Weird screen bug after unlocking? - HTC One S

So I've noticed this strange bug ever since I've had the phone. Sometimes after turning the screen on, my screen won't register touch input properly - ill try to do my pattern unlock and it'll just jitter around and not work. After turning the screen off and on again its fixed. Anyone else have the same problem? It's happened on stock and every other rom I've used.

Sounds like a hardware issue.
Please post questions in the q&a section

Never had the home screen bug happen even once on my device... Its a bit irritating but not that bad. It never happens after the screen has been on, only right when you turn it on

Ah oke. We better pray for the jelly bean update then! Haha

What u
I ment is does it vibrate in a pattern? Apps do 3 fast pulses when they are forced to close by the system when something goes wrong.

Questions rgd htc one s

Hey guys. So I'm having countless issues with this phone I was wondering how much of them are software, others have experienced and if it gets fixed with custom roms. The most frustrating issues are 1: that sometimes when typing in message app the screen distorts for less than a second and goes back to normal this could go on a while without happening then randomly happen, using SwiftKey 3 keyboard. Dunno about others.
Secondly sometimes apps like xda I will enter the app and go to messages or any top tab and the app freezes. Won't respond to anything I have to hit home, then recent apps, end the app then restart. Sometimes this happens several times in a row. Reboots don't help. Currently on stock.

Must be an issue with swiftkey keyboard since I have never experienced any issue using stock keyboard.
The second one is a known issue with xda app. Alternatively you can use tapatalk forums app.

Okay thanks for the swift response. I appreciate it, yeah hopefully so. I'm currently sitting on my amaze and this and debating which to sell. Also wanted to make sure before I unlock the bootloader that this isn't debilitating otherwise I want to get a warranty exchange before unlock otherwise they might try to screw me. Thank you!

Clearing XDA app cache should fix the problem with the app

Password Protect on Lock screen on ICS

Anyone know of a way to have a pattern setup to lock the screen but only become active after 15 minutes of no activity? (I want the lock screen to stay enabled at all times, but only the pattern unlock to come up after the phone not being unlocked and used for X number of minute) The only thing I could find completely disables the lock screen until the time limit has been reached.
I had this option one of my Motorola and liked that function.

Download this app. Only thing is that it costs. Well worth it though.
It's in settings to set it up this way.

Heck no don't buy anything. Hey I restored LICS just for you. Ain't I a pal?
Settings-Security-Automatically Lock->
You can set it anything from 1 second to 30 minutes (after sleep).

That doesn't exactly act like what I was talking about. While you're waiting for the screen to lock automatically, all you have to do is unlock the screen (with power button) and you're on your screen so there is nothing that requires you to slide to unlock while the pin requirement hasn't timed out yet.
It's like the way a blackberry locks the screen and only requires a password after 15 minutes of not being used.

I really recommend posting this on the home button bug thread. It seems like you may be affected, just a different button.
do you have screen guard installed?
i had similar problem before. somehow the screenguard been causing that problem.
it works fine now after i remove my screen guard.
Screen guard don't think so I aint installed it myself unless it comes with the ROM..I installed cm10 and ain't had a problem with that since. But I don't know why venom ROM is causing me problems

Screen guard as in screen protector...piece of plastic on top of the screen to protect against scratches. I'm having this back button issue as well. No screen protector here :/

As for me, my prob was the screen guard.
ive been using cm10 for a long time, my problem came a couple weeks after i put the screen guard on.
never had prob before and no more problem after i removed it.
if i were you, i would try to change what back button does, doing this just to sort out what exactly is happen. is it the back button hardware or is it a rom thing.
if youre using cm10, theres an option to change what the back button does, try change it to something like menu and see if it still happens.
Yeah I'll try it I really need a screen protector coz of my job I'm a spray painter so need to protect my phone but I'll see if can change bottom. I think there a ROM where it let's you use nexus on screen buttons too on screen but forgot which one
