Help please, my g2x wont turn up anymore... - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hi you all... i have a REAL BIG RROBLEM with my LG G2X, i was charging it but not using it, and when i go to check it my g2x just do nothing...
I try everything, unplugged, pluged, with or without battery... but norhing, it smells a litle like burned and it was a little hot but it gets warmer when i use it to play heavy 3d games....
One of the times it start normally but the battery shows 0 and charging, i restart to CMW and wipe cache, and wipe dalvik and try to start again but it turned off while booting and since that it wont do nothing, even pressing vol+ and vol- while connecting to pc do nothing to try to NvFlash...
when i left it connected it gets a little warm and the battery charges, the battery its fully charged but it wont to turn up...
(Send this rare phone to a tecnic service here in venezuela is like send a litle blond child to a pedofile... they will destroy the phone....)
I was using CM7 last Nightly.
CMW Touch
modded like the stock LG UI with LG UI 3.0 theme for CM7 and Go launcher with LG UI 3.0 Theme, Stock kernel, no oc, only V6 supercharger... No more mods....
I need help and sorry for my bad english, i will understand every of your comments im trying to learn this language...

Like 3 months, but my battery was great... +14hrs on normal use... i use my phone from the 7am to 8pm that i get to home and always with 10-15% left, playing Dead Trigger, music or some videos on the sub for 15 minutes, and doing the same at the university or the work...
Also i wiped dalvik and cache, try to re-start it but it does not... and my pc don't recognite it even to nvflash it... i don't know what is going on, please a don't want to use my old blackberry torch again

If you can, put it back to stock Gingerbread, kernel and ROM. Then see if it improves.

I will try that, now i charging it and when i press the power button its shows the battery charging up, i will contain my self, get some patience, find whathever thing to do while it charges alone...
lets se if its works now..
With stock 2.3.4 and 2.3.3 it only gets 4-5Hours of battery, with EaglesBlood ICS and other ICS/JB roms too... the best battery results and temperture that i have is with CM7 2.3.7 and Stock kernel...

Ready, my cellphone is fully charged and working well. This confimrs all... LG PHONES ARE IMPOSIBLE TO BRICK!
THANKS YOU ALL!

The best kernel and ROM are those that work without screwing up the phone and enable you to do whatever you need to. Get at least one more battery and an external charger from a vendor on Amazon or eBay who has excellent feedback. I bought a few, including the fat high capacity ones with the additional back that accommodates the larger battery.

Can you tell me please what rom has the best performance with the HDMI??... becouse i have low framerates...

I don't use my phone's HDMI, I only test it to determine that it works when I install kernels and ROMs. There won't be any hardware video acceleration with anything that's ICS based because the NVIDIA hardware video acceleration drivers aren't available, yet. Try a Gingerbread based ROM and compatible kernel. Ask someone who's a gamer.

Thanks you for your answer!...
I'm still using CM7 last nightly and Stock kernel...

Battery drain while phone is off

Since I flashed Kyrillos' ROM v10 Beta and after ICS build 3, I didn't notice this problem, but now if I shut down and leave the phone off for hours (ex. in the night) my battery drains and even goes to 0% !!!
I also made screenshots for better explaining...
Is anybody else facing the same problem?
Any ways for solving it? Or is my battery fault?
Thanks for the advices
take a look at this thread, the first couple of pages should get you started on solving this

I have a similar issue,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22598720#post22598720
I changed my battery and it still persists. So far I have not found a way to fix. However I got the phone this way, so I am not sure if any particular ROM was flashed to cause this or if its a hardware problem. If I find any solutions I will be sure to let you know.
If you find any please be sure to post it up as well so I can try it out.
Thanks

You mean just kernel or the complete ROM with which kernel?
Cause I think it's most probably a kernel issue.
I tried to use app linked on first answer but I can only see stats and I can't determine where the problem is...
It shows wakelocks when phone is on, but not when it's off so what?
I don't like change every day a new ROM or charge so often battery without using it, so I'll try Kyrillos 9.5 again and if it will solve my problem then maybe is too soon for CM7 or ICS on this phone.
Stay together and maybe we can find a solution.

I mean power off, not only screen off, but also in that case I can't explain why battery drains in ~20 hours using it or even letting it on standby (I'm sure no 3g, GPS, wifi, Bt or background apps are on).
Why?
Anyway I'll give pure CM7 a try...

about the drain when screen is off use the app on that thread and determine which apps cause wakelocks and either remove them or change their settings (that's what i see on the screenies you attached). also keep in mind that kernels are responsible for about 80% of battery usage, so try out a different kernel too
however if there is drain when the power is off then there is something seriously wrong on your hardware. i suggest you take the battery out and leave it be for a few hours, then put it on again and see if it drained at all. If it did then replace your battery, if not then you probably need to take your to a service center

You confirmed what I thought...
Vertical gap you can see on my attachments happened while phone was off, so it's surely a kernel issue, but if I'm the only one who had this problem, maybe it's also a battery problem?
So, unlike what I said before, I'm gonna turn back to froyo (I think Kyrillos 9.5) after your adv of letting battery out of the phone for some hours, to see if I can return to 2-3 days of use without charging.
I'll post news when I'll get answers from my phone, anyway thank you for helping me understand.
Definitively, that was a kernel issue!
Now battery lasts less than 2 days, but even with CM7 from marcellusbe, I haven't battery drain while phone is off.
My phone/battery is 16 months older, so I'm feeling quite lucky having this battery life.
Good luck to all other Galaxy 3 users and thank again for the help and fabulous support here in xda!

ROM suggestion

My fiance has had her charge for a while now and she is starting to get fed up with the battery life and lag. We have gone as card as turning off the 4g but she is still unable to make it through the day on a cullen charge with very little use. What rom would be best for improved battery life while maintaining the look and feel of touchwiz?
Thanks

I would say your best bet is eclipse or tweak stock. Not really touchwiz but very great roms.
Eclipse thread can be found here

Tweakstock you'll see in development section.

I recommend using eclipse or tweakstock for a rom. But you may want to just try imnuts custom kernel first and under volt the cpu. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/137-01-30-12peanutbutta-jelly-time/ That would improve the battery. If you're still not satisfied then try a rom with the kernel.
If you phone is ROOTED. You can download "battery saver" by Antutu from the Market(free) and try out for 2 days. This may help you with your battery without too much hassle.

What!! I'm running it right now with Tweakstock and PBJ kernel and it really really save me battery big time. I have tried to under volt, and turning off 4G, lower screen settings etc.. not help. Max I can get is 6-9hrs. After installed this, I hit 15 hrs normal use and 20hrs light usage. It controlled the CPU frequency and put my phone in very deep sleep. If I just make 1hrs of total calls and 20-30 text I can hit 20hrs easily. If I used Facebook heavily (65% screen on, about 3hrs total), I get 6-8hrs. Something is funky with your setup. During testing I uninstalled and reinstalled this app couple times and never any issue. Do me a favor while you're back to fresh stock, rooted and pop it back on see if it's working. I'm happy to provide screen shots if you don't believe me.
BTW, I have wifi,4g,gps on 24/7. While I'm in my house it automatically used wifi and when I'm out on the road it switched to 4g automatically. The samsung factory feature is working fine too.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I might give tweak stock a try
Sent from my MB870 using XDA App
The last few ROMs I tried, Tweakstock, Infinity, Gummy...all were very laggy. Didn't seem to matter what I did or how I did it. Camera was always a crap shoot on whether it would freeze up or not. I finally said the hell with it and went back to stock and then just plain rooted it. So far so good. It sucks cause I hate TW and the look of stock...but at least the phone is responsive.
Try Eclipse
You should really give Eclipse ROM a try. It is extremely smooth and fast....very responsive and the devs and community over at the site are very helpful if you run into problems. Yesterday, with light use, my phone was at 60% (15h 11m 25s on battery) at the end of the day. Best battery life I have ever gotten out of my Charge yet. Give it a try....you will not be disappointed.
Sounds more like something with the way you are flashing and/or your data restore. I would suggest that if you ever flash anything again you start from a totally clean slate
Charged up post!
I did flash from a clean slate multiple times, first few days the new builds seemed OK. After awhile it just got worse and worse. I've been on the rooted stock build for over two weeks and it still is pretty good. I'm done tweaking this phone, I'll have an upgrade option in May and then I will probably get the Nexus or wait a bit if something else worthwhile is coming soon.

Very basic question

I just got my charge in the mail from verizon (replacement for revolution) well they sent the phone overnight but the battery two day. the question I have is should the phone turn on when plugged in without a battery

Eclipse or my favorite is tweakstock. ICS is creeping up to so watch for that.....

Both Tweakstock and Eclipse are good, stable ROMs. I prefer Tweakstock, but thats just my opinion. My suggestion would be to flash them both and see which you like better. And flash PJB kernel, its the best one out there. I would flash the PJB Tweakstock combo that automatically changes ur partitions to ext4 which is faster.

HTC Sensation with CynogenMod 9 Battery runs super fast...

Hey guys, I am pretty new here and was wondering if there was anything that I could do to make my battery life longer. The only reason why I wanted to root my phone was so that I could save some battery life and not have to worry. I would say that I do use it a lot, but would that really effect how fast the battery is gonna go out on me? Like I said I am really new and don't know much about the rooting process (my friend helped me get the ROM on my phone and rooted/s-off, all that good stuff). So if you guys could just let me know if there are any things I should be looking for or what I could post on here to see if I can keep my battery up and running longer.
Thanks abunch.

Yeah I am using the stock battery, but I have been seeing people using the stock battery and being able to last a really long time. Do you guys think that it may be the fact that I leave it charging for long periods at a time? I usually go to sleep with the charger on it.
Use a different ROM. Cyanogen Mod does not give good battery life, never really has for the Sensation.

Did the friend that did all the magic for you clear the old battery stats after flashing the ROM? If not, this can problems with battery life.
If you don't know, just download an app called Battery Calibration. Charge your phone til it's at 100%, hit calibrate, and unplug the phone.
This clears the old stats and allows the new ROM to build new ones.

I can't shake the Android OS from draining my battery.

I've had this problem once before and it was simply as easy as switching my kernel. You can see here.
Now I've tried GR to CM9 and then to Codename Android Build 4 still had the problem changed Kernels.. Then decided to GR to CM9 and try Beam, and yet again still had Android OS draining the battery. I then flashed the Hefe kernel and NO change.. I've looked around on forums and remember seeing someone mention strange battery stats I can't find it at the moment, but if you look at my stats below you can see that not only is the Android OS draining the battery the graph shows huge drop off points. What exactly are those? Thanks in advance for any help!

@getochkn
Yeah, but you were sleeping or doing nothing, phone was idle. LOL Seriously, how is that possible? I have tried many ROMs, today I had a big issue on CM9, battery dropped from 60's% to 1% when phone got stuck and shut down. I had an emergency and needed my phone to call and couldn't. I got very pissed off and now I'm on GB because that battery drain issue has been all over ICS. I have tried calibrating, GR's, I use less apps... nothing! Phone lasted like 4-6 hours with average use. I needed to charge it like 3 times per day. It made my mobile phone, not so mobile.
Not complaining. Just a real issue. I know there are bugs and that development is ongoing. I love ICS but just can't afford to loss so much battery again in another emergency case scenario.
I would be happy to get 12 hours of use. I remember with Redux 1.2 (GB) I got 18-25 hours depending on use. Share some of your usage. I may need to buy a new battery.
