[Q] S Note Eyedropper Tool? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone know how to use the eyedropper tool? I can get it to pick a color and it shows up in the color picker, but then I can't use it anywhere else. Once I'm onto another part of my note, and I open the color picker to use the color the eyedropper tool picked up, it's not there anymore. Only the default colors are there.
Any ideas?

I've opened another page in the note and the colour I picked up is next to the eyedropper tool. I don't understand, is yours not?

Hmm, yeah it is. Seems only to be available for the drawing tool, though. I guess I thought it would be available for any tool. For instance, I wanted to apply the same color to multiple headings in my note... a color I'd gotten using the color picker. But when I try to apply it to typed text, it's not available. I guess that's just how it is, for now.

XDA App - Enhancement/s ideas???

Hi All,
I've been quite closely following Alterbridge and his Overcome GB custom rom, and since i travel around alot, its been so worth my while following it through the XDA app.
The app itself is clean, no extra fuss, and gives exactly what you ask for. What i'm driving at here is, do you feel its missing anything? Maybe we can get the developer to join us and see if they like our ideas and possibly add them to the app.
i'll go first - i think the option to THANK someone in the forums, if they helped you in any way could possibly be added to the menu (for me in android, its long-pressing menu drop-down on a specific post )
The app itself is VERY similar to Tapatalk but its missing one of my must-have features. I would love there to be a "dark" theme that uses white text and a black background instead of black text and a white background. Just something to think about.
xda app
i still can't figure out how to post with it
Search function, being able to see the smileys instead of text wrapped in colons, ability to re-arrange the order of the favorites list, and the ability to attach files other than images.
I use the XDA app alot, probably more than I visit XDA on my PC, so I guess the little things that the tapatalk app don't do tend to bug me a little after awhile lol.

There is an option to use different themes. Press menu/more/settings/display style. And you want the simple theme.

How to choose background screen on s-memo?

Hi guys,
It could seem a strange answer but I have deleted all the pre-imposted sketches on s-memo and I remember they were all drawn on different backgrounds (White stripes, blank white, yellow notepad, etc.). Now when I open a new file I can only draw on yellow squared background. Does any of you know how to choose a different background? Thanks.

Open settings with the memo open.
Change background.
Profit.
Swyped from the white galaxy, 2 stars to the left.
There is no such option as change background!

Except there is! Sorry and thanks for your help!
Found the Cause... Changing the dpi makes it like that... so If you have changed the dpi..Make sure u download the modded s -memo app from xda and push it. No more lines then!
create a new memo go into the options and it has change background, you get a choice of 8
Anyone know where the memo background image files are stored? Or how to import your own files?

seems to be inside smemo.apk, in one of res/drawable-* folders
better info to could be probably found in modded smemo thread (for DPI's 200, 220 etc.)

Free icon Editing tool?

So here's the skinny... I want to edit a .png icon (from the circlelauncher app)
How do I do that? Do I have to pay for an app that has that feature, because all of the ones that I've found so far that CAN edit it are paid... I suppose I could download an aftermarket/cracked apk, but I'd rather not.
Suggestions? Literally I just want to add text to the middle of a red circle icon.

Paint.net
Much better then gump. Theres no icon edit program. U need a photo/art edit create program
Adpbe photoshop and paint.net are probobly the best 2.
Gimp is good to buy not for a noob.
I should have specified, something I can do from my phone or Tablet. I'm away from my computer for a while (traveling), customization helps kill time between meetings, lol

Photo editor is also good. For on phone. Dont try to edit .9.pngs on your phone though.
They reqire draw9patch. Or the ability to zoom in like 800 percent to see the border pixels
They have a 1 pixel border that u must not touch or it will corrupt them.
Can't get the backgrounds to stay transparent. Very frustrating.

If you use the erase tool. In paint.net it actually makes what ever you erase fully transparent.
And u can scale it any size u want. I have some transparent images i made i can post if u need and u can resize them on phone with photo editor
Here ya go.........
Thanks, but I still couldn't get it to go. Finally achieved the desired result by importing the .png into uccw and adding text, then using the png I created there as my icon in WL, lol.
End result : (the little circles are the ones I was trying to add text to)

Hello,
I prefer to use Sib Icon Editor to make small icons and image files.

Creating your own Template for S Note?

After thinking about it for a few days, I would like to create just a plain black background that I can use in S Note. I figured out that you need to modify the apk by replacing to .png images to the template you want. However, I have a problem re-installing the modified apk.
I have extracted the Snote_P4C.apk file from my tab and have modified it using APK-Multi-Tool. After resigning and attempting to install I am getting the following error;
Code:
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE]
I have read online that this has something to do with my packages.xml file which is here: http://pastebin.com/36CLWZxq
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would be willing to make a tutorial after
-Sbeanie
Can't you open a new note, then change background to your image? Is it what you want?
Sv: Creating your own Template for S Note?
ddavtian: since he's asking I assume he has the previous version of SNote and that doesn't support change background to your own image when you are in the note. Luckily there are a way to get around it and that is to select import image when you are in the app itself, where you can see all your notes and create new ones. This will create a note with the picture as background.
In the new version however, you just have to pick select image where you set the background and it works just like the stock backgrounds.

Text Icon Creator

I've been using Simple Text Icon Creator for a few years but it doesn't seem to be working on Marshmallow and it looks like it no longer has dev support (last update was in 2012). I'm looking for something similar or better to be able to create text icons. Any recommendations on a different app or how to get Simple Text working?

Did you ever find a solution to this, it appears i'm in the same boat now.
