Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 – Process For Root & Install Custom Recovery Image

Samsung Galaxy Fit is one of the most famous device which is known because of it’s affordability and great price. Galaxy Fit users can now enjoy Rooting the device, and due course of this article we will tell you how you can install Custom Recovery on your device after Rooting it..
Warning for Beginners:
Note: This is an rooting and installing process for the mobile phone named Galaxy Fit S5670 and has to be applied to the Mobile phone using the Recovery Mode in the mobile phone. The steps which are included in this guide are very risky and can even brick off your mobile phone. Unless you are aware with Custom ROMS, Firmwares and ODIN, don’t even try these things on your mobile phone..
Pre-Requisites to Root and Install Custom Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Fit
The instructions are working for Samsung Galaxy Fit, S5670 Originally manufactured.
Backup all of your SMS Messages using SMS Backup Application.
Sync all of your Contacts with the Gmail Application.
Copy all of your notes manually to somewhere else, as if in case your mobile phone gets bricked these notes will be deleted from the mobile phone.
Take a backup of call logs, APN Settings, and other important things.
Charge your mobile phone so that it would be having more than 60% battery.
Now, enable USB Debugging Mode in your mobile phone (Settings > Applications >Development > USB Debugging).
Samsung Device drivers installed in your computer.
Follow all steps carefully in order to get 100% assured success.
How To Root and Install Custom Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Fit
Note: We have written each and every step clearly in order to make the rooting process successful but if any wrong step is taken then Neither me nor thedroidnation.com will be held responsible in case your device gets bricked.
Download Odin, Rooting File and the OPS File from the links to your computer and move them to a new folder in order to prevent any confusions.
Turn off your mobile phone and bring the mobile phone to download mode (hold the Volume Down button + Home Key + Power Button and the device will start itself).
Now, Shoot up the ODIN executable file.
Click on the OPS Tab in the ODIN window and select the “BENI_v1.0.ops” file after that tick the “One Package” option and select the file “beni_cwm-5_ext4_v2“.
Connect your mobile phone to the computer, and wait for the device drivers to get installed. After the installation of drivers is complete then the ID:COM section in the ODIN downloader window will turn yellow.
Wait for some time, and as soon as the installation is complete the phone will reboot itself. Now, you can remove the USB cable.
Now, You can access recovery mode on your mobile phone by holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key and the device will start itself.
Now, select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” one-by-one and the device caches will be cleared off. After this select “Wipe dalvik cache“.
Congratulations!! You’ve successfully installed Custom Recovery in your Samsung Galaxy Fit...

1.Download The update.zip from this link
2.Put In the sdcard.
3.Boot In the recovery menu by pressing "home + power" button.
4. select "apply update.zip" from the menu.
5.wait 2-5 seconds to take the effect

Livesuit prompt “force format”, click “Yes” (Y). All of the original apps installed will be removed.

Pop-up “OK to force format” dialog box, select “Yes”, the upgrade begins:

9. Automatic restart

Hello!
I bought 3 zeki tablets for my kids for xmas. I was able to follow another thread to put google play on them, and 2 of the 3 work great.
One of the tablets keeps freezing though. I did a factory reset, but in doing so, google play update stayed. So I found this thread and tried to follow the directions above.
Now I can't even get the tablet to turn on. :/
I am assuming it is something I did, and I am hoping that someone can help.

I am in desperate need of a rom dump or even just the ft5x_ts.ko from a non 4.04 upgraded version of the Zeki TB 782B. If anyone reads this anymore and has one that has no been updated please send me a reply, I have found a way to repair ALL currupted FT5x touch panels but need an unmodified module to verify the process will work on other models as well.

I have run the Livesuite and it appears to not work and I have been stuck for quite sometime. I need some help with getting a proper working image I was going to try to use:

CWM-based Recovery for LAVA Z7H Tablet

Lava E-tab Z7H has a very worst recovery system. So I am giving a new CWM based recovery mode.
Advantages of recovery mode-
1. You can backup your total tablet system to your internal/external SD card.
2. If you face software related any problem again you can enter into the recovery mode & restore the tablet back to the same position earlier you are at the time of backup.
Steps-
1. Download this zip file. CWM_Recovery ( ) or Billionupload ( ) or Mediafire ( )
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Connect your lava tablet & make sure it is on.
4. If you have not installed the driver for this driver in your pc then
a) Go to device manager ("Win Key + r" then type "devmgmt.msc").
b) See an yellow unknown device which driver is not installed. Click on that & click update driver.
c) Then "Browse my computer for driver" & browse to your extracted zip file folder.
5. After updation of driver finished you have to click "1.##Recovery.bat" from the extracted folder. Make sure your tab is connected to pc & switched on.
6. Click 'y' in the command window & press any key to continue when prompted by command window.
7. Now your tablet will reboot into CWM-based recovery mode. You can see a HAT.
8. Bingo!! You are done in installing your new CWM recovery. Read next very Important.
How to backup you full System-
1. In the recovery menu you can see many option like "reboot system now"...to "advanced", with a HAT .
2. Use your volume up & down button for navigate & power button to Enter.
3. Now go to "backup and restore".
4. Now click on "backup to internal sdcard" (Recommended) or if you have an external sd card just click "backup".
5. Now sit back for 5-10 min. & let it do the whole system backup. Don't touch your tab.
6. After it says finished backup shut down your tab by long press power button.
8. Bingo!! You have backed up your Total tablet. Now Go on no need of formatting the tablet & re-installing of all your fav. apps again & again.
How to restore to your previous backup-
1. This process is little bit harassing.
2. Switch on your tab & listen to a small sound (tap) 1 sec. after you switch on at the time of small android logo.
3. Press the volume up key suddenly or it will enter into the home as usual.
4. If you miss it then you have to try again the above steps again.
5.After entering into the recovery mode go to the "backup and restore" and then "recover from internal memory".
6. Bingo!! Now you are done with your restoration. Switch off & then switch on your tab.

There is always a risk for root.but this is a safe method.
To root,
1. Download & copy the below attached "update.zip" to the root of your sdcard.
2. Turn off phone.
3. Press & hold (Power + Volume Up + Home) keys & release when sgy duos logo appears.
4. You will be in recovery, select "select update.zip from sdcard".
Remember in recovery touchscreen will not work use volume up down & home keys.
5. Select "update.zip".
6. Yes

1 .DOWNLOAD the file below.
2. put this in you sdcard (put it directly, not in any folder or anywhere) and it sould be named as "update.zip " without the quotes
3. switch off phone
4. Now Boot you phone in recovery mode by pressing Home Key+Volume Up Key + Power Key together for few seconds until you see samsung galaxy y logo
5. After that you will be taken to a menu, in this UI your touchscreen facility will not work, so use volume keys for scrolling up and down, home button to select and power key to go back.
6. In that menu select update from SD card and select the zip file which you have recently copied it in your SD card.

[Guide] Win7/8 Usb Drivers Installation for Sp tool

Hi Guys,
I am writing this tutorial on how to install usb drivers for sp tools on pc for our Magnus device. I and my friends struggled a lot in installing these drivers so this is to help my other friends.
This will help even if you are not getting any popup or phone in device manager list.
Below are the steps, will also attach screen shots to make it easy.
1.Go to Control Panel and open Device Manager
2.Right click and select Add legacy hardware (also can be from from Action menu)
3.Add hardware wizard will be opened, click next
4.Select "Install hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)"
5.Click next and click Have Disk option
6.Click browse and find where your driver .inf file is (download from the link attached at end of post), then select it. (I selected usb2ser_Win764.inf, select usb2ser_Win7.inf if its 32-bit)
7.Click Open/Ok You will see drivers listed... Select your driver there and click next and finish installing. I have used Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port.
8. Hit that thanks button on left
For Windows 8.
If you are getting error like: “The third party INF does not contain digital signature information”, you need to disable Driver signature enforcement in windows.
1. Open the Charms Bar, select “Settings” --> “Change PC Settings” --> select General
2. Scroll to the bottom of the General page and select “Restart Now” under “Advanced Start-Up”
3. Once the PC comes back up, select “Troubleshoot”
4. Select “Advanced Options”, select “Start-Up Settings” and select the Restart button
5. Press the F7 key (or the number 7 key) from your computer keyboard. This disables the Driver Signature Enforcement, which will allow you to install unsigned drivers.
After the PC reboots, install the drivers normally.

It should be the same for windows 8 too. Choose 64 bit and 32 bit depending on your system and you are good to go

For Windows 8.
If you are getting error like: “The third party INF does not contain digital signature information”, you need to disable Driver signature enforcement in windows.
1. Open the Charms Bar, select “Settings” --> “Change PC Settings” --> select General
2. Scroll to the bottom of the General page and select “Restart Now” under “Advanced Start-Up”
3. Once the PC comes back up, select “Troubleshoot”
4. Select “Advanced Options”, select “Start-Up Settings” and select the Restart button
5. Press the F7 key (or the number 7 key) from your computer keyboard. This disables the Driver Signature Enforcement, which will allow you to install unsigned drivers.
After the PC reboots, install the drivers normally.

Hi.. For Windows 8.1...I Installed using "installdrv.exe" It is saying USB driver installed.
Thats it...Do I need to do any thing else??? like windows7???

Can you post for Windows 8.1...lot of changes happened in 8.1 compare 8 so....I am searching General in Change PC settings its not there...so stopped!!!
