I swear, today's BS at the Sprint store has me engulfed in fumes! Last week, i ask to have a white Note 2 ordered as I wanted to pay the full retail value. Had a good chat with the sales rep(long time friend), and took care of me accordingly. Due to the late order, this was last week Thursday, said the phone would be in today and to come by then. No problem, waited patiently.
Walk into the store today and ask for my phone. Was told only one shipment came in and there's no white N2's to be seen with my name on it. The girl rep told me, I'd be notified once the phone arrived. Said, np and waited patiently again. Hrs go by till about an hour ago. Call, girl rep says phone is here. I'm like wtf, why wasn't I notified!! Then im told to bring all the payment upfront or no phone, on top of the ***** telling me she was confused about everything and couldn't help me!! FACEPALM...
Called up Sprint and *****ed about it all. Ordered the phone, through the billing 1-800 number and had it over night shipped. The helpful lady waved the $35 activation fee, along with the $12 shipping fee. Even though it was nice, i feel like a better discount could have been given. When you spend $700 ++ on the phone followed by 12yrs of customer loyalty, you'd think that sprint would throw in a phone case w/10%-15% off my phone purchase...!

the last time i tried replacing my nexus s 4g (after having dropped it and cracking the screen), asurion offered me a different phone because they had none at hand that very moment. i would be okay with this IF it was an upgrade from my phone, but they tried giving me some LG phone that was anything but an upgrade spec & feature-wise. turns out the lady was offering that phone to me only because their highest priority was to have a phone to me by the next business day. i told her waiting an extra business day to get the same phone was no problem... got a replacement 2 days later ::rollseyes::

On the 9th of this month i took out a contract on t-mobile, i took the contract out at a tmobile store and at the time said if i had any problems with the phone if i wanted to cancel the contract if i could bring the device in within 14 days and cancel the informed me i could.
About 9 days later and due to poor battery life of the phone and basic coverage problem i rang up the tmobile store and said can i bring the phone in to cancel they informed me that i couldn't do it in store and would have to ring tmobile which i did and to make sure the store was telling the truth.
Later I then rang tmobile and they informed that they could cancel the phone because i didnt like it and that they would send out a silver bag and it would be with me within 2 working days.
2 working days later i rang up and said i hadn't received the silver bag and was wondering where it was as i wanted to return the phone i was then informed that actually it can take upto 5 days and i would have to wait.
Anyway the very next day the silver bag appeared and i posted the phone back to tmobile like a good customer and went away on my holiday over the 22-24 of this month.
I returned home today to find another silver bag on my door step, i then rang tmobile, i told them i had received another silver bag and just making sure that i returned it in the correct one.
The women then informed me that the 14 days cancelation period didnt count at tmobile stores and that i couldn't cancel the contract at all and she would try to find my phone and post it back to me whilst she was doing this she informed me the other people i talked to where muppets.
At that point i informed her i had been told by 4/5 tmobile members of staff both in the store and at the call center that i could in fact cancel and that i wanted to speak to a manager to make sure what your telling me is correct.
I then got in contact with a manager about 6 hours ago he informed me that 14 day cancellation doesn't count if you buy a phone in a tmobile store and that basically i was stuffed and would have to wait for them to post my mobile back and then talk to the store and hope they would cancel it.
I then informed him that basically i didn't want to do that i wanted my contract canceling and i will not take out another tmobile contract and when my current one runs out i want to cancel that.
After a argument where i was saying i have no phone and you want me to wait till you find it and post it back then i can talk to the store, i said plus the reception in my work place is crap as well at which point he said o now thats a different matter.
He then informed me he would contact the store and ill get a ring when he comes on shift at 6pm. He then asked if they did a check of my postcode in store i told them they hadn't and i would have to wait and hear tomorrow.
I am just wondering what do i do, what are my rights and can i cancel within 14 days.
Sorry about the gramma and spelling but after driving for 6 hours and being on the phone with tmobile for the last hour im really tired.
Long and the short of it, is that yes, you do have a cancellation period for this contract. It may be that the Store need to handle the cancellation, rather than the call centre, but ultimately if you're unhappy, then the store should have resolved this for you.
I'd suggest walking into the store, and asking to speak to the manager... explain whats happened, and demand he resolve this for you.
If you dont get a result from the store, then there are always ombudsmen who can step in and help once they've failed to uphold their end.
I'm having the worst luck. My wife and I ordered 2 brand new mytouch4g's last saturday through tmo customer loyalty for a total of 400 bucks (200each) for both phones. They didnt send the EIP acceptance until tuesday after i called them. I accepted they charged my card and I got a text message saying my order went to fulfillment Nov 12th. Well yesterday I called and they told me that the phone is backordered. wtf...! i already sold my current phones and now they don't even have an ETA of when the phones would be available. This is pretty lame.
Whoew!!!..really feel bad for you. But its a good thing, now that alot of people have mytouch 4g that means that this phone will be light up. All the dev team will be supporting this phone like crazy.

Man, never sell your phone until you have the new ones in hand, and then don't sell them until you had the new ones a few days and checked out any bugs. It's called "common sense" and it's not taught in schools anymore! I ordered mine on Sunday when the new plans came out, they shipped Monday and are arriving today. I'd like to get my Evos on ebay, but waiting for 1-30 days until they are checked out. I have 30 days to return/exchange them and cancel the contract so I'm not porting my numbers over until everything checks out, and that includes the billing. It's so easy for them to promise a given price on the phone and then have your first bill be totally different than what's quoted. Then, and everyone hates to do this, you have to call your carrier and have a big fight. I'll keep the number they issued me and have my sprint number "forwarded" to this phone while I check it out. This plan will save a lot of potential headache.
This doth not bode well. I just ordered another MT4G too. Ugh. I hope they get their supply issues resolved.
man, that really sucks...hope you have at least something to use for the time being. If not, you can probably pick one up off craigslist for dirt cheap to at least have a phone until they come in.
I never sell my old phones...my wife hates it, but I have a good 7 foot stack of phone boxes in our bedroom closet, and I constantly buy phones I dont even use from craigslist myself
My daughters will go through them once in awhile and want to use one now and then...but sadly, they always want to go back to their iPhones.
I bought my first one through TMO on launch day. But, I just ordered one for my wife on Monday through WireFly and it just came today. WAY better price than buying through TMO. Call them and you can get a better deal than what's posted on their site.
The only thing about them is they bombard you with "additional" great offers while you are on the phone with them. Don't buy their insurance plan, it's crap. I bought it and found out it didn't cover water damage at all, so no dropping the phone in the crapper by accident. And it won't cover theft from an unoccupied building... so if I leave my phone at home, go somewhere, and get burglarized; it won't be covered. Worthless. I called and canceled the crappy insurance. It's not eligible for a TMO $6/mo protection plan when you buy it through WireFly, but if you bring it into the store and show them it's not damaged, they will give you a $4.75/mo plan that is the same as their $6/mo plan, but the difference is that it doesn't include equipment malfunction/failure. Only covers damage or theft.
yeah i havent found it in stock anywhere in my area...i really want one !
wow that does suck they had a lot of them right by my house in cali. i just returned my white one for a black one at the store and they did it no problem. but if u dont have a phone, just go to a tmobile store and tell them what happened and try to get a loaner phone. thats what i had to do for a day cause i sold my hd2 so i can upgrade to the mytouch 4g but it wasnt gonna come out for another day when i sold my phone.
I bought 2 MT4Gs on NewEgg.com
I found the MT4G in stock on NewEgg...i ordered 2 (1 black and 1 White) i was about to buy them on amazon for $119 and saw they wouldnt be delivered until Dec. 28th...so went over to trusty NewEgg.com and they had the same price ...Ordered on Monday the 15th and will be delivered tomorrow...hurry the might still have them ..btw i checked back on NewEgg the following day and the price was up to 149$
FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER @Face_Melter we can be MT4G friends...lol
The stores are usually stocked... I would try there. Also they will let u swap within the 14 days at a tmobile store too even if you got the original phone from the 800 number.
I bought my mytouch 4g from newegg when it came our for $79. Last i saw target mobil was selling it for 79 too so check it out. I just dont understand why people are buying this phone for 200.
I got mine from Radio shack for $149(2 year upgrade). Plus Radioshack gave me $130 for my HD2 with wall charger and $60 for my G1 and wall charger. So I paid nothing for my MT4G. And I bought a car charger for it.

You really don't understand the concept behind tiered pricing? Seriously?
I just ordered one for $267 and paid for 3 day shipping from retentions. Got tired of the Vibrant GPS not working. If I paid for 3 day shipping I better damn well get it. We'll see I guess.
I got my 4G Black, at costco, say would I be able to walk into t-mob and exchange for a red one? curious, as I still have a week before the 14 days are up.
it's those damn commercials that is making this phone sell like crazy

Considering selling?
My wife had problems with her MyTouch 4G speakerphone and had me get her a "simple" phone. I'm supposed to receive a brand new one from T-Mobile within the next week and I am thinking about selling it. What should I expect it should sell for? Thanks.

Since T-mobile is selling it for $450 new with buyers remorse, warranty, and option to add insurance, I would probably shoot for 400 if it's still unused.
I got mine on the day it was released, 10am my local tmobile store opened up and I was the 1st customer there. Paid like 320 for the MT4g cuz I wasn't in my full upgrade Price. but then I sold my HD2 for 350 so I thought hey Might as well buy the new phone... When I got home and the wife saw that I had the new MT4G she wanted one too. So I went back 2 days later and got the white one for her paid 200 for hers..
I think that all these 3rd party websites are ordering all these phones from tmo so that's why the main tmobile is backed ordered. But if you go to the stores they have them stocked up...
Are they a good place to buy from? I'm planning on getting a g2x in the next couple of days, and their price is very tempting. Just don't know anything about the site...
I ordered my Motorola Atrix from them, and it was so much cheaper than going from the actual AT&T site. I would recommend using wirefly.

I bought my Samsung Epic 4g from them in November. Overall the experience was OK. The price for the phone was $70.00 less than it was being sold by Sprint. The phone was shipped within the time frame that they stated and it was brand new like it was supposed to be. I had trouble getting the phone to start off because they claimed that I was not eligible for the upgrade price on the phone, even though I was. I had to call them and they said that Sprint told them that I wasn't eligible for the upgrade. I called Sprint and the Sprint rep told me that their system keeps a record of whenever an outside vendor makes an inquiry on a record, and that there was no record of anyone checking to see if my account was eligible for an upgrade, and that I was eligible for an upgrade. I called Wirefly back and I was placed on hold and again they said that I was not eligible and that they had checked twice. I told them what Sprint said and had to pressure the Wirefly rep to effort to find the problem, since it was their problem. It took about 30 minutes to get the rep to get the right information and allow me to purchase the phone.
Normally, I would have just bought my phone elsewhere after dealing with the issue I did with Wirefly, but I pressed it because of the $70.00 savings. I figure it took about an hour of my life on the phone to get it squared away, so it was like making $70.00 an hour. If the price difference was much smaller, I would have given up on Wirefly and bought my phone from someone else. So, like I said to start off, they were OK. If you are saving money, it will be worth it...if it is the same price as you can get it elsewhere, I would suggest you get it elsewhere. Good Luck!

They are scum of the earth!
Basically I went through 2 G2X's with them. It wouldn't have been so bad where it not the fact that it took about a week to ship the phone to them and get it back and by the second one, I was worried that I may not want to keep the T-Mobile service so I just gave up and decided to buy locally. The problem was that Cellhub wanted a restocking fee for the SECOND defective phone of $25, then they charged me $10 for the pleasure of having to send the brick of a phone back, AND I had to pay for shipping($15). So dealing with that much hassle with Cellhub on a phone that is known to be defective (Come on, we all know this, the issues this phone has given me led me here) is just not worth the "savings" you'd get. I wasted $50 on literally nothing thanks to cellhub. A week later I went to a local T-Mobile store and it looked like Cellhub somehow screwed me over with Tmobile and I wasn't allowed to get the phone for the upgrade price. So if I wanted it at the store it would have cost me full price! Basically Cellhub was trying to blacklist me with T-Mobile. T-Mobile was great and we cleared it up (seriously, best Customer service for cell phones, I really hope At&t is denied to purchase them), but it soured me from ever buying from cellhub or even hinting at someone to buy it from there. If I could prevent one person from going through the hell I went through, I will be more then happy to write my story down.
I just placed my order.Let's c what kind of dirt they give me.If phone don't get shipped out today I'm cancelling my order.

My experience has been fine. They have done everything they've said for me.
They sent me my first return w/no problems. The 2nd return, they deferred to T mobile. But he was nice about it, explaining that that is the process. He made sure I had no questions. Also made it a point to tell me to get back to them if I had any problems with the 2nd return. The credit for the free activation won't show for three months or so.
I did have to pay for next day both ways, but that was my idea and my decision. They were gonna send it 2 day. I had a loaner from T mobile that was crap and did not want to wait a week.
I'm not sorry I went through them myself. I would do it again. They are selling this phone for a good price. I always get a real person quickly, which I love. It isn't their fault I've had problems. My daughters G2X is problem free.
It must suck to be an authorized G2X DEALER right now. There sure are a lot of returns.......never mind the standard BS that is sorta inevitable. But I can personally recommend cellhub. Of course I try to be uber friendly and respectful. You definately get what you give.

So far so good. We'll when the phone arrives.
If you get a working phone CellHub would appear to be great. But a TRUE measure of a company is how they handle returns. I had a defective Core i7 980x (a $1,000 processor mind you) and Newegg did a cross ship without charging me on the new one sent in, all I had to do was send in the defective CPU. The whole process took 2 days and I recieved a return shipping label for the defective product. THATS how you handle returns. Cellhub is a joke by comparison. A true measure of an online store is how they handle returns, not sales. Cellhub is not there for you after the sale, so I would avoid them.
Cellhub vs Newegg is not a good comparison, because Newegg offered ****ty customer service when it first started too, only until a few years ago they got a lot better in order to compete with amazon's customer service.
I bought my G2x from cellhub they are okay. I was very lucky to be one of the few to receive a non-defective unit. So hopefully you will get a non-defective device. But since G2x has so many quality control problems I would not have bought it from cellhub because if anything is wrong with it you would have a headache with the return (any online retailer that is). I would have suggested you to get it a local tmobile store because you can drive to the store and ***** at them versus an online retailer you cant really do that much.
I ordered 2 cell phones from Cellhub about 6 years ago. First issue was that I was switching carriers and porting my number. I was assured that my old phone would work until I got the phone and had it switched myself. Not so, the numbers were switched immediately before the phones shipped and my wife and I had no phone service until our phones came in over a week later. One phone was fine for 2 years until we quit using it. The other was an obvious refurb that they honored with the 1 year warranty, but I had to send it in for repair through whatever service they used. I had to send it in twice times for different issues. First was it stopped installing anything I had bought and downloaded, which I dealt with until the bluetooth stopped working. After that the screen died. Then 3 days after my warranty expired the keys quit working and I was out of luck. They wouldn't do anything about it even though it was obvious there were issues with the phone before and I had sent it in twice before for a couple weeks each time. Not that I expected that they would do anything even though it was three days, but it did guarantee I will never go back.
Hope your experience is better and that they have improved since then.
They haven't...

Well, I knew what the return terms were when I bought them. I made sure to check the return policy. So the return shipping, while I see your point, wasn't really an issue for me.
I'm more concerned with how much of a fight it is to make the return. They exchanged the first one quickly and with no hassles.
I knew that going mail order was a bit risky. But as I said, I've been pleased with cellhub. From my experiences with them, they've been very helpful and professional.

So you wanted to exchange a defective phone and Cellhub wanted to charge you $25. restocking, fee, $15.00 shipping, AND $10.00 (for what?) for a total of $50.00 for an exchange.....for a defective phone....that was still under warranty?? Boy, I'd be pissed off.
Hence my hatered of cellhub, I spent $50 on nothing. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in long island against them. Cellhub is pure scum.Avoid!!!!

I want to put as much emphasize on this story as possible because I really want some useful advice. 2 days ago my phone was stolen. Since then I have been trying to get a phone because I run a business and by now 3 days I have lost half a grand easily.
Last month I switched my phone from a 2 year contract to a prepaid month to month plan. At this point tmobile does not offer insurance on the phone any longer. This is important because after paying $140 per month for this phone with insurance, the month I switch to the $50 per month plan it is stolen and tmobile says, "o well".
I said can I buy a new phone? They said no because you still owe us money for switching the phone to prepaid and $150 on the actual phone itself. I did not pay the money to switch because the previous month I had the money the lady on the phone said she would take care of it which I thought meant since I never actually left the company they werent charging me to change plans...not the case after all, but do not find out until my phone is stolen.
I had an HTC Amaze for the record. So I went home and called tmobile. I was on the phone about 25 min before the connection became so bad I asked for them to call me back. They got the phone number and then never called. I had been transferred 7 times by this point. I called back and explained I was very frustrated. They transferred me to a specialist. This lady had me on hold about 20 min. Finally she said we resolved the $200 fee but you still have to pay the $150 on the phone. I paid the $150 and she asked me if I want to buy the new phone now? I said no because I wanted the phone immediately so I would go into the store to buy it.
I got to the store and they said I still owed $200. Even if the $200 fee was resolved he told me I cannot get the discount on the phone I wanted and that I have to pay the full price of $600 because they do not give a discount on their phones more than 1x per 2 year contract! Even on a new line. So I was going to buy a cheap phone and he said he could keep my old number and use this cheap phone until I could buy the phone I wanted later. I told him the Staples accross the street sold phones if I could ask them if they sold me a phone for cheaper they could activate it. He said it would probably only take me 30 sec to go check and to see.
I got back to the tmobile store in about 2 min and he had gone on his lunch break. I waited about another 20 min before another associate helped me who did not have the same deal with a cheap phone he told me about. In stead of $160 total for everything he wanted to charge me $200 for everything. I was there for 2 hours and by this point I am extremely upset and I want to leave tmobile.
This is not my first bad experience with tmobile. I have been unhappy since I joined. There is no complaint department. You have to write out a letter and mail it in. I left out some details of why I am so upset because the bottom line of the story is I am just completely unhappy with tmobile. They treat you like you are nothing without them, and will be fine without your business. This may be true but I have been paying almost $150 per month for almost 9 months and now they want me to pay $200 when I am not even leaving their company, then my $600 phone which is fully paid off is stolen they not only do not help me, but they are rude and go on lunch after he told me to go ahead and check which would only take a matter of seconds. I ran to the store and back and he was on a 30 minute lunch, I am just unhappy with the whole company. I will not even go into details of when I was having trouble with the phone during the previous 9 months.
What I want to know is how do I leave a phone company without paying their fee. Its not right, I am leaving because their service is so unsatisfactory in my area, and now I need help they not only do not help but want to charge me full price to get my line back. If I switch to another company can I still keep my same number? I need the same number for my business and I would much rather not stay with this company. Could anyone recommend any links with information, or which service providers you prefer? Thanks.
