Looking for an app.. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I frequently use the hdmi adapter cable to plug my s3 in to an external screen for videos and msg throughout the day.
my question is: is there an app that turns the screen into a laptop style touch/gesture pad? i use a bluetooth keyboard with it all the time, and if i could just use the screen as a touchpad, it'd save me from needing to purchase a bluetooth mouse.
i have searched google and this site, but i believe i may be using the incorrect search terms. i cannot be the first person to think of this! thanks in advance!

For videos and messaging, I just skip the screen mirroring and use Airdroid. It puts all the info in a desktop view and eliminates the need to even have the phone nearby.

Daemon, I appreciate your input, but that's not what I want. I do not have or want the screen that I connect the s3 to connected to another computer. I simply wish to use the touchscreen on the s3 as if it were a laptop style touchpad for itself, so I do not need a bluetooth mouse.
On a similar note, I am looking for an app, that would allow me to change the resolution of the operating system, or at least certain apps (like browser, etc) so that when I have the s3 plugged into the screen, it looks more like a computer's view- not like just mirroring the phone view onto a bigger screen.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Secondary Display FOR android

I've seen a lot of discussion on using an android device as an extended monitor for a PC, but I'd acutally like the go the other way, using a monitor as an extended display for my GS2 LTE. I've got the MHL adaptor that lets me mirror what's on my phone onto any screen with an HDMI input, but what i'd like to do is be able to use the monitor as the primary display, and then use my phone as a touchpad and pair my phone with a bluetooth keyboard. This way, I would effectively be able to use my phone as a portable workstation, with the phone screen as a touch pad and an external monitor as the display.
anyone know if this can be done?

Is external touch screen control possible?

Hello all, I've been wondering lately if it's possible for an Android phone to be plugged into an external touch screen and be completely controlled via the external touchscreen?
By possible, I actually mean easily done via some basic or maybe not so basic code.
I know some Android devices offer mirroring via mini hdmi, but you usually have to either control using a remote or the phone. I'd rather have it connect through the micro-usb port, lay the phone somewhere else, and fully control the phone through the external touch screen.
I tried to search, but wasn't sure what to use for the search and all I found was ways to remotely control you pc using your device.
no i dont think so....a web application is there for controlling your phone via wifi with the help of router..
Airdroid try it..

Thanks for the reply. I'll give Airdroid a try, but I was looking for a more direct option. I'm thinking there has to be a way since the webtops/laptop docks seem to work well, but again those use mouses/keyboards for control.
I am hot on this idea too
I have a lilliput 4 wire resistive screen that i want to use a carputer.
I have seen one solution that is stuck in "coming soon" that requires some manual intervention called customgadz...google it. It's expensive.
I have googled endlessly to try and find a way to input the Liliput directly into the Atrix HD dock as a USB input but the touch screen needs to be calibrated.
So i've resorted to emailing liliput to see what they say.

Problem between a Wireless keyboard and Tronsmart MK908II touch response

Hello,
The device is Tronsmart MK908II, wireless keyboard is this: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6271301163.html
The problem is that there is a lag between the keyboard commands and the response of the device. For example as you wiggle your finger on the touchpad on the keyboard, cursor on the TV screen does not reflect correctly and on time, and the same with keystrokes. Especially if the distance between me and the TV stick is more than one meter is almost impossible to perceive commands.
At first I thought it was the keyboard, but after I connected it to the computer, I saw that it works absolutely perfectly, even from a distance of 5-6 meters, there is no delay when you press buttons. Unfortunately, not so with the tv stic... Pls tell me what to do ??? The device has the last Android 4.2.2 version, there is no newest at the moment. Does it need to install a program to respond better wireless keyboards? The keyboard come without software, just plug and play.
Help pls!
Keyboards are a drama! I use droidmote to control my sticks via tablet or phone. The stick needs to be rooted and you install a serverapp on it which you connect to via Wi-Fi from your client app on your other devices. Once working I ditch my keyboard.

I fixed the problem! I use a different port on the device, which is micro USB. Use transitions and include in it the keypad transmitter. Apparently the standard USB does not have enough power to supply it correctly.
Nice catch! Thanks for the update

Mirror screening the Optimum App

HELP!!
Hello, my names Pat and I'm brand new to this forum. Ive searched previous posts and found a few related to my question but none with a working solution so I figured I would make my own post mainly because the others I found were pretty old.
I'm looking for a solution of how to mirror screen the optimum app from either my phone or tablet to my TV(prefer using my tablet) (I do NOT have a smart tv, just a regular basic flat screen tv). I'm looking to do this either wirelessly using miracast(??spelling??), another app, or by purchasing an HDMI cord with an android or type c adapter to hookup my phone or tablet (8inch Samsung galaxy tab E). I've tried multiple times to mirror screen the app but they've blocked it and put a restriction on it and don't allow HDMI out. I guess other apps like this one have also blocked HDMI out but I'm mainly concerned about finding a resolution for the optimum app so I can watch cable tv on my TV without purchasing a new cable box. Thanks!!

Any way for a wired external display ?

Hi all,
Since many weeks I search for an external display (like Asus MB168B for example) who are compatible with Google Pixel for mirroring or replacing display or whatever. I use very often my Pixel like a PC with mouse and keyboard, and I'm very disapointed because I'm not able to have a better screen.
The Asus screen I've shared before is an example of what I search for, but it only have an usb-c entry and It seems to me that the Pixel haven't support for Display with his usb-c.
I've already try with Chromecast on tv, but there is a long unappreciable delay with this way.
I haven't tried Miracast because my knowledge about this method is close to nothing, but I search for. Maybe someone can tell me if it's a solution or not.
I'm thinking about found a 10-15" hdmi monitor, with integrated battery or with an usb supply - I can add an external battery to the equation -, then found a way to mirror my phone (miracast, chromecast Ultra maybe ?) on it. I want it for working so need to be usable in moving or travel.
I hope I'm understandable, sorry for my little english level :/
Thanks for any response
