when i flash cm10 with rom manager on p920 with cwm recovery (non touch) this happens
youtube(dot)com/watch?v=EbO6zCdJNEM
any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
Since you didn't specify anything that you tried , I'm gonna assume you did nothing.
First i'm gonna tell you what I did because it worked in my case.
You should start over.
First flash v21e with v21e baseband.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540163
Follow this guide to root and install recovery do not forget to update superuser and it's binary (recovery gets all funky and starts to blink if you don't)
Binary update is under the info tab in the app.
flash the recovery non-touch! This is the important bit. Standart clockwork recovery.
When you're done power off and hold volume down and 3d and press the power button till it vibrates.
Flash cm10's latest nightly and gapps.
It should boot.
If it doesn't boot or restarts after 2 mins or no cell reception , you have an incompatible baseband. V21e is problematic even with ICS so I flashed v21d and now it's all better.
if it's still causing problems try Bernie's files they are like garlic to a vampire or so I heard.

Well it's the fastest ROM available for p920.
I only give credit when it's due.
It's almost stable now it's getting "daily" updates.
Just a small amount of bugs left.
It won't be long.

I removed the ICS build and use ODIN to return back to stock build.
Still having some problem so i did a data reset. It keep getting stuck there and i already done it three times.
Any suggestions?
So you flashed GB stock.tar through Odin? Do you mean factory/data reset in clockwork recovery? Flashing back to stock should take away your root so you would have to flash CWM again, make a nandroid backup, and flash superuser zip again.
What problems where you having before and after the ICS build?
Explain a bit further exactly what you did.
I installed STOCK Tar using ODIN.
It is booting up fine except i keep getting errors like "android.process.acore" has stopped unexpectedly. Most of the android apps is not working, like phone, contacts, calendars, etc.
I try to do a factory reset and it keep stopping halfway and hangs.
Your going to have to flash the kj2 modem. I had the same problem. I saw that the ucalc4 was still there, its on its own partition so it doesn't get changed when you flash stock tar. What I did...
1. Flash cwm in Odin
2. Boot into cwm (do backup)
3. Flash kj2 modem (I did it twice)
4. Reboot
5. Check baseband (should be uckj2)
This made the FC's go away. It seemed to me that the stock tar doesn't like that baseband, I can't explain why though. Didn't make sense to me but I fixed it. Also I found the ICS leak doesn't like stock recovery. Fyi

Little bit lost here.
I already flash it twice using ODIN and using the uckj2 build.

Build is one thing, baseband is different. When you flash stock your build will be uckj2, you say your on it. OK good. Now check your baseband, will probably still be the ICS baseband ucalc4, that is your modem. You need to flash the uckj2 modem in cwm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20157930
Once you flash that your baseband will be uckj2. That should fix your fc's. Did for me. If not, you may need to try something else which I will explain if need be that will clean things up.

OK. What you need to do then is clean things up. There are two ways that I use but I prefer #1.
1. Flash darkside superwipe in cwm. Do a battery pull. Go into Odin and flash k0nanes tar.
OR
2. Flash stock recovery. Wipe data/factory reset. Do a battery pull. Go into Odin and flash k0nanes tar.
Then you can cwm, root, flash anything you want.

basically those fc's were becuz the partition table needs to be reset after flashing ics to go back to gb. Darkside does this.

Anyone know of a fix for the freeze on power off or restart? Could'nt get flash from odin working. Flashed nandroid backup version then mhx backup version over it. I also cleared caches, delvik, and formatted. Still freezes on power off or restart. Lokking for a simple fix hopefully!!
quickboot from market, or 14 toggle mod for ics
14 toggle mod didn't work for me, but i did read that romracers kernel fixed this problem for some. I'm gonna give it a try when i get home

Should've searched first. Sorry...Factory reset a few times and it'll start working or like above said 14 toggle mod and also holding power for 10 seconds does the trick. Ill stick with 14 toggle method until fully working CM9 Kang version is done over in T989 Section. Thanks guys! Close Thread!!
Just keep re-flashing till it works.
I've flashed four times. It worked two of the flashes, didn't work the other two flashes.

It gets cooler. Here is what I did.
Had working shutdown on ICS leak and a nandroid of the same.
Flashed mhx's deodexed ICS and had freez on shutdown
Did a nandroid restore to the original ICS leak but the shutdown issues persisted.
ODIN flashed stock (3e) recovery and did a factory reset.
ODIN flashed latest clockworkmod touch and wiped delvik, system, cache, and data.
Restored the original ICS nandroid and problem solved.
Did not try with mhx's ROM though.

I've used almost all the custom firmwares in my i9003 every singly Roms worked.
However, as soon as I flash the stock roms, i am stuck in the samsung boot animation.
Also, I wonder if this is for everyone or not but everytime i flash a new rom (Dhiru's ICS and RemICS) I have to press all the keys randomly (vol up/dwn, ok key / power key) for the complete boot. Once the boot is complete, there are no problems...
<yes, I searched for the fix reading many posts... seems no one faced the problem i am facing :/>

I used MIUI (GB) for a while... missed some of the features of the stock ROM so flashed the stock rom...
Now I use RemICS...
Saw the new value pack update and tried flashing XXKPE, no luck. then I did the procedure 2-3 times (everytime stuck in bootloop)
and then flashed DDLF2, no luck on this one too...
Flashing CF-Root and i'll try wiping cache and dalvik, will share what happens
if not going to RemICS

Firstly pal, you need to CALM down and think of the most appropriate terms for your problem, you mean you can switch roms before with no problems right? Then now your in boot loop? Maybe you failed to flash the stock roms. If going to xxkpq first flash xxkpe latona.pit then after that other file of xxkpe then xxkpq. Then start experimenting but make sure you wipe caches and dalvik cache,

I had xxkpq to begin with. Flashed to MIUI (GB, using CF-root), worked great so I used it for a while. Few weeks later a new post pops up Dhiru's ICS, I flashed it using CF-root. Got stuck in bootloop and was angry so pressed all the keys randomly, to my biggest surprise i got out of the boot loop and the installation was successful.
Then I tried going back to stock <kpe, kpq, kph and now ddlf2> and i got stuck in bootloop <random keypress does not work>. So I used MIUI for a while then went to Dhiru's ICS till alpha 7 and then used RemICS v1.3. RemICS v1.4 is too buggy for me and now I have no daily-use rom to go turn to.

Yes. I've tried that... I just can't install the stock roms for some reason.
Btw i also realized that it's pressing power key and volume up/down that makes my ICS boot complete.
M on the RemICS at the moment. works fine but got problem with settings and wallpapers (i guess that is the Rom's bug but noone has reported yet :/)

I had the same problem with 2.1 and 2.5 on my phone. For some reason, the flash does not work on my phone the first time. both times I had to pull the battery when I got stuck on the boot screen then boot into recovery, re-wipe, fix permissions and reinstall. It always worked for me on the second try.
Good luck.

Did you do a dalvick cache wipe too? Also were you flashing a kernel with 2.5? Are you coming from stock or a custom rom too? And if you are coming from a custom rom does it use a custom kernel? You should also check the md5 of the rom and verify it didnt get corrupt on download/transfer.

Yes i wiped the dalvick, fixed permissions, formatted just about everything and factory reset, when that did not work I formatted and wiped everything before and after the flash. still no luck. I was not flashing a kernel, (to be honest im not even sure how to do that) and im coming from a stock rooted rom that i got when i first rooted with odin. I checked the md5 and everything matched up too.
How!?

The process of how you flashed sounds right.
When you say it's stuck forever, how much time did you give the phone to reboot. Sometimes with a new rom, it may take 5 min or longer for reboot to finish. If you haven't already, just walk away for 5-10 min before checking it.

Clean rom wouldn't install for me on my phone... Weird stuff happened on the screen during boot animation and then would vibrate like crazy and go into boot loop... I came to realize that it was the kernel and I flashed lean kernel and it worked perfectly... I think these roms act differently on everyone's phones and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to why things work for some people and not others... Just my. 02 cents
