Telstra RUU 1.89 install on One XL Asia variant - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey Guys, I've done a bit of reading and I'm stumped.
I currently have an HTC One XL Asian version 16gig, and looking at putting the RUU 1.89 from Telstra on it.
1) I've got root.
2)Change CID to SuperCID 11111111
(OneClick_CID_Spoof.bat is giving this error, "Token [HTC__622] must be [CWS__001]"
Can I just edit the batch file to allow the patch to complete?
Is there anything I'm missing or tips or even if it can be done?
Thanks,

Yes, replace either the AT&T or Rogers cid with yours and re-run it.

Thanks,
Also, will have I have problems as my XL is 16gig and Telstra's XL is 32gig.

I can't see why you would.
Why don't you just flash one of the Telstra Roms? There's a few around with the 1.89 base.

Rogers One X Updates???

Guys,
Have there been any updates for the Rogers One X other than the original release? I couldn't find anything after searching.
Thanks,
Y2J
Nope, just custom roms

I am assuming there is no way to get back to original Rogers stock out of the box since we don't have s-off yet, correct?

Just run the Rogers RUU
if my phone is only rooted, can i just double click the rogers RUU and follow the instructions to return to stock? will it still say that it's been 'tampered'?

Man I dunno what the effing secret is but I've tried all the rogers ruu threads and that **** don't work. Att and other ruus work fine (supercid) but that effing pos rogers ruu is rediculous... Always spits out some random error... Usually "incompatible bootloader error 140"

How to un-root HTC One S

I Want to un-root my unlocked HTC One S. The original carrier was Telus (Canada) But i have been using it on Bell. I have read a couple forums on here and none seem to help me. My phone was rooted with a stock rom. But i have deleted all Super user data and relocked my boot loader And re installed the stock recovery but i still cannot get software updates (The reason I want to un-root) Can someone tell me what i am missing?
Did you try the full unroot option within SuperSu's settings?
Edit: nevermind. You said super user not supersu

I have downloaded the Rogers ruu. But haven't ran it yet. Will it lock my phone to rogers if i run it? Or do i need to find a ruu the is for my appropriate carrier?
Get then Run the Telus RUU.
There's few threads about that on XDA with easy steps.

Unless you got a SuperCID your phone is branded as a Telus phone and require the Telus RUU. RUUs are linked with the CID of the phone, not the SIM inserted, you can't run a Bell RUU.

If this is for Unlocking the Bootloader then you don't need to do this at all as we can Unlock without it. If it's for another reason then yes as far as I know you can use this tool which has a Telstra edit here.
Gday mate thanks for the reply will unlocking the BL allow me to flash other RUU files also? Or will the cid still block that
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
Don't know why you would want to flash another ruu as after you unlock the bootloader you can flash any rom for the foreseeable future...
After you unlock the bootloader then flash Twrp, then you will be able to flash ROMs.
I think I need to write a guide on this I've answered this a few times recently for telstra users.
Any more questions let me know

Actually, you can't flash a RUU if your device is unlocked.
It will allow you to flash roms.

Gday mate from the research I have done you can't root my software version 1.89 correct? And I can't down grade either because that's requires root? So I'm pretty much stuck at the moment? I appreciate all your support with this

You can't root but you can unlock your bootloader then flash a recovery then flash a rom that's rooted already.
Sent from my HTC One XL
You just have to unlock to root. AT&T devices have to root first to change the CID.

What is the right price for an S-OFF phone?

I searched everywhere and was just curious what the current value range would be?
Sent from my HTC One XL
Um... Why are you looking for s-off there's only a couple that own this phone that have s-off
I have one and was curious if they have any premium over the S-ON version if I decided to switch.
Sent from my HTC One XL
I wouldn't pay much more for a s-off phone. At some point we may get s-off and it will lose value
The advantage of s-off for regular users is being able to flash kernels in recovery. You can downgrade your hboot and be able to do this

I agree.

Phone has no additional value. It's still the same phone

That's what I figured. I hope T-Mobile turns on more towers here in 2013.

Changed my mind I don't care what they are worth since I like it and I'm not selling it.
I'll take it off your hands for $20, assuming you throw in shipping.

I like the phone. I have it dialed in for my needs. If I had the new firmware and hboot it would be the exact same answer too

I think having the htc logo rather than the at&t logo is worth $20 all by itself!

Hi,
The phone that I bought off eBay a couple of months ago, shows S-Off in the bootloader (on Hboot 1.09). I never thought that it was a rare piece.
EDIT: It seems I misunderstood. It has to be S-Off before you unlock it, right?

No.
Not sure about your phone but I didn't have to sim unlock or unlock the boatloader on mine. Just rooted it and loaded twrp and started flashing roms the first night I got it.
Sent from my HTC One XL
I got it SIM unlocked from eBay (India) and then I followed the All-In_One Kit by hasoon2000 to root and install a custom ROM. So I did an HTC-Dev unlock.
Anyhow, I get S-Off in the bootloader now. So all I know is that I dont need to flash any .img for installing custom ROMs.

Noob Question- How to Unbrand Htc One S

Hello guys, as you can tell by my post count I'm a noob, so please go easy on me.
I'm interested in getting rid of the Tmobile RUU on my phone and putting in the Euro version. I'm sick of the pace of T-Mobile USA updating their phone. So I was hoping I could get help with this procedure.
Warning, I have never unlocked a phone before. Anyone want to take this quest?
there are topics galore about this.
unlock your device (search 4 tread)
change your cid ((via supercid method) search 4 tread)
relock (search 4 tread)
run a ruu.exe compatible with the cid ((you can do a older ruu, then update via ota) search 4 tread)
why search 4 tread??? if you dont understand what your doing, dont even start.
Thank you. I read through most of them but I got confused with the super cid. If I used that that means any ruu file will work? Also does that mean I won't be able to update ota?

you dont have to change to supercid, you also can change to a HTC-cid that will allow you to run a ruu.
there is a list here on xda with all htc cids from countrys (branded and unbranded)

Just use HTC__001 (for almost every www rom) or a unbranded EU Cid (for example the UK version).
