Upgraded to Blackout 3.2 and have been noticing that my signal is low and there are many places where I get no service. I tried to flash a new radio and messed up my phone. The wife is using the same thing and having problems with service strength. Will this rom ever have a different radio in it or can one be put in it as an option for people having problems with signal. I guess my phone does not have the proper s-off to flash radios and when trying to get it there my phone died.
I like this rom but need different radio.
Any help appreciated.
I have Been using this rom with no radio issues at all and it is the first i have heard of such issue's the only problem i have seen so far is with lag which can be fixed buy overclocking saftly to 1.4ghz and 250hrz or choosing supersmoth from the blackout tweaks Desire HD ONLY

Hi
I have Coredroid ROM v6.5 installed on my inspire. The radio im using is:
12.48.60.23u_26.08.04.07_m3
The radio is real good when it come to GPS i mean my gps takes like 2-3 secs to lock any where and the accuracy is almost everytime 6 meters.
But the thing is like 30% of the time my network shifts to 3g and the reception bar drops to 1 (on a scale of 1-5) and sometimes even no bar at all. I have call drop issues too and sometime people calling me get the ring on there end but i dont get any calls.....
please recommend me any solution to that or any other radio with very good gps result as i use gps a lot. Thanks in advance.
Did you flash the appropriate RIL for the Radio?
Heres a list of the current Radios.

Here are the RIL's
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040986
I was using Radio_12.41.60.19_26.06.04.14_M_Test on coredroid and had no problems. I've actually used this radio on quite a few of the roms with no issues.
I also flashed the leedroid kernal and used in in conjunction with coredroid and it improved my battery life drastically.
The RIL list doesn't have my radio mentioned. What should I do ? Install new radio?
Didn't saw the thread completely so I flashed the compatible RIL. Will tell if it works or not.
What radio do you have?
I am running 3.6.0 but my signal strength and data speed seem pretty slow. My iPhone 4 on Edge seemed faster honestly. I am on TMOUS in San Diego. I am not on the 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 radio. When I flashed the ROM I clearly read Mike suggests 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 for the "3.5.X" ROM's, so I didn't bother changing the radio since I am on 3.6.0. Did I read this wrong, or should I have updated the radio to 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2??? Has anyone done this and did it make a huge difference? Please help. Thanks.
Im in San Diego as well and I just downloaded ARHD 3.6.3 and stayed with my stock radio. Did you figure out exactly which works better?
I still have never changed my radio and everything is perfect. No need to flash a different radio in my opinion. Hit me up if you need any advice.

I flashed Mike's recommended radio and have since experienced horrible battery drain. I would visually see 1% drop every 15 minutes. I have already drained once, charged full, and wiped stats.
I'm using 3.6.3 btw.
**How do I get back my stock radio? Or anyone has any experience with better radios? I'm on WIND mobile in Canada (1700/2100 Mhz, same as T-Mobile)
So I installed ARHD 3.6.4 and have my regular tmous radio and then I flashed the 169 RIL to go with it and my battery and signal are doing very well. I can't believe I took this long to jump onto a non stock rom. Battery and overall performance between the stock and ARHD is night and day.
First off if this is the wrong place i apologize. I have searched for the better part of the day on a couple issues and haven't found any solutions to my last problem. I have a htc inspire running CM7 stable. The other day i started to flash different kernels to try them out. I started off using Lordmod V8.1 BFS. I liked everything about it but i was experiencing my data connection and wifi would stop working through out the day and i have to reset my phone and it would work. Then it would happen a little later on. Next I installed TalonACE 7x30 v1.1.1 BFS and have had only a couple internet drops and wifi but mostly the same problems. Sometimes the bars would be gray other times it would still be green but with no connection. I also flashed a new radio. (a recommend one from xda) 12.54.60.25P_26.09.04.11_M2.
So my question is, is it the kernels, CM7, or the new radio I flashed. Also if anyone knows a link to my question please inform me or any methods to fix this issue. Thanks
This actually has been an ongoing battle to pinpoint in lordmods thread. The consensus is leaning towards it being a rom issue. Based on my testing I tend to agree. For now the only "fix" is to use cfs kernels
I am experiencing this as well.
HTC Inspire 4G
BBMod Rom v1.6.0b
TalonACE v1.1.2 BFS (BRAZILIANWAX)
No UV
I'm using Absolution which is cm7 based and had similar problems along with battery issues, so I changed to talonace miui 1.09, all mi issues are gone. Also I use stock radio

hi guys, on my Desire S (s-off with Rev), i've updated to pre-rooted rom 2.10.401.5 but i'm still with the old radio (20.28I.30.085), no bugs, no issues but I would like to update to the "correct" radio
here are the questions:
- have i to format&clean cache and partitions?
- would i have any advantages with the new radio?
- is it real that the 20.4801.xx radio has some battery drain's issue and so it's better to use 20.48.30 radio?
To answer some of your questions:
You don't have to format anything, although wiping your cache is recommended, because not doing it could lead to a bootloop after the radio is updated.
Strictly speaking, any advantages gained by changing a radio is probably only minimal. Some report better battery life, better reception, while most (me included) don't notice any difference. The opposite can happen, a friend of mine updated to a newer radio and it broke his wireless for good, so he had to revert.
I don't know about any battery issues, since I've not used that particular radio, but the general rule of thumb is, if you don't have any real problems with your current radio, there shouldn't be any reason to change it.
That's my 2 cents anyway, hope someone more knowledgeable in these matters can provide more info
I'm running he 20.4801 radio and actuLly find my battery life has improved over he 20.48 one.

excuse me but didn't you say that you've had battery drain with 20.4801 and so you tryed the older 20.48.30?
Please be gentle if I failed to research this more fully before posting
I recently went from Stock ICS to CMX (19 Oct). I notice that my battery life is so-so now. I figure I need to update my Firmware/Radio .I want to pair with my Rom correctly. I am currently running :
Phone: HTC Sensation 4G
HBOOT 1.27.1100
Carrier: T-Mobile US
ROM: Bruce2728 CM 10 Jellybean 4.1.2
Radio: 11.69A33504.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2
Firmware: ?
Recovery: 4EXT Recovery Touch
I am curious about "kernel-bruce2728-05092012.zip" and "cm-10-TMOUS-DATA-TEST-bruce2728-pyramid.zip"
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction
I think you have the TMOUS 3.32 firmware. The TMOUS data test is an old build that tried to resolve some data connectivity problems for TMOUS users

The battery life on CM10 is questionable right now due to elemetns Google added to the google services framework starting with Android 4.1.2 around October 10th-ish.
It cause nearly constant wakelocks by Google services that are trying to have various google apps talk to each other to sync everything up.
In other words it's using battery during sleep states, even though your battery graph will show that it's not. But when wake the phone up you'll see a quick battery drain down to what the actual level is within a few minutes.
From playing with it, I'd say these wakelocks eat about 10% - 20% of the total battery life, depending on your use. (The more you use the device, the less the wakelocks are hurting you since the hone is awake anyway)
Your radio and firmware are probably not a major factor in the battery drain. Though finding that 'perfect' radio / ril / firmware combo for you might give a small boost. Maybe 5%.
This problem isn't due to the CM Team or the ROM develper. It's a Google issue. I don't know if it's supposed to be doing this or if it's something that will be fixed on 4.1.3. But bear in mind 4.1.2 isn't exactly avaialble for wide spread release in the Android world, so it could just be a bump in teh development road.
Is it worth it to update my radio to 11.76A.3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M ? I see a lot of signatures with other people using it.
no..problem is we all live in different areas and what works for others might completely disconnect your data due to your area.what you can do is experiment with different radio and ril to find one compatible with your area. remember your old radio so you can return to it if need be. when i switched radio and ril i just experimented to see which was best. start with the basic ics radios and rils this is a good place to start. hope this is helpful. best wishes!

Thank you for the tip. I hasn't sure if ICS radios and ril were compatible with Jelly Bean
