[Q] Infuse 4G Bricked after Trying to flash pit - Samsung Infuse 4G

Im new here so please forgive me but let me explain my predicament. First i was running Darknight Custom rom for quite a while but i decided to try to install a cna rom but my phone wouldnt boot (i found out that i had the wrong version) so i tried to flash back to my darknight rom but i got an error saying Things like
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Unknow volume for path [cache/recovery/log]
E:Can't mount:/cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open:/cache/recovery/log
so i looked arond and decided to try to flash back to stock using odin which worked, but my phone still wouldnt boot up so i decided to try a pit file i found on these fourms : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557464 (the reply that has in an attached file) But after putting that in odin now i can't do anything, cant get to download, cant get to even show the booting logo, or anything
I would really appreciate help? PLEASE and THANK YOU

Also when flashing the pit file i didnt flash any of the other files like pda and phone

Go get the GTG's ultimate unbrick. Flash that, then get the d option package from here. Flash that, then work your way up to ics. Try Remics beta 4 build 6.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613523
That should fix it.

I have use file s1_odin_4G_Sedy.pit to flash rom, but get same problem, Odin still stuck at "cache.rfs". Fail ! I have tried flash rom via Heimdall and same result.
Maybe my phone hardware has problem ?

Try the kc1 or kd1 without the .pit file

Well flahshing roms via CWM is likely not going to fix your problem, sounds like you may have changed your partition tables and will need to find a pit. I thought I read someone in the 4g forum made a working one.

Good Luck.
which kd1 rom are u trying to install. theres a kd1 rom the it was compress wrong by the programer.
Are you using Odin or heimdall what options are you selecting?
Are you able to get into download mode? (Do you see the guy with the shovel)
Make sure you have the proper usb drivers installed as well and that you are using
the factory usb cable, I have had issues with other cables.
I had the same problem, I just kept trying til it worked

HELP! Odin failed during upgrade to ZHKPD

Hi,
I have a i9003 that ran on stock 2.2.1 ROM and I've been having serious SOD problems.
Updated to 2.3.5 ZHKPD last night using KIES. The update was successful but gave me screen blackouts during calls (screen and buttons turned all black whenever I start a call. I heard voice but was never able to turn on the screen again) in addition to SOD problems.
I have then downloaded Odin 1.83, and "I9003ZHKPD_I9003ZZHKP9_I9003XXKPM_HOME.tar" from here and tried to flash my phone again after reading a lot of guides on this forum.
I got a "Can't open the specified file" error from Odin (see attachment). Now when I turn on my phone all I see is a picture with a phone and a computer.
Was the re-partition cause of the problem?
Can someone here please let me know what I can do? To get 2.3.5 back into my phone?
Thanks in advance.
Did u flash XXKPE beefore flashing ???
If you have then try downloading the firmware from another source
I haven't - the "I9003ZHKPD_I9003ZZHKP9_I9003XXKPM_HOME.tar" file is the only one I tried to flash.
It's phone from Hong Kong and I do want to keep something from the stock firmware, such as the Chinese input.
What do you suggest I should do next?
flash it again from xxkpe with the step "re-partition"
Thanks. Did you mean I should first flash it with the "I9003XXKPE" file here?
Will I need the PIT file, and after XXKPE I'll have to flash ZHKPD right?
Well, the only question is: Can you come into download mode?
If you can, just flash KPE>KPD and everything solved.
If you can't get a jig or go to service center.
Thanks. Did you mean I should first flash it with the "I9003XXKPE" file here?

the problem is the ext4, when you flash stock room do not have ext support, simply flash vurrutv8 over xxkpq and problem gone
or re format it with pit to rfs, easy!

Roua Got your PM. Sorry I didn't reply there, but you can get it from sammobile.com, You can download the firmware's there properly as most of them have taken off the firmware links from hotlink due to being deleted by SOPA issues. Anyways you can get it re-downloaded there. You only need to extract it once from it's current ZIP file and not twice Follow my guide and everything should go great from there.
Hopefully if you get stuck you can follow up with me

I am also facing similar problem.I think we have to fix the internal sdcard "E:" access problem then we have to proceed to normal Rom flashing.
please anybody help us.
Thanks
ok
i will explain better,
when you flash a custom room like cm, poseidon or so, partition, our disk are formatted to ext 4 type, re flash to xxkpq don't back to rfs, xxkpq kernel, doesn't have ext 4 support, and of course, starts fail and stuck to logo for this reason, try to flash uc kernel or another kernel with ext 4 to get your device working, if doesn't work, try to re flash xxkpe with pit and re format (if you don't know how follow guide, now I can't point you because I'm from my phone)

are you using P6200 or P6200L or maybe some other series? and what ICS are you flashing? Austria Open (XXLQ1)?
what odin version you used? odin3 v.1.85?
is it any possibility the HC or ICS stock ROM is broken?
what CWM version do you use?
can you post the log on odin after flashing back to HC?

You trying to flash trough ODIN?
And what Model phone, I9505, I9500 or any other variant...
If you're trying to flash with ODIN, make sure that Kies is completely shut down or, better yet, uninstalled.. This can cause problems.
When you select the rom to install are you trying to flash zip files or .tar files. ODIN on the PC flashes .tar/tar.md5 files only... If you have a stock rom in zip format, extract to the .tar file.
Same with root and recovery. You need to have .tar files... Don't extract any further than that...
Try a different cable or usb port if problems persist. If you still get no love try a different PC\laptop.
All the above instructions are for windows PC...
If you have an I9505 I like to root the phone then flash all other things using Mobile ODIN(I purchased it) there is a free version floating around the forum but it is worth the few $ to get the pro version...
