[Q] Switch between OS on HD2 / uninstalling froyo 2.2 from hd2

Hi,
I am new to this forum. sorry if i repeat the question but I tried looking all over and I could not find any answer for my question, which is as follows...
1. If I experiment froyo 2.2 on my HTC HD2, how do i swith to and forth between Android (froyo 2.2) OS and Windows Mobile OS. Is it easy to do so?
2. If I don't like froyo running on my HTC HD2 because of technical difficulty, how do I switch back to original HD2 operating system, like I never tried Froyo installation (in other words - how do i completely uninstall froyo from the device)?
Sorry if I repeated the questions, but, again as I said, I could not found it on the forum.
Thanks
It actually just runs from the memory card so basically you just have to restart the phone, let it load windows mobile then delete the android mobile on the sd card. Below is the section for android roms basically just download and unzip to your sd card in an "Android" folder there might be more to it, but there is a thread with instructions too.

I had the same question and searching for the answer has led me to your post. I understand that the Froyo system files reside on the SD card but I'd imagine some sort of startup file on the phone itself has to be modified to point the boot sequence to the SD card. Is that correct and if so, what file(s) is modified on the phone? More specifically, I'm researching the Froyo install and want to do it without any custom ROMs, just stock, but I'd like to make sure I can remove all traces should I need to send it in for warranty purposes.
abc12121, did you get any more information on this that you could share? Can anybody else explain what, if anything, is modified on the phone to point to the Froyo install on the SD card? Or how the boot process works?
Thanks!
Superram Froyo not loading
I recently installed Superram Froyo from Darkstone on my HD2. It worked absolutely great for a day. Then all of a sudden, it stopped loading. I tried to repeat the process of booting but all it does is shows the green HTC logo and then the screen goes dark...and stay that way. Any advice or help is appreciated since I was begining to really enjoy it.

[Q] HTC Touch diamond - Fully working Android version wanted.

Hi all,
I am not starting this thread without doing my research.
I have installed few android versions (some will install and some won't). And the one I was able to install were not fully functional. They were either alpha or beta versions.
I can do with either 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3.
Can someone please tell me if there is a version out there that I can install and work perfect or near perfect on my HTC Touch Diamond?
I have been trying to search this forum and everytime I come accross a perfect version, it won't load on my phone. I am not sure what am I missing.
Hope someone understand where I am coming from.
I can describe where I am getting stuck etc as well.

A Small Query Regarding Andriod Installation on HTC Touch Diamond
Hi All,
I have a small query.
I am trying to install Andriod on my HTC touch diamond after reading from threads, the query is that where exactly i have to dump the extracted files. what is meant by "Internal storage"
If i place it in Internal storage i.e the 4GB one and try to run "haret.exe" its says that "cauld not read trailer"
and if i am trying to place it in the root folder i.e "my device" in parallel to "windows", "program file" etc its says not enough disk space. when i checked the memory available its less and data is larger... and just to be clear that HTC is not having data i already did a hard reset and removed my all data.
can you please help me.
Thanks!!!

[Q] Size of system partition ?

First, I'd like to apologize for my bad english.
Second, I'd like to thanks all of the members of this forum for their work and in advance for helping me to solve my problem.
I'd to install the last version of Tytung's ROM NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.3 but I don't understand very well this sentence :
Please use at least 180MB system partition and at least 2MB cache partition.
Click to collapse
Actually my HD2 is running Windows Phone and I haven't do any operations yet.
_I'd Like to use HD2 Android NAND Toolkit because it seems more simple to use but which sizes must I choose for MAGLDR and cLK ?
_And most important, can I really install Tytung's ROM on my HTC with only 512 Mo RAM ?
Please, help me quit Windows Phone for a real system !

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437463
4. Install Magldr where You can choose system from NAND or SD to boot

A usefull tool for hd2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Go with instructions and have fun. And don't brick it.
don't do dual boot as you must place the android in SD card. the performance will go lower than android nand-based.
