Stock ROM.
And please also tell me how to instal CyagonMod on my Galaxy Fit.
To flash CyanogenMod, first of all you should have official (stock) gingerbread firmware(mine was 2.3.6 ddkt3). Then you need CWM recovery. I've Clockworkmod recovery by TJstyle. & then u need an appropriate CyanogenMod rom for Galaxy Fit. (For error free experience I would prefer an Official CyanogenMod rom.)
Follow the steps carefully AT YOUR OWN RISK or else, you'll end up bricking ur Fit.
So, once you have these, then
1. Switch off ur phone & press home+power buttons to enter recovery. (In the recovery screen, use home button for selection & power button for previous menu & volume keys for navigation.)
2. Select "wipe data/factory reset".
3. Select "wipe cache".
4. Select "advanced"->"wipe dalvik cache".
(If u r flashing CyanogenMod first time, goto "mounts & storage" & select "format /system".)
5. Return to main menu & select "install zip from sd" & then "choose zip from sd card".
6. Navigate to that CyanogenMod zip file you've downloaded and select it and confirm the process.
On the contrary, stock firmware has a whole different flashing process.
Hope this helps...!!!

I have installed ClockWork Mod recovery by TJ_Style but it shows unable to mount system etc.
But I will try it.
Hey! U don't have to mount system. U have to format /system & then proceed flashing CyanogenMod(as told above).

Full ROM Installation Instructions From Stock:
I'm currently trying to get Infused 1.5 on my Infuse.
1) First get root and install modded 3e recovery.
-done
2) Install ROM Manager from the Market and launch it.
-done
3) Select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and choose "Galaxy S i9000".
-done (I clicked it and nothing happened)
here it is becoming very confusing.
do i donwnload ROM first from the ROM Manager download section (if yes where does it store it)
4) If you've booted into CWM recovery since installing it, skip to step 5. If not, select "Reboot into Recovery". When 3e recovery comes up, select reinstall packages by pressing the power button. You will have to select it twice and then CWM recovery will come up. Select "reboot system now".
- this is too much
5) In ROM Manager, go to "Download ROM", select my section (gtg465x), select the latest release, and hit the download button.
The way i understand it is i download it first and then reboot into 'recovery mode' and from there i locate the ROM and choose flash.
6) When you get to the "Installation Type" prompt, select "Full".
7) Select your addons and follow the on screen prompts.
8) When you get to the "ROM Pre-Installation" prompt, select "Wipe Data and Cache" if you're coming from another ROM (or stock) or want a clean installation. You can uncheck "Wipe Dalvik" as it's included in "Wipe Data and Cache".
9) Press OK and hold your breath. When 3e recovery comes up, just select reinstall packages.
And another thing is how do i check whether i successfully installed 3e. I used a different file explorer, NOT the root explorer so i am a little worried, however, it let me mount as R/W and i managed to rename recovery into recovery.orig in system/bin/ as suggested. They both are in that folder now, the new recovery and the original one.
Please share your thoughts.
After you flashed clockwork mod, select "reboot into recovery" in rom manager. If it brings you to the blue(writing) recovery select "reinstall packages" you my have to do that a couple of times. After that it will bring you into green recovery(clockwork recovery). Then select reboot, after that go into rom manager download the rom you want, select full install, addons, wipe, and then it will restart the phone and start the install process. Since it has a Voodoo kernel it will take up to 15-20 minutes to boot up for the first time. Oh and after you see it saying installing rom, select reboot system then it will bring you to the samsung screen for a while(converting to ext4 voodoo).

Doesnt matter... You havent done anything distructive yet
I prefer to have everything dowloaded and ready before starting, incase my internet connection goes down.

There is a much simpler solution to this.. From stock, simply odin flash the voodoo community kernel and let it do it's thing on bootup. Voila, your rooted, lagfixed, and have red cwm... Stick a ROM on your sd card and flash away.
You can get into red cwm from turning off the phone, holding down both volume keys, press the power button until you see the samsung logo, and continue to hold the volume keys until you see red text
One note, at this point, never use rom manager, unless you want a brick. Green cwm doesn't know how to handle the ext4 partition. Only flash from red cwm.

Hello,
I need to unroot my Sensation coz I want to sent it back for replacement (or at least fix the battery cover - it's loose and make cracking noises)
My phone is originally unlocked and unbranded.
I have "only" rooted my phone. I haven't installed any custom roms on it.
Is there any simple way to unroot it and make S-on again, without loosing all the data on it? In other words, is it possible to "remove" the root and S-on without wiping the entire data on the phone?
Thanks in advance
Do you got stock recovery? If not then that is where I would start.

Yes, I'm on stock recovery. Where to go from there?
With this method you will loose data: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...19278-how-unroot-return-stock-ruu-method.html
Also there is this : http://theunlockr.com/2011/10/03/how-to-unroot-the-htc-sensation-4g/

But I have only heard of problems about the unlockr method.

Yes, it quite easy to unroot with the methods where all data is wiped.
I was more looking for a solutions where you can keep the data.
When it was rooted with:
Step 3. To permanently root your Sensation - (This means you will NOT LOSE ROOT on rebooting)
1. Download the file su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip from here: DOWNLOAD
2. Copy su-2.3.6.3-ef-signed.zip to your SD card root folder (main folder of your memory card)
3. Start clockworkmod recovery (instructions below. See To Start Clockwork recovery)
4. BACKUP YOUR ROM USING CWM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ROOT!
5. Navigate to "Backup & Restore" using the Volume Down button and press select (power button to select) then select "Backup"
6. Select "install zip from sdcard" after backing up
7. Then select "Choose zip from sdcard"
8. Then select "su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip"
9. Then select "Yes - install su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip" to confirm
10. Then go back
11. Then reboot.
12. You're rooted!
Can't you "reverse" this?
Like this
6. Select "install zip from sdcard" after backing up
7. Then select "Choose zip from sdcard"
8. Then select "su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip"
but just with an original/stuck SU?
Since I haven't installed any custom rom. There is still the stock rom on the phone.... Just wondering...
Naah It doesn't work that way :/
Sadly I do not know any way of unrooting your phone, without loosing your data.
Finally it happend, NEW CUSTOM ROM (CWM Backup Mode) made by me.

a) no comment
b) IMEI must be corrected and it is mentioned in a manual, it doesnt need to be done by terminal, you can simple generate a file and swap with a root explorer
c) This Rom is for A2107a-h which is a 2 slots device, so I dont see a problem on this point
d) I said as this is modiffication, I decide to remove a stock launcher, you can install any other one of your choice
e) I also answered to your question as for german language only original apps are translated and the main system, on other threeead is clearlly said as this rom using more locale 2 for translation.
f) and as a last one, why you expecting anything original in a modiffied ROM?
I stoping to doing anything with this ROM for a simple reason:
- FREE ROM = 900 downloads,
- PAID ROM FOR £5 = 5 downloads - embarrassing
Why?
and one more thing...
My correspondence with mrbonsen, when I tried to help him out with the installation process is also interesting. About 10 emails with instructions to mrbonsen and also 10 emails of insults from mrbonsen. That means something....
So conclusion is simply... go back to your original firmware and I will give you your £5 back

You did a great job and 900 downloads are impressive. i have a A2107A-H 1GHz 1GB RAM 16GB Flash - how come nobody is providing feedback or helping out in this development? Could there be a way to update.zip just the standard factory ROM? maybe that could be possible by doing a diff on the chinese and european source code? sorry i'm just a lamer looking to help out. any news from lenovo developers on the 4.1 release?
today is your cwm rom accessible for download for trial?
Ofcourse it is possible to get back the standard ROM just ask someone who still have a European ROM to do a copy by nandroid backup and you can restore this by centeCWM. So after that you will have a stock ROM with CWM but without calling feature.
I nearly finish another ROM with calling feature but this will be based on Russian ROM. I just need to get European system backup to do it same thing with European ROM.

Any method to flash jellybean via odin....
I want to install a custom rom on my phone for the first time,,, I am a noob, so can any one guide me the exact process what i have to do to install a custom jelly bean rom.
My phone is currently on stock gingerbread 2.3.6
My phone is unrooted, so please guide me step by step, to root it and to install a custom rom.... I hope somebody helps me...
I think after some search you should have learnt
But i'll give an advise ,firstly search cf root file which is suitable one according to your baseband like xxkpq etc.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda app-developers app
best way to do it bug free is...
first get the odin software in pc , then download the stock xxkpe rom (google them to get) . Now download the cf-root for xxkpe rom (i9003) .
mostly you will get the procedure for installing and rooting on the same page from where u'll download the above mentioned files (its in very easy steps).. Now when you are successfully rooted , download the CM10 alpha 4 (jelly bean for i9003) from xda , also get the latest gapps file.
Now store these two zip files (DO NOT EXTRACT THEM) in your memory card (don't put them in folders) , now power off the phone & restart in recovery mode (vol up+ home+power) then go to wipe data/fact. reset and hit ok, also clear the db data in advance menu , once done go to 'install zip from sd card' then select the CM10 file & install ....after installing , again do wipe data then go to 'reboot in recovery' (this will reboot ur phone and take u back to recovery menu) . Now again install zip from sd card & this time select the gapps file. once done go to reboot device. Now ur phone will boot in CM 10 style (first boot takes much time so be patient) & DONE ......congo, you have now a galaxy i9003 with jelly bean ........and now you are free to try all cm10 based roms like x-gamerz, ehndroix , etc just flash them from recovery as directed by the developer of that specific rom......hope it helped..
