Decided to try the new Hulu Plus app since it has been updated. I am no longer getting the dreaded error 93 DRM check, but now when I try to load a video ads will play but when the video is about to start I get error "Streaming Unavailable [52]". Can anyone comfirm that it is happening on your device, maybe they finally got rid of the DRM check? Would love it if someone could verify, might have better luck then me.
It seems that EOS 4.2 rom is able to pass the drm check, but 4.1 roms don't.

Anyone get the new video app to play market rentals? Mine keeps saying "failed to fetch license (error 12)".
Are you rooted? It blocks rooted devices
not rooted
Yea, I know about that. :-(
No, not rooted.
Hello everyone,
I've read a lot forums with people nagging about not getting the update to Google Play Store 4. My problem is that I'm getting it. I'm running ICS at the moment. This android version has still the market updater, witch i've frozed (probaly misspelled frozed) (with link2SD) and the second time I uninstalled it. I also used the Lucky Patcher noupdate patch, but GPS4 keeps returning. Does anyone know anything to let me stay at GPS3? Maybe a other way or a mod? Disable write rights to phonesky.apk?
I hope someone does, thanks, nathan-96
The new HBO Now app in the Play store is not fond of being on a rooted phone. When I try to play a video I get an error message saying "Unable to play video on this device." I tried finding a fix similar to what is explained here bypass whatever root check it was doing, but looks like its not quite as simple as it was in that app. Also tried using RootCloak, but still got the error. Anyone have any ideas?
Let me know if I left out any relevant/useful info.
Device: Nexus 6
ROM: Chroma
Ditch HBO if they are going to jump that bandwagon (like Flixster did).
I'd say if you aren't using it at home (get yourself a cheap pre-paid android) you are SOL until someone develops something specific for HBO.
give up? really?

That's not an answer.
Keep digging, you will find a way around it.
I just noticed while watching Netflix it being grainy, I look in the settings and the max quality is SD, looked further and looks like the Widevine certification dropped from L1 to L3 over night. Tried to get the app from this forum to work but no success, getting error message GET KEY FAILED. Anyone has any solutions? Factory reset didn't help - in fact ended with removing play store certification which I was able to restore clearing data of play store and play services. I don't want to have a beautiful screen showing content in 540p... Firmware is CPH2025CPW_11_A.30
Since you managed to find the app you also know there already is a thread for this, so why on earth did you open a new thread for an already existing topic? If you've read the main thread then you also know that as of now there simply is no other solution than to send it in for service.
However, the .42 global version got released a few days ago, maybe somebody from those affected can tell if this update changes it back to L1 again one they get it...
Hello everyone, first time posting here. I apologize is it's not the correct place or if it is a complete waste of time.
I have a couple of questions about the Sony S Tablet. For the past 5 days I have been trying to figure out why I keep getting a "no connection" error every time I tried to install an app from the play store. I had try everything that i could possibly find to fix this problem to no success. I did not have root explorer because I guess i did a factory reset at some point. I have ICS on the tablet which was rooted a long time ago.
Anyways, I tried everything under the sun that I could find and ended up removing the root privilege ( didn't even know i could do that). then after I used the kingoroot PC version to root again. I removed the hosts file under /system/etc and still did not fix my problem. Also managed to uninstall the play store app
Anyways, I am pretty much giving up hope for anything else., however I kind of want to use the tablet just to watch streaming like HULU and NETFLIX. I can use netflix but i can't not get hulu to work whatsoever. It seems that the problem that plagues this app is the same that I had when trying to install something from the the play store.
Is there any hulu APKs around that I could still use as well as being able to re-install the play store? I'm completely out of ideas and by now just want to be able to use netflix and hulu is nothing more.
Any help from anyone? comment or suggestions are very appreciated.
