[Q] UK / Europe / EE ... RUU for HTC One XL - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Is there a specific RUU for the UK (EE / Orange) OneXL
looked through the stock RUUs on the threads here but couldn't find one.

What's the firmware version? I'm not sure I've seen one for that carrier.

I didn't check before rooting it (stupid) but have the hardware deets posted here

AFAIK all the European One Xs are not One XLs. The OneXL is the LTE version.

Not sure I get you. I know my handset is a One XL and I'm looking for the OneXL RUU for Europe, EE, or even Orange UK [hardware specs suggest that's what on the phone]

That is no longer the case. The One XL has been available in Europe for months.

So in the meantime thought to try some odexed stock roms. Settled on this Telstra Stock. You may need to manually setup APN settings. Basically just give the APN name "everywhere" and thats it.

Anyone had any luck with the RUU? there's an OTA but if i understand it correctly you need the correct RUU before running an OTA update manually. i.e. i cant run the orange uk OTA over the say Telstra RUU

Roger 1.83 update

Have a rogers one xl unlocked bootloader rooted. Can i install 1.83 then root and debrand with no problems?
Cheers
Where did you get this update from? I just checked mine and it said no available updates.
hes talking about the att update.
no dont install it
Yeah the att one if i install it what will happen i dont see why i cant when att users can install the rogers firmware but that makes no sense why rogers users cant install att firmware? Weird.
you have to be s-off to install other carrier's rom.
it depends on your cid.
I believe rogers cid is
CID-ROGERS001
Either you have your device in s-off mode...
or you need the signature to match I think...
But why can att users use the superpatch to use the rogers rom. Can someone just create a superpatch for rogers users to use the att firmware
Why do you want att so bad? There's nothing in that ruu that benefits you...

haha, yours is At&t right. I would give you a new Rogers HOX with which you can unlock bootloader if you send me 550$.

Firstly, the superpatch is for the shipping ROM on the AT&T OneX. If you run it on an updated one, it will replace files with older ones and potentially cause problems.
Without being able to safely run the superpatch, you'll be left with many of the deficiencies that AT&T users experience vs. our Rogers phones. Like no LTE toggle, and probably that issue where youtube links don't open in the youtube app.

[Q] Supercid

i've been roaming the HTC One S forums a lot lately, and i've been seeing 'supercid'... i've tried researching on numerous websites but can't quite understand what it is? was wondering if anyone could explain what it is exactly and what it does... thanks
each One S has a CID number, This relates to which country / region the device is from. HTC__001 means HTC Generic Unbranded, As it left the factory, Now most carriers change this to make the phone run their branded software and to receive their branded OTA updates.
Example, Mine is VODAP100 - Which means i can only get updates from Vodafone, not HTC, If i change that to HTC__001 i can get updates from HTC and not Vodafone.
If you change it to 11111111 (superCID) then you will bypass the CID check It also allows you to flash ANY RUU from anywhere in the world allowing you to run, for instance, UK software on a US model or any combination for that matter.
So say there is a Firmware upgrade that is released in the US, It includes various bug fixes and is required to upgrade to a higher Android version, But your in Hong Kong and cannot get this update, You can change your CID and be able to flash this firmware (S-OFF maybe needed)
damn man thats as good of an explanation as am gonna find anywhere! thanks man! how do I change my phones CID btw? am on TMOUS ..thanks again

Telstra RUU 1.89 install on One XL Asia variant

Hey Guys, I've done a bit of reading and I'm stumped.
I currently have an HTC One XL Asian version 16gig, and looking at putting the RUU 1.89 from Telstra on it.
1) I've got root.
2)Change CID to SuperCID 11111111
(OneClick_CID_Spoof.bat is giving this error, "Token [HTC__622] must be [CWS__001]"
Can I just edit the batch file to allow the patch to complete?
Is there anything I'm missing or tips or even if it can be done?
Thanks,
Yes, replace either the AT&T or Rogers cid with yours and re-run it.

Thanks,
Also, will have I have problems as my XL is 16gig and Telstra's XL is 32gig.
I can't see why you would.
Why don't you just flash one of the Telstra Roms? There's a few around with the 1.89 base.

T-Mob DE HTC one S Z520e

Hello everyone.
I am trying to find a Z520e for a long time but unfortunately all the providers in my country only have the z560e.
I finally found in the market a z520e which is from T-Mobile DE of I am not wrong.
My question is that since the phone is Tmob branded, does this mean that I might have any issues? In my HTC desire I remember that branded phones had to have goldcards etc when flashing. Does this occur to the One S as well or can I flash let's say the viper S Rom without any issues to be concerned?
Am I gonna be able to change the Tmob Rom with the current official HTC WWE update?
Best regards,
T.

I have a T-Mobile one and have no problems flashing and rooting.

Ok, but can you flash the WWE Rom without root or only the tmob version?
I will root for sure, but I want to be sure that in case of warranty I will be able to find the stock ROM.
Also, do you know if Tmob z520e have the new housing that is not prone to chipping? Is there any picture to see the actual differences?
I have been searching for so long for a z520e..
Cheers

You'll need to root first and then change CID in order to be able to flash any other RUU than the official TMO one. EVenif you lock the bootloader again, it'll show 'tampered'.

Please search and read in the appropriate thread. Also my device is one of the first ones sold in Germany I didn't have this certain problem (and no others as well!) :good:

Thanx again mate..
So if the serial number is bigger than SH/HT24 or 25 it will be the revised version?? Which one did you have from Tmob DE??
Also, do you run custom ROM like Viper S? how much space do you have left after clean install?

Htc one xl latest software version

Hi all,
I just wanted to find out if I am using the latest software released by HTC for One XL. I am using international version of unlocked one's xl.
As per the screenshot my software version is 3.17 but I have read at a few places that the latest version is 3.18
Also I think this might be important to state here that I am supercid
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
3.18 is only for AT&T (US). 3.17 is the newest firmware for your version.
I do not believe there were any significant changes that differentiate 3.17 from 3.18. In fact, some custom ROMs (like CleanROM) actually reverted from 3.18 back to 3.17, since the AT&T specific meddling caused significant issues and removed some functionality.
Thanks this is most helpful

Is there a specific thread for htc xl international version? I bought mine here in saudi arabia and i am planning to install custom rom.pls. Can someone lead me to a link. Thanks.
What does it say in your bootloader? If it shows your device as Evita_UTL, we don't have a forum for that specific device. Plus there is very little known about it.

This has nothing to do with the OP. Should have started your own thread.
