I have had this for about a week now and here are my issues - I want to know if it is just me and I should exchange it or???
Touchscreen - seems not responsive at times.
Netflix - movies and shows will just pause for no reason. Have to tap to play again.
Portrait/landscape switching - seem very slow
web browser - has a different screen brightness than regular? I have auto turned off set it to about 50 percent but whenever I launch the browser - the brightness drops to like 30 and I manually set it to 50 but every time...boom back down.
is this thing buggy or did I just get a bad one?
All you have wrote is same with my tablet, and more:
1.Browser crashes at some links and it is almost impossible to moderate forums.
2.Wake up after pressing power button takes around 1sec.
3. WiFi connection is very poor with some ruters (tested on public WiFi spots, connects but browsing is very, very poor compare to my old Galaxy P1000).
It`s good to have one tread with all bugs and issues collected
P.S I terribly sorry I`ve exchanged my P1000 with P6200.
Are you on stock or rooted and what kernel?

Using srock rom, ADW EX and Dolphin Browser. None from above issues in my Tab. Everything works smoothly without crashes.

Is this happening on build in browser? Try Dolphin and see the difference. I have no problems at all. Anyway try settings and cache cleaning some times.

Yes, it happens only in default browser, so I start using Opera Tried all setting before passing to Opera.
And one more issue, screen freezes at landscape sometimes. This happened fife times since I have this tablet (2 months).
SOD is killing me! All the sudden it shuts down while the battery is charged!, everything else works fine.
BTW i was using my tab for 1 week or so and had no probs with it @ all, but 2 days ago it started to have the SOD thingy!?

There is a thread devoted to the SOD, but I'll save you at least an hour and write up the fixes we've found for it here:
1. Try removing your SD card. (It seems that Sandisk SD cards have been quite troublesome. It's mainly class 2 Sandisks and off-brand cards, but taking them out usually improves it.) If it does stop SODing, you can then reformat the card and put it back in. If it still SODs after that, you may need to get a different card. Go with Class 4, that seems to be the one that people have less issues with. Usually people with SD related SODs have other issues with their SD, such as an inability to read/write or random "Media Scanning" messages.
2. (If the SD card doesn't fix the SODs,) install "Auto Airplane Mode," by DON. It is available for free in the Android Market. This usually stops the SOD's or decreases their frequency to a minor annoyance.
After you've done that, I would recommend that you take some time and read through the SOD thread if you haven't already. It's always helpful to know about the issue, and we're actively working on a more permanent, cohesive workaround. We have, at least, discovered the cause of the SOD, and garyd9 is in contact with Samsung about the issue. The thread is here
Good Luck!
My touch screen is less responsive when I am plugged into the wall sometimes. And my capacative stylus never works right in the morning...

I think I am returning it - it pretty much has the same hardware as my GIIS but seems laggy, The screen is kind of washed out to me. The touch screen is very very laggy - in Fruit Ninja it is especially evident versus my asus or GIIS. I love the form factor and dumped a kindle fire for this - guess I will wait for a good 7"
Hi guys,
Not sure it was there when I got my 32Gb Note 10.1 or not. I updated it to the latest software version early on. I don't have that many apps installed on it and only a couple of widgets on the desktop. The scroll stutters at times when I start scrolling: it starts off fine, then stutters for a short time, almost like a single hick up, and then continues just fine. It's doesn't happen 100% of the time but is more consistent as of late. I observed it going from screen to screen and in the main browsers scrolling through the page. I restarted the tab, closed running apps/services, which made no difference.
Has anyone noticed anything similar to that? Does that sound like a normal behavior? Have had a few Android phones before but this is my 1st Android tab so not sure what level of performance I should expect. Thanks!
Have not experienced any stuttering. The only time I have noticed the SGN10.1 stuttering is when drawing shapes in s.note. then it can get a little bogged down.

Try going to settings, developer, and under window and transition animations. Try setting to.5 or zero.
That should fix it.
I was using HD Widgets and had a 8x1 clock/weather widget on my first home page. I was playing with the stock clock/weather widget and by removing the HD Widget's clock the stuttering improved a lot. I'm still using it for some toggles and that seems fine. If anyone is using HD Widgets you can remove the widgets you're not actively using and that seems to speed things up too.
i have a 3 day old 16gb wifi gnote. my experience with stuttering has been unmistakable in 2 places: general system animations (moving between screens or opening settings for example) and a laggy stock browser.
when i swipe home screens, i get similar stutters as the OP. so i went ahead and cleaned up all the stock (bloatware) widgets... hardly a solution but i hope it isnt a problem when i do install useful widgets soon.. someone suggested reducing animations to 0.5x or 0. well thats really sad for a higher end tablet i think. similar stuttering scrolls in gmail and play store.
with the browser, i usually get stutters when scrolling a fairly heavy page. the most annoying thing is that if there are many images on a page, the browser blanks them out when scrolling and then redraws them at the end of scrolling! so i simply installed chrome instead... and thats working better
i also tried this game called wind up knight just to see some 3d action... there too the stutter was quite obvious.
im not blown away by the quad core awesomeness out-of-the-box i must say. i think my 2 year old HTC HD2 (1ghz single core) is generally faster at running ics. i hope custom roms are able to better harness the hardware...
forgot to mention that i am running the old UEALGB rom

So what exactly does this do?
I am on my second g note. Got rid of the 16 GBP for the 32. The only thing I have done on both was got rid of the widgets it came in stalled with and adj the settings and it flies like butter.
Someone else mentioned the power saver mode. Check that it is not on.

No power savings mode. I suspect some of you just not noticing it. I do have an eye for those kind of things though.
i didnt have my power saving mode on... the problem became extremely irritating with that feature on...
however i did restart my tablet and that did solve almost all my worries! i too now have a "buttery smooth" tablet before restart, my ram usage was around 1.4gb and i suspect around 70+ active apps in memory. after restart, my ram usage was 0.4gb and all the lags and stutters went away! so one possible solution could be for you to go to task manager and clean out active apps from memory. then check if there is any stutter in general usage. hope this helps!
ps: i did clean out all my home screen bloat widgets. so i really cant say how smoothly they will scroll after cleaning out the ram.

I think anyone who comes to this site for info knows what lag is and looks like.:cyclops:
Not denying that there are some defective units, as with any thing to buy there will be some.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply anything. I do appreciate all the help and feedback from all xda members.
I was just basically reflecting on my nature and the fact that I do tend to concentrate on details sometimes. So, my point was that there may or may not be lag there and perhaps I'm just "seeing" things. I have a good eye for these things in general, so assuming lag or more like stutter is there, the next question is whether that's something particular to my tab or others are seeing it too. If later is the case than it could be software and/or hardware issue. I thought the specs this thing packing it should have no problems scrolling silky smooth. Don't wanna jump to any conclusions just yet though...
Tried reducing animation scale but it made little difference. Wondering, just for comparison, has anyone seen Note 10.1 scrolling videos posted out there?
Thanks!
I agree it does stutter slightly. If you are reading an article and are scrolling down as you read, its not smooth. Hopefully they will fix it.

Thanks for sharing! Anybody else ran into this as well?
Actually, now that you mention it...
When i first received the tablet, i noticed the lag swiping from screen to screen. I shut it off after about 15 minutes, to charge the battery faster when the unit is off. After rebooting, i noticed it seemed to go much faster....
Also, after installing the update (which may or may not be available anymore) my overall smoothness went up about 100%, something i noticed immediately.
Doesn't stutter for me anymore, unless i have power saver mode on and really pushing it. Asphalt 7 (looks somewhat hi-tech 3d graphics, maybe not) runs exceptionally well, so i am not sure i'm getting the lag anymore. Maybe this is what some of the reviewers saw at first, while doing their first 15 minute review?
I can't complain anymore because it seems to be fine on mine, with the exception of this XDA app

Trying to get a sense if this is a widespread issue with almost every GNote or with just a small number of tabs. If first is the case then it can probably/likely be addressed via some software update. But if it's a later case then exchange is in order. I have no way of reliably validating it so I'll probably gonna go for an exchange early next week.
Anyone has some Samsung feedback linky handy, other than FB, by any chance? Thanks.
Not to hijack my one thread... but I have a new problem develop last night: some parts of the screen, left side in particular, in the standard browser weren't responding to touch/clicks. Tried clearing out all apps, restarting the browser, etc. Didn't help much. Seems to be better. Not sure what's going on.
I have the sync up to my note 3 (very cool) , but the keyboard wont pop up... Also the tablet feel laggy, more so than my note 3.... I turned development mode on and turned off transitions... any suggestions?
It really shouldn't lag. Have you tried a factory reset? Usually the best option when you have these issues.

You know others are having this lag problem also. I'm wondering if the tablet is downloading updates and causing the lag. Look in the upper left corner and see if the little down arrow is moving up and down. If so then your tablet is downloading something in the background. When my tablet is doing that then my streaming vids are jerky. That could be the perceived lag that you may be experiencing.
Does anyone else have the same issue as myself, which is the horrible autorotate issue? By issue I mean the phone refuses to rotate all the time. I find myself constantly rotating my phone in circles both horizontal and vertical as well as a combo of both. Sometimes it will rotate but takes a decade. Any thoughts or fixes would be appreciated.
Yes i do but the issue only started after the last update i believe.
I too have same issue also I wish I could set battery saver to not instantly turn auto rotate off.
I also experienced this issue
My (temp) solution: if u rotate ur phone the rotation icon on the navbar will appear and you can press it. Auto rotation on this phone is f* up
Have the issue since day 1. Fierce annoying when watching YouTube.

i've never had so many annoying problems like the the screen brightnes or dodgy rotation on a phone. Seriously dissapointed. I previously had a LG G6 and despite the performance difference i really like that phone much more than op7 pro right now. Still... after 3 years

I too came from a G6 which I loved. Between this anti rotate and lack of pocket lock function, maybe I should of just got the G8.
Just got my phantom black, 12/256 exynos version delivered today, been using it since this morning and I noticed that on mobile data I have little to no connection even though the 5g icon is stable in the Taskbar, as soon as I connect to wifi everything runs normally. I also had the purple glitch when touching the fingerprint sensor but solved it by disabling the dinamic animated lock screen wallpaper and putting in a normal, static one.
Another issue is that the phone locks itself (goes to lock screen) while browsing the apps (just like double tapping on home screen) but not while using any app.
I hope this is just firmware issue since they are shipping all the phones with the same firmware region based but maybe they still need feedback from some carriers (hence the mobile data issue) and also the display glitches I believe are nothing that a firmware update wouldn't fix.
P. S. : in these first few hours I didn't get at 1 hz refresh rate

With my xiaomi 12 pro if the screen brightness is dim it doesn't go to its lowest refresh rate. Increase the screen brightness and see if it goes to 1 hertz
I am having exactly all the same problems as OP with my 12/512 Exynos version. Now wondering if it is hardware or software issue with the screen glitching when using the fingerprint sensor. The glitch only occurs when using 3088x1440 wqhd+ resolution and dynamic animated lock screen. Position of the screen interference is always the same but can differ in size.

Could this also be a YouTube thing also? Like how Netflix has to certify certain devices in order to use HDR content. Maybe these new 2.0 panels need to have apps updated to work with them.

They forgot to mention one thing. The adaptive refresh rate only works, if your brightness is above 8% or ambient light sensor reads more than 40 lux.
So if you are some like me, with low brightness and low ambient light, get ready for your battery to dissappear as it will be stuck at 120Hz...
on some forums it is mentioned that on Vivis setting for display, the problem does not occur anymore; can you confirm?
anyway, the fact that these artefacts are not displayed when in FHD setting, shows that it is not a display problem, but a software or GPU
I've posted this in a separate thread. I don't think my issue is linked to the screen issues described here. I have a flashing green pixel. Seems like hardware. See the pics.
I have a mountain of problems too, with S22 Ultra black 12/256.
I've got:
Overheating and rebooting in my pocket when doing nothing
Random hanging whilst scrolling down a long list
Intermittent flashing green dots (I think four) across the screen
Horrendous battery life (had it for only 48 hours, but still)
S-Pen sometimes doesn't fire the Air Actions menu when removed (or basically just doesn't notice it's been removed?)
And not really a problem, but after 4 generations it still can't record HDR and 60 frames per second, when in 4k.
This is a huge disappointment, and the fastest tech return ever from me.
