GPS not working after root please help. - HTC ChaCha

I have just rooted my HTC ChaCha and it seems to be fine. Problem is that I have now lost GPS signal. GPS software and GPS status app just sit there and keep searching but never get a lock.
Bootloader was unlocked via HTCDEV after updating to OS 2,3.5. & Updating HBOOTLOADER.

Also been given a RADIO update image that is said to be correct for the phone with correct network band and GPS working. Just not sure how to install. As I read you are supposed to only be able to install radio update in s-off mode.
Have the following installed:
Clockwork Mod Recovery
SuperUser APP
Titanium Backup APP
GPS Status APP
Any ideas on how to fix and get GPS working again?
Have not installed any custom roms still on supplied stock Vodafone Australia. On network unlocked phone. My network operator is Telstra.
UPDATE:
Had to flash back to stock stock recovery.img
Updated tolatest 2.3.5 again to get GPS working again. Left it for an hour or so to get the inital GPS signal. After that it was able to start getting the GPS connect quickly again.

No idea why I had to reflash and update to stock factory supplied software to recover GPS . Any more ideas would be appreciated. At least its still showing unlocked and rooted which is good. Yet it seems a common problem with GPS not working where many people have to downgrade back to stock and reflash back to custom ROM to get GPS working.again.

I rooted and rommed my own phone some time back without any problems, thanks to many excellent posts on this site. My boss kept moaning that his sensation kept crashing/hanging/behaving badly - so I told him that I would root and rom his phone, Which I have done. Problem is though there's no BT or WIFI. I have tried several variations on PG58IMG.ZIP but none even offer to carry out the upgrade. The phones CID is VODAP001 and the text from the HBOOT is as follows....

I cannot seem to change the CID (I tired to superCID it). I'm fairly sure that it's the radio.img that needs to be updated - can anyone help me as to why this isn't happening. What PG58IMG.ZIP should I be using are there any additional locks that Vodafone have put on that I need to remove. The OS seems to work fine except no wifi or bluetooth. The ROM I installed is the AKOP milestone 6. Please help, my boss might sack me! :crying:
You would probably be better getting the phone to have S-OFF first.
You've not stated if the phone has gone through the HTCdev unlock mechanism. Although, I don't know what that achieves in comparison to full S-OFF.
EDIT:
In About Phone -> Software information what does it say r.e.:
Software Number
More -> Baseband version
dev unlocked and s-off. Sorry, I thought that was implied where I said "root and rom his phone, Which I have done"
Android version 4.0.4
baseband version 11.69A350400U_11.23.3504.07_M2
Kernel 3.0.16-gda3fdfc
[email protected]
Build Number IMM76I
mod ver aokp_pyramid_build-40
I've tried several PG%*IMG.zip files that appear to be the correct versions, but all they do is get as far as the Parsing... then returns me to the fastboot screen. Everything on the phone appears to work correctly except radio services (BT & Wifi) and the SD card won't mount on PC on USB mode, but I'm not bothered about that - if the Wifi works I can always network files onto the phone.

Hi,
According to your hboot,it says "S-ON" .
That is why no PG58IMG.zip will work
It seems that if you cannot see that, you should really not be playing with your boss's phone.
If you intend to carry on,look in my signature at the "Asskicker Thread "
That deals with s-on and flashing custom ROMS...

[Q] I need help, Cant update!

I rooted my HTC Sensation a few months ago and I could not get custom ROMS to go past there boot logo screens so I re-installed on carrier/factory ROM from a back up on the phones SD card. I originally wanted to do this to get JellyBean on my phone has HTC'S interface is a little ugly.
The problem is I want to install the latest system up date from my service provider but none of the RUU's I find for my Bell Mobility(Prymid_BM) phone are of the same version so it tells me I have the incorrect RUU, I want to install the system update but I cant because my phone is no longer stock. What els can I do to get my phone back to completely stock so carrier updates work forever and always.
My firmware version is 3.33 and all the BM RUU's i find are of and older version there for wont work
I have looked here for RUUs but there always to old:

http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Pyramid

I want my HTC Sensation on bell mobility to be completely stock so if you can help me please do so and give detailed answers so I'm not googling for hours like I already have been. What are my options, because as it stands right now services on my phone keep crashing and I have to keep telling it no don't report it to HTC, happens ALOT.

[Q] Unsimlock help please

Hey everyone, My Motorola DEFY has just broken (the charging connectors in the micro USB port have completely broken, so I have got an old HTC Sensation out.
I've done S-OFF, Root, and installed CM10.1 (The latest build).
The problem is, I can't get any Unsimlock method to work..
I can use my phone without the request for the pin popping up, but otherwise I have no signal or connection.
My network is Giffgaff (UK) which uses O2 signal.
I have no connection to the network at all (for example to send messages or initiate calls/receive calls), never mind data.
I've tried the following:
Method 1 (The date showed up, so I can't unsimlock this way)
Method 2 (This one didn't work because I have 1.27 Hboot)
This method (This sort of works, I can use my phone without having to enter the network unlock pin, but I have no connection to the network).
No network connection image. This is clean CM10.1 install. S58 data has successfully cleared, but my Giffgaff sim doesn't work
Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

You'll have to use method 2 BUT first downgrade your firmware to 1.17/18 and then flash the file. As soon as you've done that you just upgrade back to the latest firmware and voila, sim unlocked!

That's what I tried with the 'third' method on my OP.
Install Firmware 1.17 (Firmware 1.17 Universal)
Install nbh file (PG58DIAG.nbh from here)
Install Firmware 3.32 (Firmware 3.32 Universal (Non-TMOUS))
Also tried "Firmware 3.32 unlocked hboot http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mrynwif8cznhhvx"
I've checked the Giffgaff APN settings here and they are correct on my phone too.
Have I done anything wrong? or is there anything more I need to do?
Here's what my BL says at the moment (I've tried 3.33, didn't work :/ )

It may not be an un-sim-lock problem, but a radio problem perhaps?

No cell service with any ROM after unlocking

Unlocked and S-OFF Verizon Incredible 4G LTE. I unlocked it with Rumrunner's tool, flashed TWRP (from their page), and flash CM10.2. No cell service. I tried a few things like reflashing/updating radios, etc no change. I tried a PacMan ROM. Same result. Tried a Viper ROM. Same result. Then I flash the stock rooted and deodexed ROM and I still have no service. Just sits in roaming.
Here's info from my Bootloader screen:
Currently show this on bootloader:

I don't care what ROM I use at this point. I'll even relock everything and put it back stock. Just want it to work. Help!
EDIT: EDIT: I have since relocked my phone and loaded up the stock RUU 2.17 Verizon ROM, per this walkthrough. Everything went smoothly. My bootloader now says "RELOCKED". Still no cell service. I tried dialing *228, but as soon as I hit call an alert pops up "A Verizon Wireless SIM card has activated your service and updated your phone's roaming capabilities." Well, still no service.... Dialing *22899 does the same thing.
(ignore my sig)

No network service.

Hey Guys!
Yesterday I flashed the rom "Liberty S4 MAX".
Within the Aroma installation it has an option to flash radio (I believe v1.20) and I said yes as I thought it would work good with that rom.
After playing around a little I found that the rom didn't statisfy my needs and I flashed MagioROM.
MagioROM did statisfy my needs, BUT I noticed that my network wouldn't work when I booted up my phone.
The problem I have now:
Every time my phone boots up I can enter my PIN-Code and the phone will stay on "No Signal" (no network service).
I do have a Wi-Fi signal.
I can , however, get it to work: I open my phone and open the dialer. I type *#*#4636#*#* and it bring me to the "testing" configuration. I can click "Phone Information" and scroll down to the preferred network service. It says WCDMA Preferred which is good. I can click "Turn off radio" and than click on "Turn on radio" enter my PIN-Code again and BOOM! the network works.
The network is, however, not stable and sometimes I have to do this step again a few times while my phone is running.
How do I solve this problem?
I did try to flash a new radio. I flashed every radio in this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
I did try another rom (ViperOneS) but still the same problem.
My Phone:
HTC One S (S4)
S-ON
HBOOT : 2.15.0000
RADIO : 1.15.50.05.29
Thanks in advance!

If you have S-OFF just flash another Radio from a .zip in CWM or TWRP
aint work with noew radio
i've clean up sim card and sim card plug space - for now it is ok
anyway - thanks for advice
Same problem.
I upgraded to hboot 2.16 (my radio was 1.20.50.05.16; I am S-off with a 11111111 CID) and can now no longer connect to my network.
When I did *#*#4636#*#*, I got WCDMA, which was wrong. But I've tried different versions of GSM (which is what I need), and none seem to work. Even on the phone info screen, it keeps saying 'GSM service: Emergency calls only'. Also after I do radio off/radio on, it asks me for my pincode, I enter that, it accepts it, but nothing changes.
I've also flashed another radio (1.35a.32.45.27), but I get the same problem (first it says WCDMA, but even when I change to GSM, it still doesn't work.)
I've ran various RUUs - none of them solve the problem.
And I have of course tried to remove and reinsert the sim-card - but nothing works.
Does anybody have any ideas about what might be wrong?

I'm still stuck with this problem. and would still be grateful for any ideas about what the problem might be and (especially) how to solve it. Oh and to add to the mystery: when I put in my daughter's sim-card, it DOES automatically register without any problems. And I have already tried deleting all APNs and re-enter one based on the instructions given on the website of my provider (KPN), but I still can't get it to work,. There must be some other bizarre thing here...
