How to keep wifi on? - Asus Transformer TF700

My wifi literally turns off over night. I made sure that the wifi always on is toggled. What gives?

An application that is set to turn it off every night at a certain time? Or else the battery saver settings kicking in to turn off WiFi to save power?

Just to clarify, you have checked the "keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" under advanced Wi-Fi settings set to "always"?

The TF201 didn't run on Jellybean... Different OS version, different rules.
Jellybean introduced Battery Saver. It automatically turns everything off to conserve power.

You can disable the auto-power-off-battery-saver stuff in the Settings app...

Shake Awake App?

Is there some app that will perform the above-mentioned function well? I let my tab's display turn off, but when I want to return to it, I still use the power button.
Any of these types of apps work without major battery drain?

I hope one day there would be an app for TF700 like this one
http://forum.ponury.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=562
I tried Awesome On and Off on my Galaxy S phone and found it drained my battery pretty dramatically. I installed the same app on my 700t, and it worked reasonably well, then quit. Re-upped it and then even that started draining the ASUS. Is this just a side effect of these types of apps?
It's a good concept but I can't take the drain.

Wifi off but shown always running?

Not impacting battery that much but what's up with this? It's been off the entire time.

Do you have Scanning always available enabled under Settings - WiFi - Advanced ? This setting allows wifi to stay on even when turned off for some location based stuff.

[Q]Turn WiFi off with Screen [Wifi Sleep Policy]

I have selected the option "Never" in the "Keep WiFi on during sleep" but still my battery history shows a long blue line under "Wifi" regaurdless of the "Screen On" bar.
I tried turning off the "Scan always Available" option too, but the problem still exists.
I problem persists in all the 4.4.2 ROMs I have used, including stock.
Is this a bug? or did I miss something?

I think the function in the Wi-Fi setting had bug. It didn't work for me.
U should use tasker to sleep ur Wi-Fi every screen off. That's what I'm doing.

WiFi disconnects

Does anyone else experience WiFi drops from this phone or is there probably just something wrong with my router.
Settings -> Wifi -> Advanced -> Keep wifi on during sleep... is that set to always?
What ROM, Kernel are you using?

Yes always on is set, I have the issues on cm m9 and paranoid android.
Could be router problems. Stock kernel?
Yeah I always use stock kernel
The only thing I can think of is it being a router problem. Do you have another device around? Use that device and connect to your wifi and see if you can reproduce your WiFi disconnects, if it disconnects then its your router.
If you cannot, go to a friend or familys house or public wifi and see if you can reproduce your WiFi disconnect problem.
My phone does this it's not a router issue

One more to back your clame up it drops my WiFi and my nexus 5 is still connected. CM need to get to work. This phone has been out for a while and things like this should have been fixed by now.
Still love it but glad I still have my nexus. Not being a fan boy just being truthful.
Yeah i have the same issue, my phones wifi goes orange every time it goes into deep sleep. It's really annoying
Do you guys happen to be using Snapdragon Battery Guru? Or any battery saving applications?
It's the phone. Not the router.
Does it happen on your other devices? No? Then it's the phone.
Someone else was having the same problem and had BatteryGuru installed which was turning WiFi off when the phone screen is off to "conserve battery."
Check your user apps guys.

Well I was asking that because they can be using those apps which are conflicting with wifi being disconnected when screen is on. I personally am not a fan of battery conservation apps, they don't do much in my opinion. Handling wakelocks and allowing ur phone to deep sleep is more important.

I know I was just saying I don't sorry man.. [emoji4]
I am a very straight forward guy so please don't take me the wrong way.
It doesn't even happen to me when its in deep sleep...its when I'm actively using the phone. My WiFi will drop and my network will disappear from the wifi list in settings, then 10-15 seconds later it reconnects.

That exactly what mine does. Sometimes I have to reboot to get it to recognize my network. It's annoying to say the least. I may try another ROM to see if it's any better

Using another rom will not resolve the problem, the wifi driver is within the kernel not rom. Try using other kernels instead.

WIFI drains my battery while turned-off (6.0.1)

Hello guys. I noticed that after 6.0.1 wifi drains my battery when it's off and not even kept on during sleep (it's set on never). Wi-Fi frequency band is automatic though. Location is set on battery saving mode.
When I go to battery details the first thing to appear after charging the phone to the full is Wi-Fi to 1%. The time running increases little by little, no CPU usage and the computed power use also rises in mAh as time goes by.
Thanks!

I don't have that option. Network notification is foggy and can't change it.
