Might not have best sound but change sampling rate in settings and should be alright, can be sloppy in framerate if your phone is multitasking)
M.D Emu (Paid) Perfect Framerate and speed as well as Sound, never had a single problem with this emulator.
Edit : You Just reminded me about my discontinued rom cover.

Heres hoping for 32X to be added

Just curious as to why they are better? I have yongzh and just now heard of these alternatives.
Hey Everyone,
So as I was browsing the forum the today I herd a reference to an app as part of a solution to play game cube games on my note 3.
I have to share my findings because this app is awesome, and if your a gamer you should have this app.
It's called "Kainy" - weird name I know but awesome and powerful app.
Play Store Description -
Kainy is a remote desktop oriented for Gaming and Performance.
Stream your games from your PC into your Phone/Tablet.
Play your PC Games Everywhere (Wifi/3G/4G).
- HD/native resolution.
- About 100 Preset Templates for Controls and UI.
- Up to 60 fps.
- Customize your Interfaces (Buttons and Controls).
- Apply your Custom Pages (Interfaces) for each of your Games/Applications.
- Use Accelerometer to control your Games.
- Support Fullscreen, Sounds, Bluetooth Keyboard...
- Authentication/Data encryption in 128 bits.
- Use Kainy as Game Controller.
- Optimized for Neon, Tegra2 and Tegra3.
- Multi-Devices connections (Up to 5).
It's pretty cool, and only $3. Down the Android app, down the PC app, the PC app will give you all the numbers to put into the android app with minimal setup required. You'll be remote controlling your desktop in seconds.
Also let's you build custom controller layouts (see screenshots below), and let's you turn off screen mirroring for a controller only mode.
Hope you guys like this!

Windroye makes Android run on Windows!
By Windroy, users can play WeiChat and so many interesting mobile games, experiencing extra fluency thanks to PC's large screen and high permormance.
Windroy also contains PC side mate and mobile app, which let users quickly locate and install App,
set geographic position, send pictures in batch, browse and subscribe WeiChat public numbers (by our Weichat public number yellowpage).

Hey!
Great emulator but im missing tun.ko kernel for this! Is there any chance to using somehow openvpn on this???
Thanks!
tried yesterday windroy, it is amazingly fast but it is ics based some i'm now giving a try to windroye wich uses virtualization.
a kitkat based windroy would be amazing!
Some apps freeze and have to be restarted. Could it be a memory issue, or just general incompability?
Arm translation
I am having an issue where I am trying to install arm translation and I just cant figure out how to install the zip file. In genymotion its just drag and drop.
Works wonderfully here. I noticed though better not click on it when it is booting up. Also version 2.8.4 came out, but I can't download it (link not working). Anyone got solution?

thanks, got it. for anyone else looking, make sure you go directly to the site to search like lumanist advises. if you haven't heard already, google is hiding search results for kat and showing malware and fake sites instead: on one fake site, I was offered access to the download for $5 lol.
I've had bad luck with Windroye, The 2 games I play most have issues.
Simpsons Tapped Out, Runs great, no glitches, but it crashes frequently (Unfortunately, Tapped out has stopped).
Plants vs Zombies 2, Runs great but somehow my profile & progress get randomly erased, I'm able to get it restored but only after emailing Popcap support and having them restore it, Ive been playing the game in other emulators for 2 years and never had this happen, it happened twice in Windroye within 2 days.
I'm back to using Droid4X which has been trouble free with both games for several months now.
