[App] SwiftKey Flow beta- The nextgen keypad ! - HTC Sensation

The nextgen keypad from the SwiftKey team is finally out for the users. But its still in its beta version. So you folks can give it a try. Its definitely worth a shot. An awesome keypad !
SwiftKey Flow adds support for gesture-based typing, which means you can type by sliding your finger from one key to another without lifting it off the screen. The best feature is that you can type whole sentences without lifting your finger off the screen ! Thats cool is it not.

Without Chinese language!

I must admit that the prediction is really good, even with the slide gesture (compared to other swyping keyboard i tried)

I quite like the new keyboard on fact I'm using it right now! The only small niggle is that the swype to delete is now gone.

long press back button

Great app. Thanks for the suggestion.
If I buy Swiftkey3 will I have access to the Flow (not beta) when it realeases?

I noticed that long press works, it just disrupts the general flow of typing, especially when the rest of the experience is butter smooth

No, I don't think so. SwiftKey flow is a completely new keypad.

I had heard that after the beta expires on the 13th of January, it will be bundled along with SwiftKey 3, or perhaps 4

I am sure hope that it will be merged into the current SwiftKey. It would suck to have to pay for another keyboard

ehhhh
As a swype user, I liked that it seemed like swype, but it's not the same. The predictions were a bit wonky and I'd have to correct it too often. I feel like it still caters more to the "tapper" crowd. A good app for what is advertises to be, just not for me.

Just tested and it is crap compared to stock Android 4.2

Keyboard from Donut

I really love the keyboard we had on Donut, the one from SE, i was wondering if someone of u guys have it somewere? , if u do, please could you share it?
Regards
I would be grateful for that application as well. This new keyboard is not bad, but its not as as good as the old one on which I'm used to. So please, if some of you have it, upload it for us.
Thanks

If you only use the arrow buttons to move the cursor there is now a better way. Just tap the text, it will then appear on the "suggestion's bar". Now slide the bar left or right to move the cursor.

Indeed. I used to type like this using t9 on my old Sony Ericsson w800i. Swype gives you quite the same feelings.
Anyways, pretty interesting experience so far. @Droid.. I would suggest you to give it another shot. It might be hard for the first time but it's fun afterwards.

Patos via tapatalk.
For people like me that often write in more than one languange (English and Spanish for example) SwiftKey Tablet X (or Swiftkey X) is simply the best keyboard for any device because you don't have to keep switching languages while you type, it auto detects and corrects on any language (up to three) at the same time!
I did read that there are not many themes and for Spanish are some issues with ñ character, any comments?
Both really stop my buy.

I installed touchpal, and seems like it is not scaled properly, i.e., the keys are sided to the left, instead of taking up all the horizontal span, can you tell me how to make it take up all the space? Plus, it also seems when pressing on a word that wasn't in the dictionary doesn't bring up the option to save it, can you point me to the solution(s)? Thanks ps: I'm using ics build from the chinese leak...

You can use any keyboard you have installed. Touch and hold anywhere in the writing area and choose your preferred input method. It will remain until you change it again in the same way.

I'm using imilka's AOSP rom, and I have the same problem with TouchPal. But I have to mention that I have the tablet interface and I changed the display density. SwiftKey 3 Beta Download!

Hi everybody, TouchType Ltd. have decided to release their latest beta for the ever popular SwiftKey today for free
Seeing as the demand for the beta is hammering their servers, I decided to upload the .apk to my dropbox for everybody to enjoy. Just download and install like you would with any other app
Here's the file: http://db.tt/GHjXdQi7
FYI, this is a FREE, OPEN beta and therefore this is a FREE APP. I understand the rules of xda, and I do not condone or promote pirating in any way!
Sent from my Galaxy Note, using Tapatalk 2 Beta 5!
thanks dude
can you upload the changelog here, or what's new and different in this version compared to the retail one?

can someone explain why they removed the comma key?
B4 this I'm using the old version ...I will test this too...
i'm back to the retail version, this one just doesn't cut it for me somehow
there were more features with the retail version settings, especially the long press duration, and the punctuation keys being separated.

Probably because some people, like me, were complaining that the old space bar was too freaking narrow. I kept accidently hitting the period. It's way better now.
The comma is now more of a swipe - a fine tradeoff imho.

For me the old version is much better. The beta lags (ok the final version might fix this). But the layout without comma is stupid. There is more then enough room for a direct comma key, at least in the landscape on a 10" device. If there's no other way they could remove the stupid SwiftKey key or make it as second feature for comma.
Another point is the lacking option to change long key press duration for secondary assignment.
The possibility to learn from older SwiftKey in addition to Gmail, Facebook and Twitter would be nice too.
At the moment I will not test it on my Note, maybe I'll give some later versions a try.

Call me goofy, but let the USER make the decision on the spacebar size?
